Old, and dated. Looked run down and almost over all customers were over the age of 75. Made a reservation for 6:30. Got seated at 7. The men's sink didn't work and there was a hair ball and no toilet paper in the woman's bathroom. It took over an hour to get your food. The chicken tenders were super dry and were not homemade. The steak was mid and over priced and lacked seasoning. The veggies on the side were raw and cold. But all and all the bread was delicious. The butter was delightful. read more

Come In for a to go order with my 5 year old. Seated in the bar!! Never carded. I ordered 1 beer, lemonade and a meal for my elderly parent. When I had to take my child to the bathroom our table was cleared, including our not fished drinks. The salad and bread was still on the table we went to use the restroom STILL waiting for the meal.. in the 5 minutes to use the bathroom our meal was packed and Table cleared... some asked If they could get me another beer to go. NO! The 1,000 old people and crappy service can go piss off. Tell me to have a good night after a 40.00 meal to go after poring out a drink I payed for and didn't get to drink. Suck it. read more

Service was good - but I'm a customer who has been frequently coming to knights - all locations- should not have to say the knights pour is light - glass overflowing with ice brought it to waiter's attention gave a explanation, but he knew it was light, ordered second and I joked about first being a standard pour vs knights - second drink knights proper pour - thank you Tris for when he brought it to the table he said here is a proper knights pour - our table ordered two London broils specials and two fired shrimp dinner - the two London broil should have been the same - one was perfect second meat was over cooked and tough - also a bit salty- ate in and just shook head - one of the shrimp was supposed to have skinny fries and other steak fries - both came out steak fries - not sure of what is going on with the kitchen read more

One of a kind. No chain feeling at all. Hometown comfort and ambience. Food is damn good, like Dad on the grill or Grandma in the kitchen. Affordable. Seems comfortable for kids. Great food! Very very tasty cows! Their steaks are amazing! The first time we went there, we had a filled. It was great, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The second time we went, we had a ribeye. While the steak and food was fantastic, the waiter seemed to be a put-out millenial! We asked for menus. His response was pointing to some square online thing and saying can't you see it? My husband is a technophobe with a flip phone, not a smart phone with all the apps. Also, with the lighting and our old eyes, I didn't want to try to read a menu on a 2 inch screen. He finally brought actual menus but we had great difficulty getting his attention for any service. Let alone a steak house. So well done there! The service was great, our food was prepared on time and it was tasty but the side of vegetables were in short supply tonight. Maybe their broccoli crop didn't do so well this year as I got two small stalks. The steak should have been a medium but appeared more rare--I prefer my meat to not be mooing when I eat it. First time ate here about 2 weeks ago and deep fried cod was very good. The staff is friendly and rolls are excellent. Now Christmas Eve 2022 dinner for 3. Prime rib at $42 not seasoned. Scallops at $25 swimming in 1" sauce. Twice baked potato dry from over cooking. Pasta with lobster ( almost non-existent). lacked a creamy seasoned sauce - sent back and got a burger to go. Total bill over $100. So disappointed- maybe depending on an inexperienced chef?? Won't be back. read more

Disappointing. I have eaten at this restaurant many times and enjoy the atmosphere and all the Tiffany lamps. The service is spotty, but acceptable, but the food is not the quality it should be. When I get a salad, I expect the greens in it to be fresh and crisp. Not brown when the romaine was cut and slimy and dark where the other greens are, some of the slimy ones being stuck behind the leaves. Obviously they are buying their salads in a bag and not even sorting out the bad looking pieces before serving them to customers. read more

Dinner tonight was halibut and whitefish - couldn't bring ourselves to go for steak prices on this trip. The halibut was AMAZING - not a normal menu item, and we're glad we tried it! The walleye is on the regular menu, and we were disappointed because it was full of bones. The flavors were good, but we literally had to remove at least 30+ bones. Not good. My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner. I like the stained glass lighting and the fresh roses on each table. Has a vintage and home style feel. Victoria was our waitress - she was wonderful and tentative. I did not care for the French Onion soup. But I enjoyed my Chicken Parmesan special and my boyfriend liked his Filet Mignon. This restaurant is hit or miss. The tired, dated decor is always an eyesore, and it's always the "sigh" choice because Jackson Co MI is an absolute food desert. Their steaks are ok, but the kitchen can't seem to run food. Last Saturday, the woman next to me sent back her COLD prime rib. After waiting forever for shrimp scampi, I got frostbite from the pasta. I've had a ok meals there a couple of times-- but nothing an Applebee's isn't putting out. Just...meh. read more

I have been a fan and enjoyed Knights restaurant since their location in Jackson Michigan opened. However, this is the second time in 3 months that I gave been disappointed. I dined with a companion for lunch and ordered the Knights burger. I have always loved their sweet potato fries. When I tried to order them my server stated that there is now only one choice of sides with sandwiches that being the steak fries. They were mediocre at best. Mr Knight, if you are only going to offer one side, it darn well better be excellent every time. My server was attentive. I am beginning to question Knights as a dining choice for me.
