Instead of taking it back and giving my friend a new order, the waitress kept defending it, as if her talking about it being mild would make it mild and thereby change my friend's experience of it being too spicy. The waitress brought my friend another bowl of butter, but by that time, my friend was no longer enchanted with the meal. As we continued eating, all the staff were clattering around, making a racket, moving chairs and even mopping up the floor with a disgusting pan and mop while we were still in the midst of eating.
