We went to see the Bruins play the Tampa Bay Lightning in a Stadium Series game. We were there for 3 nights. This bar was a 10-minute walk from the house we rented. We ended up going there every night since the weather was pretty poor, even though we are all from Boston. The bar was large, with a good-sized area for tables as well. They had pool tables and darts for entertainment. They also had a large number of large screen TVs all playing sports. It was a fun atmosphere, and the locals were quite friendly. We met several New England natives who now live in Tampa. Lucy was our server for all three nights. She was FANTASTIC. She was always present to get us more drinks and had a great attitude. She really made us feel like locals. The bar manager was also originally from New England and a Bruins fan. The drinks were strong, and the beer was cold, which was great. They had the best chicken wings I have ever had. The spice rub was great, and the wings and drumsticks were meaty and tender. Best of all, the prices were amazing We had a FANTASTIC time here and will visit again on our next trip. read more

First Stop - Great Find Great neighborhood bar. The owner and his wife are first class and make your visit enjoyable. Food is good and it's a reasonable night out. My name is Creek. I am a son of a farmer from Iowa. I went to West Point graduated with honors and I served my country for 30 years. I started going to this place called a Long Bar because I had friends that went there and it was a neighborhood bar. I would sit there very quietly anytime the bartenders or anytime I need the bartenders attention I would say ma'am. I was very courteous and professional. I have been cut off twice before 10:00 p.m. and not once was I giving a reason. Meanwhile I see people there all the time stumbling drunk playing pool yelling. I have been disrespected there I have never been cut off in any bar I've ever been in in my entire life. I've always lived a life of honor and respect so I don't understand why I'm feeling so terribly and with such disrespect. I even talked to the manager Greg about it earlier in the day today and he told me I was totally fine. It's not often I order food at a dive bar but I'm friends with local regulars that convinced me to. The staff is actually gluten allergy conscious, so that automatically scored points with my party. My table ordered an assortment of chicken wings, tots, pizza, and appetizers. The smoked wings were delicious and tender. The Korean sauce added a flavorful kick. Impressive tots as well. Big and crispy. During the pandemic they have suspended smoking indoors. Tables are at a safe distance. Masks are required upon entering. I was told the paper plates were temporary as well. This grill and bar saved the day or rather night. We were in Tampa and a wave of hunger hit me a little after 10p when most places were closed. I did a quick yelp search and voila! My fiance only had a tank top on which is not allowed, but the owner was gracious enough to give him a pretty nice tshirt. Next, I ordered a chicken philly with a side of fries. While waiting we played a game of pool and enjoyed a long island tea. The sandwich itself was rather big. I only managed to eat half of it wirh some of the fries. The place is a little hole in the wall. It's a dive bar that still allows smoking inside. For most people that in itself is a deal breaker. The food does speak for itself though. I've tried a lot of their food and I have never been disappointed. The pizzas are delicious, the burgers are delicious, and I really love the wings. During lunch time between 11 and 4 they have some really good lunch specials. You can have a beer and chicken wings for around ten dollars. There's definitely an older crowd there. I'm 33 and I was the youngest by far. If you can get past those things it's definitely worth trying. read more

I am at fault here! Background, I cooked in a bar, and I understand that bringing food in from an outside source is not looked on fondly. I also know there are several ways to deal with it. Personally I know my food rocks and everyone likes it. I also know that sometimes, bar food is not what a stomach may want. I would not call myself a regular, but I have always eaten from the menu when I was here. Tonight, my to go order at the this place next door got a bit mixed up. I ended up with one appetizer too many so I brought it in as I was going to finish a beer before I left. The rest of the food I put in my car. I was told I was insulting the bar for bringing that in, I was told I could leave, I was told I could never come back as well. I offered to buy 5 hamburgers, I also offered to tip he and the staff, but was rejected and told the subject was closed. FAIR. My answer is this. I left your cook with a $20 tip, I left the bartenders a $40 tip on top of the normal tip, and I will never return to your establishment. Being told I am not wanted there is fair. So I am taking you up on it. I'm sure you have enough business to cover one person not returning. Thank you for all of the food and drinks up till tonight. read more

Been seeing this place since I moved to this neighborhood. My friend and I decided to meet up after work to discuss some issues! The prizes for the drinks was not bad at all and the appetizers was amazing! I ordered the wings and fried pickles. The wings were great and the fried pickles is the best I tried so far! Our server Amanda was awesome. She made sure that we feel welcome and made sure that we get our orders on time! The name itself carries the bar! Longbar it's really a long bar! Longbar pub and grill , is in fact a very long bar, something like 33 seats. This place is always open until 2-3 am and offers a wide variety of food and drink options. If you were to sit at one of the 33 bar seats your would be greeted by one of the many bartenders all of which go the extra mile to ensure your comfort and safety as your enjoy you beverages. No telling what happens if you sit at the tables. The food is good and can be enjoyed with silver ware to make sure your hands stay nice and clean. The ambiance is nice as it seems like a very local bar everyone knows everyone or they don't know anyone. The beer is served cold and the food is served hot. I recommend the pizza, wings or if your really feeling adventurous I'd try to pretzel sticks. Either way no matter what you choose it might be good or it might be bad. The one recommendation Mr. Timberwolf has is the fries. Very Krinkle cut. read more

I have been coming to Long Bar for quite some time now. I usually meet friends and family there. I never had any issues and the service has always been good. Today (2/24/22) I came in and sat at a table because the bar area was pretty full. I ordered a drink and the barmaid/waitress Daisy whom I like very much and always gives me great service bought me my drink and gave me a menu and told me she would be back to take my food order. About five mins later, the other barmaid/waitress came in and got right to work. She was very attentive to everyone sitting at the tables in my area except me. She walked right passed me, saw a menu on my table and never came over to say hello or ask me if I was good or needed anything. Even when my glass was empty, she didn't even ask me if i wanted another drink. I always order a few drinks, food and tip generously at this establishment. I usually get good service but, not today. Finally after 45 mins or so! Daisy finally made eye contact with me and asked if I was good. I told her no and to please just give me the check for my one drink. She did apologize and stated that she thought the other person had taken care of me. I told her that she didn't even come to my table and ask if I was good or needed anything. I then just handed Daisy a $10 dollar bill and paid for my drink. Again she apologized but, still accepted my payment for the drink. That should have been on the house and she should have offered to take my order and make sure I got it in a timely manner. I def did not get good customer service tonight. I don't want or expect any freebees but, when the ball is dropped, make it right. I don't think I will be back there any time soon but, if I do! As a fan of dive bars this place didn't fall short of expectations! If you don't mind indoor smoking this is a fantastic place to watch sports! They've got a lot of TV's and I mean a lot. On the day I went there was a baseball game, the World Cup and a Nascar type race on the TV's. We came here because my boyfriend gave me the choice of another restaurant or pizza. Pizza is my favorite food. So when I've got a choice of pizza or something else pizza always wins. We got the veggie with pepperoni because that's my favorite. The pizza didn't disappoint. They may or may not be in the running as one of my top 10 pizza places. We also ordered were some drinks as well. The staff and the regulars awesome and be honest they are what makes dive bar worth going to. read more

Walk in and you're belly-up to the bar. Move to the left, more bar. Move to the right, even more bar. Look around the corner? More fucking BAR! This truly is a long-ass bar. Divey, smoky and an eclectic crowd for sure, from young adults who were still wet behind the ears to q-tips. I like me some dive bars, so why only two stars? Because the beer selection was weak (2 or 3 craft beers) and they couldn't even whip up an old fashioned for me. No bitters and no oranges? Crazy talk. What else? Our bartender looked as if she should be retired, sitting in a rocking chair somewhere with some needles and yarn. She wasn't very friendly either. The epitome of a dive bar if I've ever seen one, but I like dive bars so I can't complain one bit. Cheap drinks, HUGE shots, decent (and not annoying) crowd, and very friendly and quick bar staff. I was here on a Saturday night around midnight, the place was packed, yet I did not have one single problem getting drinks. If you're not a smoker, don't bother, because it is definitely smokey, but they ventilate the bar as well as they can. They have pool tables, a dart board and, from what I've heard, pretty amazing food. I've been told the pizza is some of the best around, so I will definitely be back to try it and will leave an update. But this is a fun place to definitely check out. read more

We stumbled (not literally) into the Longbar Pub when seeking a place to watch the Super Bowl. Little did we know that we would discover a great sports bar with countless TV's and awesome sound system for viewing pleasure, uber friendly pub environs and outstanding bar food all wrapped up in a neat Longbar package. Within minutes of entering, the owners introduced themselves and we immediately felt like locals. These folks understand homegrown hospitality and work hard to make it happen. A product of their Iowa roots coupled with southern charm. Try the beef tips and mushrooms. A side note, coming from a non-smoking (bar or restaurant) state we were a bit surprised at the number of smokers on premise. That said, the ventilation was good and smoke only slightly an issue.. Everyone was friendly and there for a good time....even the Broncos fans. A great place to watch the big game. read more

So, we read some of the reviews and decided to check this place out. It truly is a local place. Normally we like places like this but this one was a different story. The staff was not at all friendly. Now, we're used to a bit of a chill when walking into a local place we've never been to before but this was more than a chill. This place is big; so, it's not like it was a tiny place filled with regulars. They have to serve lots of non-regulars but apparently they don't like to. I asked what kind of vodka she had and she gave me a serious evil eye. The bar isn't backlit so you can see there's a variety of vodka but you can't see what they are. She acted like it killed her to read off the vodka list. If it's such a hassle print up a list of alcohol available and pass it out. Or better yet ask what kind of vodka I like and make a recommendation. Don't treat me like I'm bothering you. They seemed not to like waiting on anyone not a regular. The non-regulars we're easy to spot because service was crappy otherwise. The crowd is a true mix, which we like. It's nice to meet a variety of people. Lots of TV's for lots of sports. Overall, if you're not a regular they don't ant to serve you so don't bother. read more

I've been going to Longbar for over 3 years. I love the atmosphere and the PIZZA is like none in the area. The staff is very attentive and they are all very approachable. Best sports bar in town, the owners and staff are very friendly, and the food is amazing.

This may be listed as a "dive" bar, but the place is fun. Great moments with friends old and not yet met! The owners are involved with the customers, not stuffy. They meet and shake hands and welcome everyone to their place. They are also responsible for the people they serve, I've seen that first hand. They would call you a cab rather than say see ya. If you have a chance, I would recommend every thing on the menu. Food is great too. You need to come in and see for yourself! read more
