Always a special occasion at this place…read more Group of 4 reservation on Friday at 7 pm. Table with view of river had spectacular view. Excellence is standard here from bar drinks and beers to service and especially the food. Shrimp cocktail coconut shrimp and fried green tomatoes for appetizers, although the ultra fine corn meal hush puppies are highly recommended too. Blackened redfish with special salsa was tender tasty and an unusually rich tasting treat. Mahi Mahi and Chilean sea bass were others chosen and one solo filet mignon. Conversation Slowed to a crawl with few oohs ahhs and you've got to try this statements all thru dinner. Desert was warm carrot cake and chocolate brownie Sunday. Decadent sweet and deliriously great with superb back coffee. Wait staff never left a glass unfilled and was great with recommendations for an unforgettable meal. Next time I'll come earlier to take advantage of the seafood market ( closed at 5 pm) for take home delicacies flown in fresh from everywhere greatest seafood exists. Can't wait til next excuse to go to Kingsport. We didn't scrimp on anything/ the bill was a tad over $ 200 with appetizers desert and entrees. But there were great looking selections on the lesser cost on the menu too. I was looking for a first class dinner experience and was perfectly satisfied. Stuffed and needing a nap after though lol

The view…read morefrom the outdoor seating is absolutely breathtaking, sitting next to a dam with the sound and view of the water raining down, precisely placed plants, just amazing. The indoor seating is gorgeous with a cabin environment and is in direct view of the kitchen where you can see the cooks while they're preparing your meal. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. When we arrived, the deck was at half capacity and there wasn't anyone that chose to sit indoors with it being an unusually warm day in March. When we left, the deck was at full capacity, the indoor seating was bustling but the wait staff never missed a beat. It took less than 15 minutes to get our food after ordering but you're greeted with rolls and some amazing garlic butter when you're seated. The food, the best food I've ever had in a restaurant!! The sautéed green beans seasoned perfectly, the grilled chicken sandwich was just right with a decent sized piece of juicy chicken! The ribs fell off the bone, the fried okra and broccoli, yum!! This will be my go-to anytime I venture into Tennessee.

Also, make sure to park in the designated direction and not sideways, as I noticed another vehicle being parked that way as well. There is a "No Parking" sign directly in front of the building, but additional signage near the first and second trees would help make the parking restrictions clearer. As for the food, I ordered the crab sandwich and was disappointed. It lacked flavor, and I encountered several pieces of crab shell while eating it. My daughter ordered the pulled pork sandwich and really enjoyed it. She wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese, finding it bland, but the mashed potatoes were very good. One thing to note is that they do not serve breakfast, and the menu appears to remain the same rather than changing throughout the day.

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and I believe there's also a bar area. We were seated right away, which was a great start. Their menu has a little bit of everything, from appetizers and gumbo to customizable seafood boils with different seasoning and spice options. Before our meal, they brought out their cheesy crab bread, and unfortunately I didn't snap a picture because we all devoured it within minutes. It was that good! I ordered a half pound of crawfish, a half pound of snow crab legs, and a lobster tail with the Cajun seasoning, "Make It Hot." Everything was delicious! The snow crab legs were packed with flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the lobster tail--it was incredibly meaty, buttery, and cooked perfectly. The boil also came with sausage, corn, and potatoes, making it a hearty meal. I also have to give a shoutout to our server, Amanda. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She checked on us often, cleared the table as we finished, and gave great recommendations when we had questions about the menu. If I ever find myself back in Tennessee, I'd definitely come back to Storming Crab!

I ordered 1lb of snow crab legs and added 1/2 lb of shrimps. It definitely felt like it had more crabs. Flavor was good too I got Cajun medium Felt like it could have been a bit more spicy but oh well.

The manager stopped by at our table to see if everything went well and if we were enjoying our food. (Which we were!!) the grilled Caesar salad was scrumptious, and the kids Mac and cheese was finger licking good! You could tell that the Mac and cheese was house made because it tasted super fresh. The decoration inside was cool and definitely gave sea food vibes. The food came out very quickly as well as desert. I recommend the cheesecake it was velvety goodness. Even though the menu font was a tad hard to read and the key lime pie was more of a cheesecake feel, it's still a no brainer. 5 stars!!!

Sits on the lake at a marina and a hidden gem. Lots of patio seating and decent amount of seating inside. Full bar though we didn't try it this trip. Needed water and food due to the heat of the day. Since it was after 8pm we were able to walk on and be seated right away. Decent size menu with both fish and burgers and wings to choose from. The salads also looked good. Opted for these tacos. Look at them. At this hour they look like the pix in the menu. I was amazed at the appearance but wowed by the flavor. So this is a hard shell in a soft shell with the most delectable filling I have had in a while. Lots of shrimp and the other items all blended for an amazing harmony of flavors. Definitely glad I changed at th last moment and went with these. Delicious!!! The onion rings were pretty and fluffy but not my style. Still good but at that hour too much breading. Service was very good. Parking seems to be split between upper and lower since you are on the side of a bank going down to the lake. The restaurant was clean and bright and is probably a hoping place on the weekends.
