Worst service. They got mad when I asked a question about their combos! Not clean either. Will not be back.

My children had week-long swim lessons in Collierville, so I checked out the restaurants in the…read morearea on Yelp and found FryDay Fish. I saw them on a Monday but noticed they weren't open until Friday. When Friday came, I made sure to check them out. After going back and forth in my head, I decided to go with the fried salmon sandwich with fries and a piece of catfish on the side. I also ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade. When looking at the menu prices, I felt they were standard. When I got my food, I was a bit disappointed with what I received. For $6, I expected the catfish to be a whole filet. I've seen photos of catfish plates where customers received a whole filet, so that's what I was expecting. It appeared that my filet had been cut in half lengthwise, so the portion was much smaller than I expected. Flavor-wise, it was just okay. When it comes to the salmon sandwich and fries, they were both very bland. The fries had no salt or pepper whatsoever. The salmon wasn't much better. I could visually tell that pepper had been added to the batter, but the fish itself hadn't been seasoned. Aside from the pepper, I'm not sure the batter was seasoned either. Additionally, the sandwich didn't come with any toppings or condiments, so it was very dry. I did ask for tartar sauce and ketchup packets, but I only received two tartar sauce packets, which wasn't nearly enough for both the sandwich and the catfish filet. I felt that the salmon was fried perfectly, and I did enjoy the crunch, but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some lettuce or pickles--or at least the option to add them. I'm not sure if the lemonade was freshly squeezed or not, but I didn't notice any seeds or pulp that would indicate it was. It tasted good, though, so no complaints there. If I were to try them again, I'd get the salmon grilled instead of fried, and I'd probably try the whole catfish instead of the filets. The food wasn't bad--just underwhelming. The customer service was good, but I do wish they were open during the week. I really wanted to like the food here, but this visit just didn't live up to my expectations

She was so outgoing and new exactly what we needed and when we needed it. We always have a lot of modifications and our special needs son who started the meal off screaming that he was scared of her (as he is with all strangers), but by the end he was laughing, actually ate quite a bit for him, and was so happy and asking to come again. That's amazing for a family like ours when it's so easy to dislike him or be scared, she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and for this family who doesn't get to go out a lot it meant the world! Thanks so much! Ask for Christina P and have a great meal!

I hate writing these type of reviews. Pam and I went to Red Lobster last night for Crab Fest…read morebecause she loves crab as for me I am not a fan of crab but I love shrimp. We arrived a 4:30 PM there was one other table in the Restaurant and we were greeted a full 2 minutes later. our waiter Chris came to the table very nice young man however he was not trained and hade very little menu knowledge. Any time we sake a question he had to refer to the menu from food to cocktails. Now I will say that the biscuits are great but that is where is ends. Pam ordered the Tuesday crab feast and I ordered the all you can eat Shrimp pick 3. More time seem to be spent trying to take our order for sides than anything else. Pam had Cole Slaw and I had Mashed Potatoes. I had a Margarita and Pam had a Draft. The drinks were okay. Here comes the food we were excited. Bummer Pam's two Snow Crab clusters were the smallest Clusters we have ever seen. We dig in and Pam's crab are cold and I am talking refrigerator cold, which tells me that they were put in the pot frozen. We returned them and got her a new plate ad they were hot. We both tried her Cole Slaw and it was not made fresh but out of a carton two bites was all it took yuck. My food was also not very good. My shrimp scampi were good and hot but the breaded shrimp were defiantly from the freezer, and the breading was mushy and not at all crisp. I third shrimp choice was Shrimp with Linguini Alfredo, The pasta was from a box and ways over cook, and the Alfredo Sauce was either from a jar or a frozen back and this is the easiest sauce to make fresh in a restaurant. So I had one breaded shrimp, one bit of the Shrimp Alfredo and all 6 pieces of the Scampi. Very Sad. We will never return to this restaurant.

The restaurant has a really neat vibe and is decorated better than most of the restaurants in the memphis area. We came at 5:00 on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately without reservations, but when we left, they did have a small wait to get a table. We started with the pimento cheese toastie which was garlic bread with melty pimento cheese on top. We both really enjoyed it. I decided on the filet with peppercorn sauce. I asked for it it to be butterflied. My steak was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of pink and it sliced like butter. I got the peppercorn sauce on the side and used it for a dipping sauce. I really liked the sauce, but it is really peppery. While I loved it, some might find it a little spicy. My husband had the bourbon glazed porterhouse pork chop. His was cooked perfectly fly as well and was super tender. He really enjoyed it, but mentioned that the sauce did have something in it that gave it a little spice. We shared an order of rosemary duck fat fries as the entrees come à la cart with no sides. The fries re heavy on rosemary which my husband didn't care for. I enjoyed them, but they were definitely not my favorite. Neither of us cared for the mayo sauce that they came with and preferred to eat them with ketchup. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming during my recent visits. I first ordered the lamb chops. They were not what I would consider traditional lamb chops and were surprisingly chewy and difficult to enjoy. I returned and decided to try the Irish Curry Chicken. It was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dishes I've had there. The menu described it as chicken thigh, but it was clearly chicken breast. The dish lacked basic seasoning and flavor. There was very little salt, umami, or curry flavor. The rice was wet, overcooked, and mushy. Overall, the entire meal tasted like something taken from a grocery store freezer section and reheated. At this point, I would recommend sticking to the fries and the burgers, which remain the strongest items on the menu.
