Awful experience. My party, a table of seven, got seated by the hostess at 6:40 pm. The restaurant wasn't too busy and they were heavily staffed, but we sat there until 7:10 with no service, no server even came up to us to check if we got our food yet. We sat there with our menus out trying to make eye contact with the server, but got ignored every time. A table got sat 20 minutes after us and a server immediately went over to the table to serve them. I didn't get the sever's name, but she was a short, young ginger haired girl with a braid. I'm in the area today for work and flying home tonight. I have my associate/ son with me. Ha ha, and if I don't feed him on time he'll cry to his mother. I know my policy for eating when away keeps changing but no matter what I suggest, this boy kept bringing up Texas Longhorn. I look it up on Yelp and see 3 Stars. Is this a mistake? We are seated promptly. That's good for a star. We place out order. I order the Sirloin Steak Tips, which comes with a side. I'll have the rice pilaf. After a long wait a food runner brings out our food. My rice pilaf has become French fries. I explain this to the food runner, who seems annoyed but goes for the rice pilaf. Now we're done and need to get going. We wait, and wait, and wait. About 15 minutes before our waitress shows up with the bill. Now I'm annoyed, and I understand why this restaurant has a grand total of 3 Stars. My scoring: 1 Star for prompt seating, 1.5 Stars for the Sirloin Steak Tips. That's 2.5. Went there 2 nights ago extremely bad experience my first and only visit it will be. Although my meal was comped by the manager it just can t remove thoughts of it from my head .I was impressed when I walked in and saw a platter of ribs and another platter with a huge serving of French fries on a gentleman s plate but that turned out to be a huge mistake .I ordered the steak because that s what most people go to a steakhouse for. I ordered a n y strip cooked medium a baked potato and a salad seems simple enough right especially since it calls itself a steakhouse . Well the steak was well done and the baked potato was hard inside and not cooked all the way. So they tried again next steak arrives appears perfect one half of it was but getting to the other side it was completely rare and again the potato was not cooked and hard then I asked about the salad and then the poor apologized telling me there would be no salad because kitchen staff threw out the lettuce for the evening although I ordered it earlier. So as you can see not exactly an experience you forget at a restaurant. I had a bad experience at another Longhorn years ago and refused to return. We decided to try this one last weekend. We were seated right away and our server was over very quickly. The food was amazing. I had steak tips and the portion was large. It served me two meals. We came back this weekend and I had the grilled chicken strawberry salad. The salad was good. My only complaint was too much dressing which is comical because anywhere else there wouldn't have been enough dressing. The waitress, Melissa, was absolutely amazing! She made the children feel like they mattered. She even brought a small bowl of fruit for the 1 year old! She was happy to see everyone in her station. Longhorn is pretty much hit or miss for us. We come here fairly regularly. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's so so and sometimes it's just terrible. The setting is nice and the lighting is ok but the portions are extremely small. The 8oz steak is the size of a baby's fist and my meat wasn't cooked properly. The waitresses are all over the place and this place is hella expensive for such tiny portions. The bathrooms smelled and don't seem to be kept in order and the wait was ridiculous for the food we got which was small and overpriced. Would not recommend. You don't blame the customer for your mistakes. Every restaurant I have ever worked at has separate fryers for shellfish. We ordered fried pickles and got shrimp in our pickles. With my husband allergic to shellfish. When we brought it to the attention of our server, the manager came back and blamed us for their mess up. Absolute insanity. We waited 40 minutes for our food without our waitress checking up on us. 40 minutes without a glass of water or a simple "how are things going?" All the hostesses were gabbing in the front. I got the French onion soup because that is my specialty... IT WAS AWFUL! The bread/ croutons were like gelatin. I felt as if I was eating snot with onions in a chicken broth... CHICKEN there is no way that was sirloin broth. It tasted like those broth cubes you would place in hot water. Very watery and tasteless. The cheese on top was hardly melted and impossible to eat without choking or having to pull out of your mouth. I actually had to remove the cheese because it was solidifying. Used to this chain steak house. I eat there often but my first time in Augusta. I was alone as usual so I sat at the bar for diner. My favorite restaurant to eat and have margaritas. Food is always good and if a mistake happens it is remedied in a jiff. The Napa chicken is fantastic and my favorite. The shrimp app and mushrooms are delicious. Steaks are good too and they have really good mashed potatoes.They have steady bar tenders that will always aim to please. Andrew is my favorite. My husband and I went there last Tuesday and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and specifically asked for it well done with no pink. When I got my burger and cut it in half it was VERY pink. I told the waitress and they apologized and took it back. Meanwhile my husband finished his steak dinner and when my new burger finally arrived by someone in the kitchen there was no bacon on the burger. I ate it while my husband sat waiting since he was all finished eating. I think the waitress should have offered him a free dessert or something for this error. Never saw the manager and left with a bad experience. A restaurant should compensate somehow for an error they made to make the customer feel better and want to return. read more

Being a steak house, you'd expect them to be able to cook a steak, however, they are consistently off temperature by one level. Order 1 lower than you want.
