The food was amazing. I highly recommend the beef tips and their bread pudding. Their Brussels sprouts were great as well. My wife had the hot honey fried chicken and the Brussels sprouts with mashed potatoes. My son had the pork chops. We were all very pleased. Blair and Cheyenne were amazing servers and talked with us like valued friends. Amazing service! The building and atmosphere was excellent. Very rarely do I give a location 5 stars, but this restaurant deserves it. From the time we stepped in, everyone is making sure we had a good experience. This was my second time eating here in a week while driving through. That in itself is a huge compliment because usually we like trying different places when we travel. This time, we wanted to come back to try different items and it did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, collard greens came with a side of vinegar (thank you!), and the baked beans were truly the best I've ever eaten. This is definitely a steak/BBQ restaurant that has perfected their recipes. We will be back! read more

Stopped by for lunch. The hamburger and fries were good and cooked well, but the portion size felt a little on the smaller side. They have a pretty extensive menu though, so there are lots of other things to try. I'll definitely be back to check out more items! read more

Long Mountain Grill is a good restaurant to eat good food for a reasonable price. Nice style restaurant with a separate dining area from the bar. Drinks are ok pour, but tasted a little light. Service is good. Wait staff took order quick and came around to check on refills. There was a couple of times when it took the wait staff longer to get the refills back to our table even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Overall good experience and recommend trying them. read more

The food is very appetizing and nicely presented. The pizza and wings were very filling. The wait staff was prompt and I was comfortable with the temperature inside because I forgot my sweater. But the concern I had was getting the pizza and finding out that it was not what I ordered. We got pepperoni, onion and ham instead of pepperoni, beef and onion. We ordered this because my sister does not eat PORK. So I know what I ordered and it wasn't pork. Anyway everything was good and I will make sure next time when my daughter visits from Maryland and this mistake will not happen again! read more

Stopped in on a Tuesday night. There were about four or five tables occupied. We were immediately greeted and seated. Waitress took our drink orders within a minute or two. I had eaten there for lunch before but my wife had never been there. The eating area had a rustic feel to it. Cool pictures of old Rustburg lined the walls. Drink menus had appetizers on one side and beers/specialty drinks on the other. We didn't have any alcohol this go round. I ordered the cheesesteak with onion rings and my wife had a shrimp Italian dish with a side salad. My wife enjoyed her dish. My cheesesteak was real good with a hint of smoke flavor. Onion rings were slightly above average. The service was good with the waitress keeping our beverages full. The bill was forty bucks which I consider a little pricey but not a deal killer for next time. read more

We have eaten at the Long Mountain Grill several times prior to this without issue. Today was nothing like our previous visits. I've had the grilled chicken breast several times. It used to be a full chicken breast served with two sides. Today it was a processed piece of chicken that did not even resemble a breast. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. I ordered cole slaw with the meal and it was so bitter that I suspect it had gone bad. The mashed potatoes and gravy were the best part of the meal. Disappointing to say the least. This used to be a terrific restaurant when I was working in Rustburg but I think we'll be heading to the Mexican restaurant next door going forward. read more

We had a group of 50 for a rehearsal dinner on 8/31/24. We live in SC, so this was done completely via phone & internet. We landed on this restaurant after about a dozen failed attempts to hold our group size. The restaurant had a separate room we reserved. It was not cramped. The Manager had a suggested buffet menu which we altered one entree and one side. He was sooo flexible because these suggestions were not on their regular dining room offerings. We talked about alcohol options as well and their prices were super reasonable. It was ALL delicious! The remaining 5 of us came back to enjoy the full menu the day offer the wedding. read more

Ordered 3 appetizer's - Fried pickles which were good but not everybody likes ranch dressing for dipping. Other places usually give you something spicey. Ordered Bam - Bam shrimp, nothing Bam - Bam about them. Then we had the pig tails cheese fries; cheese was not real cheese and bacon was barley there. One of our dinner plates was a chicken wrap which could have used more sauce on it, plus maybe a spicey sauce. The sweet potato fries again could have used a nice dipping sauce rather than ranch dressing. All in all, the food was ok, and we will go back because of convivence but please get some creativity with your appetizer's. read more

Update ..we went back for a 2nd meal and service was terrible. Our waitress sadly was underage and could not bring beer to the table and we had to depend on the bartender who was more interested in keeping bikers in alcohol on the other side of the restaurant. I never had a beer at the same time i had food it was allways empty and waiting during apps and the dinner i ordered I even had to ask for a water to have on hand when my wife's glass went empty. I dont know about anyone else but struggling to ration beverages throughout dinner makes for a terrible experience. Its going to be awhile if ever for us to return and waste 75$ on chokeing down a meal with no beverage in sight. read more

This spot in Rustburg has been renamed the Long Mtn Grill (new owners?) Great tasting fried oysters appetizer, although the portion was small (6) for $10. The brisket sandwich was excellent, very tasty and tender delicious sauce and decent fries as one of the side choices. Sautéed onions with the burger were outstanding. Nice atmosphere for a sports bar/grill. PROs: nice salad and veggies cooked 'southern' style. Deserts made fresh in house. Staff very friendly. Ribs were very meaty with a nice sweet and tangy sauce. The ribs and the service are the best thing about this place. They literally fall off the bone. Otherwise, it is way overpriced, and everything else we had was mediocre at best. Atmosphere is meh. Not sure how a place can charge such high prices for the area and serve your drink in a plastic jar. My chicken sandwich was smaller than a fast food chicken sandwich and cost twice the price. (And wasn't as good as a fast food chicken sandwich.) Maybe try it if you are in the area for the ribs but I wouldn't make it a "destination". We probably won't go back unless some adjustments are made. read more

Heard this place was good from a couple people so we decided to try it one Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend had ribs/Mac & cheese/ house salad. His meal was good. I got a fried chicken salad and although the portion was good size, the chicken appeared grilled and was very chewy so much so that I could t even eat it. it also had a very weird taste. We went to Long Mountain on Wed 4/14/2021 at approximately 3:30 and sat on the left hand side of the restaurant walking in, in one of the first booths there. We were told an item was out and that was fine. Both my husband and I ordered sweet potato fries with our entree. They brought mine okay, but my husband got something else. We told the waitress. She came back with a tiny bowl with about 5-6 very small fries, whereas I had 5x as much on my plate. I was shocked. My husband being a quiet man didn't say anything, but how rude to do that to a customer. Not a word was said. It was as if we were to keep our mouths shut over that. I thought it was very poor business and not nice at all. Anyway, we will never go back there with that kind of service, and very poor treatment to my husband. We have much more professional services in mind. read more
