The restaurant is located on the Marriott Timeshare at Ko Olina. The location on the beach is spectacular, the food is so-so. I've been coming to Ko Olina since the timeshare first opened, so I'm familiar with the cuisine. It's not bad, it's expensive as you'd expect, service is better than average. Essentially you're eating a $15.00 Hamburger served in a basked with fries. However, back to the location - it's beautiful. Three stars is all I can give, but I usually eat there the first day (check-in) between the time that I check in and the time that the room is ready. We stay at the the Marriott Ko'olina beach club often and love Longboards. There is nothing better than a frozen Maitai accompanied by garlic fries for happy hour served by cheerful servers surrounded by a beautiful lagoon. The dinner options are great and the creative chefs have added their unique island touches to add to you experience.... waygu burger, the locmoco, and chicken wings 3 ways. The salads are crisp, fresh and ge nb erous. And please enjoy their catch of the day specials, prime rib, and steaks... delicious. The only thing missing is the live music, but hopefully that will return! read more

It has become clear this place doesn't want any customers from the local area. Our group have always done after work happy hours or get togethers at Longboards. But now the greed has set in and they no longer will validate parking for locals eating. There is complex rules regarding how they will validate. Do not think validate means free. If you wanted to eat a meal at this place add at least $20 to the already over priced menu items. It was so simple before, spend over an amount at Longboards and get your park validated. Now pay pay pay. So after our group collectively paid over $120 in parking fees we will find some place else. read more

When you stay at a resort you are held hostage a bit for food choices unless you have a car. Thankfully we have a car because we absolutely will not eat here again. The food is less than mediocre. We had a Cobb salad and were trying to find any ingredients besides the lettuce. The nachos used the canned ballpark nacho sauce and stale chips. The wings were ok. The view is awesome. The bar area can be loud when there is a game on. Don't come for the food. We have just spent the last 8 days in Kauai and had wonderful food at the Marriott there although we did get off property a lot and ate local. That is not a choice here ... we will get off property. read more

Worst service ever. I'm sure they are using COVID-19 as an excuse but quite frankly there should be NO excuse for having one bartender responsible for taking care of both pool and restaurant servers as well as the food and drink line in which patrons must que up to get either a drink or food (take out only) except 4-8pm daily. All the while a second bartender is tasked to replenish bar supplies while patrons patiently wait in line. You could sell a lot more $15 mai tais if you had your bar adequately staffed. I've been coming here since 2009 and am now Chairman's club member with MVC and Bonvoy Titanium for life. Bonvoy/Marriott should be ashamed of the level of service at this place as well as the Marketplace shop. Please investigate allowing guests to order online via an app rather than having to endure such an inefficient system resulting from inadequate staffing. Lets start off with saying the bartenders Oscar and duke are amazing, but other then them this place is a complete let down. The service is REALLY bad here. We stay at the beach club Marriott once a year and always come here at least two to three times in the week we are there. The service has never been great, but we tolerate it because the outside view is nice. Today however was awful! The hostess Mari today was the worst! She had the worst attitude and and was bad mouthing guests so loud we could hear her. And she threw a tantrum when we moved tables to get out of the sun because she didn't want to clean the table. I don't know if maybe she was having a bad day or is always this bad but she left us with a bad taste in our mouth that we never want to come back. If I'm spending $100 on a tuna melt and salad I would expect the customer service better. read more

My husband and I have been staying at the Mariott vacation club for 5 years now and service at longboard's has declined. They took calamari off their menu but still have the wings ! We look forward to the wings and lava flows from here each year! There aren't too many eating options on the mariott vacation club so for lunch unless you want to venture out, you've only got longboard's if you want to stay on the resort. The first morning we were there we went to the breakfast buffet. We waited almost 5 minutes to get seated but there was no one there and it was just the buffet so we seated ourselves kind of by the front- the place isn't too big. We grabbed our food and didn't have utensils so we just grabbed spoons by the cereal bar. Time passed and we were almost done eating our breakfast when someone finally came by and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Thus, we got our waters just as we were finishing our breakfast. One of the nights they had live music, Chris and I stopped by and sat at a table with our ice cream- we had just eaten dinner at Chuck's and wanted to check out the music. They asked us to move since they were seating this table for dinner so we moved to a couple chairs in the way back. No one came by and asked us a damn thing!!! No one asked if they can get us anything- no water or drinks and if they had asked I would have gotten a glass of wine or something but they didn't bother. The only one who noticed us and gave us a shout out was the musician- we were on our honeymoon and talked to him. The last full day we were there we just spent at the resort and ate lunch at Longboard's. The service was extremely slow and it didn't seem too busy. We waited a good 10 mins before our order was taken and by the time my lava flow got to me, it was all melty. =( That was the last time we ate there and instead of getting a tip, our server got a sad face from us. I really really hope the next time we come to the mariott vacation club next year, Longboard's will have improved instead of declined. The mariott is such a nice resort, having longboard's at the standards it's at right now is just not good enough. I can't imagine what the service is like poolside!!! read more

We had great service and great food while visiting Longboards on 4 different visits. The hostess was friendly and engaging; the waitstaff was attentive and competent. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and happy hour. The bacon burger was delicious - handmade patty. The pineapple boat was full of great fruit and plenty of it. The fish and chips - hand dipped - were fresh, not greasy and plenty of "chips"! I would eat here again for sure! read more

I've been coming here for years, when i go to the beach, but more importantly when i have guest visiting Hawaii as it is a great place to show the sunset and then enjoy dinner and drinks.However this time it was different . Wife's friend was in town so we decided what better view to show her , the sunset and have a nice dinner after. i was standing waiting to be served, everyone seemed busy so i patiently waited. Then this guy in a different shirt came up to the booth, looked at the list, took a bit, finally. "have you been helped" ... ummm nope. told him it was a table for 3 , he said would take 15-20min. no problem, sun still setting , wife and friend still taking photo's. 10min later the beeper thing lit up, went up to the booth, and had to wait while the hostess was cleaning tables . Finally was to be seated, i saw her grab only 2 menu's, as she saw there was 3 of us, she immediately grabbed a chair and put it at our tiny table.. her comment was "oh i thought there was only 2" , she said it with such attitude, damn if don't want to work in an environment of serving people then leave !!!! she was not smiling or greeting any of the guess. so we sat , tried to make the best of it. no one came to greet us , so as the hostess walked by us, we asked if we can move to a bigger table as it seemed cramped, there was the table she set for 4 people. she replied, I'm sitting people there . sorry. OK, so as time goes buy, i see the hostess split the table and sit 2 different couples there????? so by now , no one greeted us yet, been 8min, we asked the server passing by, "can we move there as the guess of 4 just left", and we explained that we were to be seated for 3 not 2 . she said it's up to the hostess and so i asked , can you go ask? she came back with , it's going to be seated by incoming guess... i watched as no one was coming, and no one was cleaning the table, so we asked another server, she explained the same thing, pretty much it was up to the hostess, i told her can she go ask. By this time still no one came to greet us, or take a drink order, she came back with " we would have to put you back on the wait list for 3 " i was like HELL NO. it is not our fault we told the guy upfront 3 , wrote down 3, and the hostess interpreted it as 2 ???? i told her get me the manager. she said oh you want to speak to Riley? YES!!! . still had to wait???? i was embarrassed as i told my wife's friend this was the best place for pupu and drinks. we just stood up and left. As we were leaving i saw the guy that helped me upfront earlier, i went to him and asked him if he remembers greeting me earlier and writing down for 3, at first he said no, i then looked at his name badge, Riley. so then i asked him, are you the manager? as he was still rolling silverware in napkins. he said yes. i asked him again if he remembers me and he said yes and that it was for 3 right? he said yes, so i explained what happened and even asked him if anyone came to get him as i asked for the manager, he said no and that i have a table for 3 now, by this time i was fed up and embarrassed so we left. he did not apologize or anything. it's sad as it was my go to place. But no more. the staff needs customer service training, waiting for more than 8 min and not get greeted and or take a drink order is ridiculous.. read more

The breakfast buffet is only so- so. The $16 burger is half a pound but has no flavor. The fish tacos are served in flour tortillas and were way too fishy. They said it was mahi mahi but it wasn't like any mahi mahi I've ever had. The resort prices do not match resort quality food. It's too bad because the servers are all very friendly and efficient. This place is ridiculously mediocre for the price and location. I've been here several times, only because my parents insist because of the 'atmosphere'. The food is around $15-$25 for dinner. Everything is always under seasoned and Luke warm. Servers are generally friendly and helpful but it takes forever to get your food. And don't get me started on the drinks.... we had 3 different drinks and all 3 were awful! Couldn't even drink the mai tai's. They do have live music and they are on the beach what makes this place nice... but monkey pod across the street has live music and much better food!! I would rather go there :-/. read more

I'm an owner at Ko'Olina and live in California also. The view attracts me to this place. Went twice last week but NEVER again. 1) vegans beware! The vegetarian /vegan dish of tofu, veggies and rice can make you sick; not only is it doused in oil , but it tastes like oil from their pulled pork dish! Disgusting. 2) the prices are outrageous! 3) the musicians, who are actually great, take a "10 minute break" that actually last the entire time you are eating, or 40 minutes!! Will spend more time across the street where the view is not the ocean, but the food is higher quality and half the price or less!! By the way, your expensive drinks are served in plastic flimsy cups!! read more

After a dip and doze on Lagoon 3, we headed over to Kolohe's since the subtle smell of food grilling was calling our name. On second thought the smell may have come from Kolohe's or it could've come from the actual grills next to Kolohe's that I think are reserved for the time share owners, but either way, location location location, right? The tuna melt came with fries or potato chips and a salad with probably papaya and some other local fruit dressing. Everything was very good. Fries were crispy. The potato chips are a bag of those Hawaiian brand chips. The grilled fish tacos came with a pineapple salsa and tasted fresh and juicy and on the sweet side because of the fruit. The calamari came with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce as well as a side of spicy tomato sauce, and while it was nice and crispy the meat inside seemed a little underdone. Pork quesadillas were very good. Cocktails were on the sweet and low on liquor side, so in other words it was very drinkable and might as well have been juice. We had a very good view of the lagoon from our table, the customer service was extremely friendly, and there were tourists sitting by us who still talked business during their vacation and were more or less loudly congratulating each other on their success in life. Boyfriend and I had their fish tacos on a very windy Saturday night. First of all, they came with FRIES. Think on that for a second. On top of that, the fries were pretty mushy and just not too good overall. The fish tacos had an overwhelming amount of mango salsa that tastes like Costco mango salsa and came with pre-shredded cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce and the Mahi Mahi strips (overcooked).
