With their Chef literally studying his craft in Italy, he brought back some incredible northern Italian dishes that will blow you away. The location is strange and I've never seen any kind of particularly good restaurants in that area. Went on a whim because I was craving tripe. It's a huge facility. They have dinner theater. There's a bar and a huge restaurant in banquet facilities Unfortunately, this was the worst tripe I've ever tried in my life. It was soft like snot- tripe HAS TO HAVE some kind of chew or bite!! I spoke to the waitress and she switched it out for a wonderful plate of manicotti and meatballs /wonderful sauce - homemade taste. She said that the manicotti crept was homemade. The restaurant is casual and there are a lot of locals, this is always a good sign. The food was just as good as I remember it from a few years ago. Stumbled upon this place while heading to Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve. Their outdoor LED sign flashed SMELT. Smelt is almost the same as anchovies [boquerones] which we love in España. The taste of Spanish boquerones IN España is much better too. I ordered their Pasta with Calamari which was okay, but lacked flavor. Even their cheese on the table didn't help, though I shook out a LOT of cheese onto the pasta. There was a good quantity of calamari rings and even some body and legs, but it just lacked good old plain necessary flavor. It came with a soup served in the TINiEST soup bowl I have ever seen inside a restaurant or even any home. See the picture of the soup spoon inside the bowl. Looks like the spoon is almost the same size as the soup bowl bottom, giving you a good idea of the size of the bowl bottom, and how tiny their soup bowl is. It probably holds 8 ounces of liquid, or in this case 8 ounces of Italian Wedding soup which was VERY hot in the middle, as was the pasta, so I think it was microwaved, which I hate, and probably accounts for the warmth of the edges of the soup and pasta, and burning steaming HOT in the center. Foods cooked in pans are hot throughout. Service and ordering was prompt but not a place we'd return to. NO military discount offered even with their very high prices. The waitress made a face when I asked about any military discount. The Italian restaurants in North Beach of San Francisco are much much better and serve tasty food with true FLaVOR, steaming hot, and not microwaved. read more

We had a belated holiday dinner here for our organization's Board of Directors. We had a separate room off the dining room that was filled with Beatles posters and photos. Our waitress, Jennifer, was very efficient and accommodating. The drink list is imaginative and we enjoyed trying several concoctions. The chocolate covered cherry bomb was awesome. More dessert than a cocktail, but no one was complaining! They also have a very impressive list of spirits, Scotch, bourbon, whiskey, etc. The menu is almost exclusively Italian oriented. Our table tried a variety and everyone liked their entrees. Most of us had doggie bags to take home. I had shrimp with banana peppers in a tomato cream sauce that was excellent. Just enough kick from the peppers. Desserts were also very good, and the tiramisu was probably the best I've ever had. The creme brulee was probably under the torch a tad too long. This was our first time here. My husband saw it online and it had good ratings. Upon arrival the hostess asked if we were there to see the show. The show? What show? They have live theatre here !! Alright, so I went here a few weeks ago for a birthday celebration and took zero pictures. In all honestly it's because everything was SO good that I forgot. However! Last night I had their Spaghetti and Meatball Parm delivered and boy did it actually deliver. Perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. The meatballs were amazing. And they sent bread in a separate bag. So, SO good. The in person experience was also a great one! The outside of the restaurant was super unsuspecting, but it's what's on the inside that matters! Our server was fantastic- she was an absolute champ when dealing with our group of 9. Everything came out timely, and was delicious. Me and Gram ordered our Favorite stuffed Artichokes and not only did they arrive in a timely manner they were well worth the price! I got to try this establishment for a board meeting. We were seated in a corner, which was great, so we could conduct business. The waitress was attentive. I ordered the scallops ala Robert and chose the chicken soup as my side. The soup was amazing, and I could order it without noodles. The risotto was amazing. It was creamy and delicious and had such a great flavor to it. It was one of the best risottos I have had out. The scallops were good, however, with one scallop I crunched on something throughout the entire piece and it grossed me out. I don't know if I would order the dish again because of that experience. 2nd time here. We really enjoyed the food once again. It was nice to see the owner sitting in the front of the house greeting people as they came in. The specials looked fabulous. Unusual too. You don't see Guanciale on many menus around WNY. At least not in more traditional southern Italian [cuisine], restaurants. I had my usual; veal parmigiana. It was very good, with a side of spaghetti. A little to heavy on the breading. I also wish they would pan fry the veal a little longer to make it a little crispier. My daughter had the Shrimp Scampi, and loved it. The shrimp were fresh, and not "iodiney", the pasta cooked properly. I started with the stuffed hot peppers. They were very good, but came out in less than 5 minutes after I ordered them. I wish they would drop the apps fresh, right after you order them. The waitress was great, very attentive and personable. As we were leaving, I made sure I thanked the owner, and let him know how much we enjoyed the meal. His reaction was priceless. He was so happy [and surprised] that someone was polite enough [to make sure] to thank him. He is obviously proud of the food that his kitchen turns out. It was nice to see. I hope he was the owner! Came here looking to try out the delicious menu and dinner theater. Well, I realized upon sitting down that they have a small, separate menu for the dinner theater with 7 options... none of which I wanted. However, my experience otherwise was a good one so I'm going to come back for a regular dinner one of these days and update my review! So for the dinner theater, you'll want to call and make a reservation. For my time here, dinner was at 6 and the show starts at 7:30. You can choose from 4 appetizers, if you'd like (we did not have any) and then they had 7 entree options .. comes with soup or salad, and Spumoni ice cream for dessert. My friend had the veal entree and he enjoyed it. He says the sauce is very good. I chose the ribeye. Like I said, I wasn't in the mood for the entree choices so I won't say the food was bad .. I just wanted something on their regular menu lol but I will say I had the clam chowder as my soup and that was very good. The show was good. TL;DR: food was fantastic, service was perfect, restaurant was cleaned and organized and the prices were great for the portion size you get. A hidden gem near so many restaurant chains, I would recommend this to anyone that wants great Italian style food and even better service! To celebrate my girlfriend and I's 3 year anniversary, we both wanted Italian and both landed on this spot for being close by and prices not being unbearably expensive (looking at you downtown Buffalo). We were quickly greeted and sat in the restaurant (made reservations the day before, but they were not busy for a Tuesday). The restaurant had great decor and socially distant compliant with all tables being reasonably apart. We both asked for wine suggestions from our waitress, Samantha, and we decided to go with the Riesling (one of our best decisions of the night) and start with the stuffed banana peppers. Banana peppers came promptly out with Italian bread to dip in the oil, the banana peppers were cooked to perfection. I can see why these are a favorite of everyone around (even said it on the menu). Their dining room is large, plenty of room, and beautiful. I had no idea it was this nice inside. Large parking lot in back. Food was absolutely excellent. Very pleasantly surprised. Our server was so nice, and didn't miss a beat! He said we were his first table in 17 years! I'm assuming he was serving because of restaurant being short staffed. Our luck! Food presentation was fantastic! Taste was beyond excellent, and the timing of the food was perfect. The meatballs were more filler and very little meat, the sauce was so scarce I had to open a can of jarred sauce and add to it. With that said, I could have made it quickly with jarred sauce, frozen meatballs and mozzarella myself for a lot less and with a better taste. My wife and I ordered as a app the stuffed hot peppers and they lived up to the hype. They were 4 well stuffed And plenty hot enough peppers baked to perfection. One of the best eggplant dinners I ever had.
