The place is similar to other Longhorn steakhouses. Clean. I went here by myself when I was traveling for work. The service was very good. I went early (4:45 pm). The reviews said the service isn't great here but I had a good experience. My waitress was very attentive and polite. The steak I ordered (12 oz ribeye) was cut too thin and charred on the outside. Made for an unpleasant taste. It was cooked medium rare, which is what I ordered, but I would have preferred a thicker cut of steak. It reminded me of a non-steakhouse steak. Title: A Policy That Puts Elderly Customers at Risk If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My experience at the LongHorn Steakhouse at Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga was absolutely unacceptable. I arrived with my 92-year-old mother, who is elderly and unable to stand for extended periods of time. I had her arm in mine as we approached the hostess stand and asked for a table for three. The restaurant was practically empty. It was Wednesday evening, and there was virtually nobody in the dining room. Yet I was told that I had to wait until my entire party arrived before we could be seated. I explained that my 92-year-old mother could not stand there waiting, that my husband was immediately behind us, and that I already knew exactly what he would be ordering. I offered to order all three meals myself. I wasn't asking for special treatment--I was asking for a chair for an elderly woman who physically could not stand for long periods of time. The response? "That's our policy." So I asked for the manager. The manager came over and, rather than using even a tiny bit of common sense or compassion, repeated the exact same thing: "That's our policy." Apparently, at this LongHorn, a corporate policy takes precedence over basic human decency. Let's be clear: I understand having policies. I understand not seating incomplete parties when you're busy, when you're trying to manage tables, or when there is a long wait. But when your dining room is essentially EMPTY and you have a 92-year-old woman standing in front of you who cannot safely remain standing, refusing to seat her because one member of the party is a few steps behind you isn't good customer service. It's reckless. What happens when that elderly customer becomes dizzy? What happens when they lose their balance and fall? What happens when someone with mobility limitations simply cannot physically remain standing while management proudly points to a policy? Is the answer going to be, "I'm sorry, but that's our policy" after someone gets hurt? Common sense should be part of every restaurant's training manual. Instead, I was made to feel as though my elderly mother was an inconvenience because the restaurant couldn't make a reasonable exception to a rigid policy in an EMPTY DINING ROOM. And here's the part that really gets me: this wasn't a packed Saturday night with people waiting for tables. You could practically swing a cat in that restaurant without hitting another customer. So congratulations, LongHorn. You managed to make a 92-year-old woman stand at the entrance while employees hid behind a policy that made absolutely no sense under the circumstances. Management needs to understand something very simple: Policies are supposed to serve customers--not put customers in unnecessary situations where they could be injured. I sincerely hope corporate LongHorn takes a serious look at how this location handles elderly and mobility-limited customers. Because if this is truly the policy, the policy needs to change. And if employees and managers are given discretion but simply choose not to use it, then the training needs to change. As for me, I will not be returning to the Walden Galleria LongHorn Steakhouse. There are plenty of restaurants that understand the difference between following a rule and using common sense. I am not really a fan of chain restaurants - but craving a steak the other night , we ended up at Longhorn after only a 20 minute wait . I ordered an 8oz steak with loaded baked potato and Brussel sprouts- my man ordered a steak and shrimp combo with a salad and fries . The portions were generous - I would have been happy with a 6oz steak after seeing the side dishes . Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the shrimp in his platter was chefs kiss , some of the best shrimp I have tasted in a while . Even the service was professional and fast . We decided on the Texas Margaritas, my dad had the filet, Mac & Cheese and a Caesar salad while I had the sirloin, loaded baked potato and a house salad. The margaritas were okay, nothing spectacular and the steaks were on the wrong plates when we received them. After a little switch, the steaks were cooked as requested and tender. The macaroni and cheese wasn't really that delicious and my dad said he wouldn't order it ever again as it wasn't cheesy-I tasted it and I absolutely agreed with his assessment. I don't eat red meat, but I still go to Longhorn for the appetizers! The wild west shrimp comes breaded and with peppers. It has a good flavor profile, but I wish the shrimp were fried a little crispier. The spinach dip is delicious and comes with pita chips. My new favorite are the spicy chicken bites that come with a dipping sauce. The strawberry margarita is always perfect for me! I sat at the bar and waitress was very nice and accommodating. This was a great experience! Being treated to meal here was such a great time. I enjoyed the warm and welcoming ambiance of a southern home. The service was attentive and friendly. Order the Porterhouse steak (called the Longhorn on the menu), add cheese stuffed mushrooms, choose 2 salads for the 2 sides, add on 2 loaded baked potatoes, add 2 bottles of sparkling water and enjoy the free bread and butter. Came at 9pm on a Saturday night and was seated right away as a party of 2. They close around 11pm. I ordered the Flo's Filet 6oz with a Idaho baked baked potato side and Caesar salad. My husband got the Outlaw Ribeye with upgraded sides of honey butter Brussel sprouts and strawberry feta pecan salad. The salads came out quickly and the strawberry one was huge! There were lots of toppings. Overall both salads were a little more drenched in dressing than we prefer so next time we would definitely ask for light dressing or on the side if possible. The steaks were done perfectly to our requests. I think I do prefer the ribeye over the filet. I enjoyed the different textures in the cut and the strip of fat haha. The baked potato was done well but the highlight was the Brussel sprouts!! Wished they were endless! Cooked and seasoned very well. Boy oh boy was this one of the weirdest and worst dining experiences of my life. Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Longhorn in general. This was my first time here and also my last. Our waitress was very weird, it seemed like it literally pained her to talk and serve. Maybe it was an off day, or maybe it wasn't. Either way she seemed too lazy to walk around and hand us our individual items so when she came with drinks she literally flung the coasters across the table, threw the straws at us, and then we had to distribute our waters to each other. Ok, seems weird. Anyway, we end up ordering and 3 out of the 4 steaks that were served were the wrong cut and cooked improperly. We waited for the waitress to come back before eating but it took over 15 minutes for her to check on us again so our food was stone cold even if we were to eat it. My nephews chicken fingers and fries were so salty that if any of us adults had more than one fry it would've sent our bodies into shock. It took a lot of convincing to receive a partial refund. Food was awful. I suggest spending your money elsewhere. read more

Had a fantastic lunch at Longhorn steakhouse this week. Wasn't sure what to expect, the lunch specials sounded good - so that's what we stuck with. We ordered a half pound steak burger combo with shrimp and lobster chowder and the grilled chicken and strawberry lunch salad combo with loaded potato soup. Server was friendly - delivered the mandatory sales pitch for appetizers and desserts...but we didn't have any this time. Restaurant wasn't crowded - a little loud but everyone was in a holiday mood so expected. The bread came to the table and was warm. This is a great place to go for lunch on a weekday. I came here on a Wednesday around noon. The place wasn't busy and the service was great. My sisters and I were seated right away, given menus, and silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin. Our server took our drink order and was back in a flash to take our food order. We were very pleasantly surprised by how affordable the lunch menu was, especially after seeing the portion sizes. My cheeseburger was delicious and served on a brioche bun. The sides are all full sized portions. This was a very quiet and pleasant spot for lunch. read more

Choose the location based on location to our overnight hotel stay nearby. The quick read is service was very slow so don't come if you're in a hurry. The food was ok. We came later in the evening, well after the dinner rush. Not too many tables occupied unless you count the ones with dirty glasses and dishes piled up from earlier diners. We were there for well over an hour and never saw anyone bussing tables, so the messes were still there when we left. Just not a nice backdrop for what is supposed to be a steak house. Mitchell was our server, as well as probably most of the other tables. He was polite and hustling. Offered apologies several times to the wait. Let's start off by saying this was my first time ever going to a longhorn and also the very last . The longhorn on the corner of Walden ave and Duke rd is the most unprofessional establishment I've ever been too. My friend ended up ordering a medium rare steak with mushrooms and onions (remember the mushrooms and onions) with a side of a loaded baked potato at 9 almost 10 pm last night . Since they were busy she told them it would be okay if they pack it up to go if it was easier for them. She gets home and realizes the whole order is incorrect , the steak was well done and her baked potato was not loaded it was just a baked potato wrapped in foil nothing else . Now she could've been rude like a lot of people I know but no she called asking how they can resolve this and she was told she can come back in to get her order the correct way . So that's what we did we brought the food back and got another one . Here's we're it all went wrong they again forgot her mushrooms and onions and she again asked politely if they were able to get her mushrooms and onions on the side if not she was gonna be okay with waiting. They processed to tell her she would have to pay extra even though she already paid prior to coming in . So in order to fix the issue she calmly asked to bring up her receipt to show her it was paid for . The manger rudely stated she was not willing or open to corporate with printing a new receipt to show she already paid less then 24 hrs ago. So my friend she proceeded to ask for a refund then , the manger started she wasn't willing to do that either so she asked what is the options cause all they were missing was the onions and mushrooms . Not only did the manger threaten to call the police cause she didn't wanna look at a receipt she also allowed her workers to disrespect and cuss at us . My friend feeling overwhelmed because she is pregnant and hungry she starts to cry . Her crying seem to make it worse because even more workers decided to chime and and try to ganging up on her . So I proceeded to protect her since she is distraught and in tears . The manger stated she not changing her mind and she not looking up a receipt very rude and unprofessional . I will never in my life recommend longhorn to anyone after this . The mangers Tara Blair and Nico Tripp are very unprofessional and unpredictable and the crew is just as bad . The food was average. Only a 15 minute wait at peak time on a Sunday night. Our waiter Nico was super friendly and attentive! However, the bartender, Jeannette (or Janet), was EXTREMELY rude and loud; literally screaming swear words and reaming a server out for all the restaurant to hear (after making one of our drinks incorrectly). It was so uncomfortable and embarrassing. The entire restaurant was looking over at the bar. I've never seen a staff member act like that before. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Here's my personal opinion about this place, solely based on my personal experience. Food: 1/5. I ordered the 12 oz Rib eye, and my son the NY steak. Both steaks were dry, extremely bland, and tasted old. In addition, it appears that they tried to hide the steak's quality by soaking them with oil. TERRIBLE! Price: 1/5. Definitely not worth it. Service: 5/5. No issue with service. I have tried several steakhouses, from the bargain one, to high-end steaks. And the streaks they served us here are, by far, the worst steaks, at any price point. My grandkids love this place, so we eat here frequently. The food is consistently good, altho the "filet"seems no more tender than the sirloin. We've learned to skip it and save $ by ordering sirloin. The loaded potato soup IS loaded and ver, very good, as are the stuffed mushroom appetizer. Favorite side is the Brussel's sprouts, hands down, but a close second is the sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. Both REALLY flavorful. All that said, the music is ALWAYS too loud to allow conversation at normal volume....it is a restaurant with a bar, not a bar, and the music needs to be turned down for diners. I also have learned to request that our entrees not be served until we've had time to enjoy our appetizers. Several times we had barely begun to enjoy our soup when the entrees appeared. This ranks as one of the worst Longhorns I've eaten at. I eat at them frequently as I'm on the road over 200 days a year. I just needed something quick otherwise I wouldn't of even sat down. The place smells of that old dirty carpet that you see in some restaurants. It looks dirty the doors are filthy, and when I went to the men's room, it was vile. I didn't have good expectations for the food, since if they have no respect for the cleanliness of the eating area I can't imagine they prep the food any better. I was right. The picture shows the brown lettuce, the fatty steak, and the piece of plastic that I've been into when eating the steak. There was so much pepper on it it was gross. I don't have issues with longhorn in general. Just this particular one is disgusting. read more
