Absolutely love this place!! We stayed here on vacation so we ate here quite often. Everything on the menu was so delicious!! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the steel cut oatmeal, fruit and other items were all fantastic. For lunch the best menu items we tried were the wagu burger was which by far the best burger we have ever had and the chicken sandwhich which was soooo good as well. Frozen mai tais were so amazing and had a good amount of alcohol in them! Pina Colidas were also delicious too. For dinner one night we shared the cobb salad and pulled pork sandwhich which was also wonderful. Highly recommend this place! Best food, cocktails, service and of course amazing views!! read more

I've always loved Kolohe's...from the first time I went there years ago. They are situated right on Lagoon 3 in Ko Olina and offer only outdoor dining. Plus, the service is friendly and the food is good. Need I say more? I went there on a Saturday night recently with just my wife, left the kids with a sitter and it was so nice. There was some live music by a lone local guy playing his acoustic guitar on the sound system and taking requests from the patrons. We were oblivious to the various kids that other parents were wrestling at tables around us (we learn to tune out kids since we have three under 8) and we just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed our delicious meals. My wife ordered a dinner special with some kind of white fish...don't remember the name. It was excellent. I had the mahi mahi fish sandwich with fries. The service was great, as usual and we pretty much cleaned our plates so that tells you how the food was. They are a little pricey from a mainland perspective, but given the quality of food, caliber of service and their location, the price is just right. If you visit Ko Olina, you need to eat there at least once, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. read more

Love the Beachfront seating, good food (Had the pulled pork with Hawaiian sweet buns and Tuna melt) If you had to chose 1 sandwich between the two, do the pulled pork. Sandwich comes with fries or chips or fruits for add'l $3 (totally not worth it). For some reason, I enjoyed their ice tea very much- packed filled with flavor. It wasn't your usual lipton ice tea. --General Considering it's located in a resort area, as one of under 10 places to eat within walking distance, I'd recommend it solely for ease of access and for the great view. It's located right along the shore and has a great view at all times of the day! It's also slightly pricier than usual, but that's to be expected as it's in the resort area. I did, however, notice that the portions were more filling for me and had a ton of leftovers. --Food I had expected the food to be pretty bad, but that's not the case. It is decently solid food, but pretty mediocre. I suppose the biggest downside is that there's nothing SPECIAL about it, or it has no "wow" quality. It's just typical restaurant food with a slight emphasis in the seafood of the area That being said, I stayed at the Ko Olina resort and the location of this restaurant is pretty darn convenient. When my family visits and we stay at the vacation club, We always enjoy breakfast here! What makes it the best is the beautiful view of the lagoon! We always enjoy the buffet and enjoy everything from the cereals, hot items, fresh fruit (especially the papaya)and fresh juice. We were really impressed and enjoyed the omelette station at this visit. This was the first time we enjoyed the omelette station as it was not offered the last time we were there in March. I love fish and chips but it's always a gamble here. Half the time it's great and half the time it's flavorless and a greasy mess. The bbq sandwich was good and so was the bbq nachos. The food was good albeit a little overpriced, even for Marriott standards. I paid close to $4 for a glass of juice. The service needed one more person on staff. This is a restaurant inside the Marriott Ko Olina Resort. After hiking Diamond Head and snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, we ate here because we were starving and we didn't feel like driving anywhere else. In hindsight, we should have ate in Honolulu but we had a friend who stayed behind at the hotel and came back for her. It took them a while to seat us and it took forever for our waitress to come take our order. But once she came, Dez was super cool. The food was ok. I had a Kaula pork sandwich. I think the sandwich was like $18. Pretty expensive but when you don't have a choice, you just kind of deal with it. We ordered a ton of Frozen Mai Tais per suggestion of Dez because she said it had the most alcohol. They're $12 but we were so late into our lunch that it went into Happy Hour at 2 pm. They're $9 on Happy Hour. Overrall, if you don't have another choice or short on time, eat here. read more

I gave them three stars because this was my second time here as I recently moved to Oahu last year. I took my visiting friend here, because this is one of the first places I went to after moving here and it is right next to the beach; I thought it would be a great place to take her to start our morning off. The hostess was a little rude. There were about three open tables closest to the beach edge, and since no one was waiting at the host desk to be seated, my friend asked to sit there. The hostess replied with "well, we're serving breakfast." ::insert blank stare:: I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that many people probably just try to sit there without ordering, but I highly doubt it considering there are free beach chairs less than 100 feet away to use. My friend said, "well, I'm ordering a drink." And the hostess reluctantly let her sit there. The hostess never brought us menus, and snickered to the waitress "she's getting a Bloody Mary." Our waitress was friendly, which offset the rude hostess; BUT, I had to ASK the waitress for a menu. Overall, I decided not to order food and spend my money across the way at Monkeypod, but the last time I had food, it was delicious and overpriced. It's convenient for a beach side drink, but you roll the dice of ha in ha rude hostess if you decide to go here. Probably won't bring my family and friends here going forward. read more

I wouldn't mind paying that much for a full size glass drink, but they need to drop the prices if they are going to serve drinks in tiny little plastic cups. Marriott should be disgraced that they allow staff and a restaurant like this in their resort. Subpar service doesn't begin to cover it. One day I ordered a pina colada and by the time it arrived it was melted. I made a comment and the waitress said "heh yeah". During breakfast one morning I found a hair in my omelette. I let the person working the buffet know so I could get a new one and rather than saying a simple sorry, she responds with "it's probably not mine." Not to mention that every time we sat down here one of the servers messed up an order or ignored us. Giving an extra star because the view is great and the tacoshimi was delicious. I want to preface this by saying that I generally avoid writing negative reviews and try to only focus on the positive interactions I have throughout the day. Yesterday around 11:30am a friend and I stopped on our walk in Koolina to grab a bite at Longboards. I (extremely embarrassed and equally humble ) asked if I could order a grilled cheese sandwich, which of course is on the kids menu. I was very willing to pay the price for an adult entree. The super sweet server was extremely understanding and happily obliged my weird request. 5 minutes later a gentleman server tossed a plate onto the table and said loudly "Ten years old, huh?" as he walked away. It was quite embarrassing as I wasn't trying to bend any rules or get anyone in trouble. Our server was obviously chastised as she avoided all eye contact with me or any conversation what so ever after that. I feel terrible for her as I never meant to get her in trouble. I am however appalled at the absurd attitude of the gentleman who brought our food. I am a local resident and make a point of respecting other local resident employees who are just trying to earn a paycheck. However I will never spend our hard earned money at Longboards in the future. read more

Gorgeous views of the beach at steep hotel prices. Came here for a big family dinner because we had guests visiting from out of town. When we arrived it was a 40-minute wait, but as we waited we noticed there were multiple tables open but they just decided not to seat us. Maybe they didn't have enough servers? Either way, it was really weird. We ordered an array of family style appetizers (quesadillas, chicken wings, french fries, poke, onion rings) and individual entrees to share. My husband and I decided to split the Wagyu burger because I knew it would be gigantic and I can only eat so much red meat. The burger was really juicy and the portions are huge, so splitting was definitely the way to go. The best part of eating at Longboards though is the view of the beach as you enjoy your meal with the people you love. Overall service was decent during our meal, although there were times when we wanted to order more drinks or ask for condiments and no one could be found. The kicker that brought the review down to two stars was that we paid over $300 for our meal before tip (around $50 a person) and the servers stopped our party as we left and told us we didn't tip them. It caused all of this frustration and awkwardness because we had left them a really generous 20% tip, but they hadn't read the credit card slips correctly or counted the cash and basically didn't do the math. Very tacky on so many levels and completely unacceptable as you've now ruined the customer's experience. I understand the need to make money to feed your family, but you should really double check your facts before you accuse someone of something they didn't do. We all felt it ruined our experience and I'm not excited to return in the future. read more

The setting is gorgeous. What could be wrong with a beachfront restaurant that has nothing but view? The drinks are good and they had the beer that my dad likes, which the other bar by the pool did not. We were starving to death when we got here, it was right after we arrived so I would have eaten anything. I got a sandwich on a focaccia bread with fries. I was surprised when it came with a little salad too and I liked the poppy seed dressing. The sandwich was ok, it's hard to mess up a sandwich, but the bread was good. It's a pretty expensive place to eat. Our lunch there was the same price as a lunch in Waikiki on the beach. The difference being that in Waikiki, it feels upscale and the quality of the food was better (at least where we ate) and here it was burgers and fries for the same price. I wanted to give this place 2.5 stars because it's OK, but I have had better. read more

If you're staying at the MVC Beach Club, then you can't beat the convenience of this location. Also, the view of the ocean is terrific, and the service is good. The menu has lots of choices, there is a nice bar, and plenty of shade to go around. That being said, it's not inexpensive. Dinner for 4 of us, including just 2 beers, and 2 virgin drinks for our grandkids came to over $120. I'm sure we'll be back again. read more

The food here is terrible. We had a hamburger combo which cost $14 and bought a soft drink mug which cost $35 which last 7 days. So the total price for a non tasting hamburger and stale fries and a drink cost $49. Randomly came here on Mother's Day with a friend and surprisingly there was no long wait. Maybe like five minutes at most waiting to get checked in and then we were seated right away in the shaded area. The hostess was really sweet. I completely forgot to take photos of the food because it looked so delicious as soon as it came out and we basically devoured it lol. The pricing is a bit more but I think it's pretty fair considering it's Ko'Olina, because you're basically paying for the location/view. (Located at one of the lagoons) But the portions are actually pretty big. We ordered the sweet potatoes fries, fish & chips and the chicken Caesar wrap. We couldn't completely finish everything but it was sooo good. The sauce for the sweet potatoes fries was amazing. I think our server said it was sun dried tomato with something else. I forgot but I'm craving it now just thinking about it. I wish I remembered our server's name because he was so kind! Will definitely be back! read more

The food was decent. A little over priced for what you get. Very greasy and fast foodish. Paid $20 for two tacos with only cabbage and fish. My waitress was good. Drinks were inconsistent. Ordered 8 drinks between the three of us (same drink) 5 were so weak I couldn't taste any alcohol And 3 were fantastic! Borderline strong. Employees are not on the same page. I was told I'd get parking paid for when I dined there after 5pm and spent over $40. When I got there I was told since I was only two minutes early and that they'd waive my fee for parking still... but when I gave them my $200 receipt they told me it wasn't waived even though another employee said it would be since it was within 5 minutes till 5pm. Not worth going back. To many other restaurants that are beachside for the same price with better quality food and have 1000% better service. (I've never left a bad review before this) read more

We ate here several times during our stay at the Marriott. The food is very good. We only ordered breakfast once cause we ended up going grocery shopping so we didn't have to pay $20+ per person for some breakfast but I will tell you I had the bacon, eggs, potatoes and toast and they don't mess around with the bacon. I was expecting the usual sad 2-3 strips of bacon but they piled it on. LOVE THAT! We mostly came here for lunch or dinner and anything you ordered was always good. Hawaii is expensive no matter where you go so no point in talking about price. Just know if you eat here you really can't go wrong with anything you order. This place has gone downhill. Went here for dinner and literally had to flag down several severs to finally get assisted. The service isn't the only thing to go down the drain... The food is mediocre as well. It tastes extremely bland and almost like it had been freezer burned and then microwaved. I noticed the menu has condensed and healthy options like the seared tuna salad werent on the menu anymore. I didn't come all the way to Hawaii to order a Cesar salad that I could've gotten back in California. So I ordered the kahlua quesadilla and onion rings with a side of tortilla chips. The onion rings tasted as though it had been cooked in rancid oil and the chips tasted stale. The guac tasted as of someone mashed up an avocado and then sprinkled salt on it. Disgusting. UPDATE : I decided to try and give this place a second chance and thought it might have been the dish I tried that wasn't up to par. After all this place is conviently located next to the pool and lagoons. I tried the cheeseburger and garlic fries. Garlic fries we're soaked in a pool of greasy oil at the bottom of the bag and the Burger was drier than the sand in the lagoon, I asked for medium rare! The drinks are watered down and overpriced. If it's not happy hour don't even bother. Disappointed hope this place updates their menu and hires more competent staff. read more

We were staying at the Marriott at Ko Olina and stopped here for dinner on our last night on Oahu. We had no problem finding a table with a great view. Our waitress was very attentive and when we mentioned the drinks being a little water down, she suggested ordering an extra shot of something instead of ordering multiple drinks. It was still pricey, though doing this made me feel I wasn't just drinking a cup of sugary juice. We really loved what we ordered - crabcake with papaya, calamari strips with thai sweet chili sauce, and the curry chicken salad. All three were fabulous. The live music was a nice touch. The only reason I won't give the fifth star is due to pricing. Compared to some of the other restaurants we stopped at around the island, Kolohe's was definitely pricier. read more
