I lb prime rib w/ mashed

Our go-to when we want a good steak at a decent price. Also, make sure you are in the mood for an upbeat, rocking atmosphere. For a quiet, peaceful, candlelit dinner, consider a different restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is set up so that large crowds can be processed efficiently and waits are kept to a minimum. They have a nice check-in system where you get in line on your phone and by the time you get there, you have already moved up the line! I am partial to the prime rib, and have also enjoyed the sirloin and ribeye steaks. The cooks know their way around a steak and it is always perfectly cooked to order. A very few times, the steak has some gristle and was a bit tough, but most of the time they serve great quality meat. There is not a bad seat in the house, the staff seems to be spread out to cover all areas. We have also sat in the bar, another option if the dining area has a wait and you don't want to wait.

Ok hear me out.... The food is always great the steak is the reason we go here to have dinner. However the sweet tea is just not sweet tea... there is a list of places in town top to bottom and this is one of the lower rated places and I understand why. However the food is fresh, tasteful and I would order under your preference of the cook. It does tend to be closer to done than medium. The servers for the most part are prompt and kind but can be dismissive or don't see you staring at them from across the room because it does get busy. I personally like to go for a great lunch date or family dinner. But parties over 6 don't fit well in booths. We were put in the corner by the bar and practically had elbows in each others plates.

I was extremely impressed with this location. I have had Texas Roadhouse many times and the food has not come out as fresh and flavorful as this location. I really wished I complimented whoever made the salads we were raving about how this has got to be the best salad and lettuce that we've had at any sit down restaurant for some time. The sirloin was tender and cooked to perfection and the sweet potatoes were made perfectly. The server was quick and attentive to our needs and the manager was friendly and invested in making sure we had a great experience. We had a wonderful experience here.

Food is decent, staff was friendly. This is family friendly but not high quality. The rolls are the best part. They are hot and fresh.

One of my top 5 favorite food chains. I absolutely love Texas Roadhouses Portobello Chicken. Always great service and great food! And their rolls are yummy too!

Loved it... First time here and will be back. Service was superb, quick an efficient. Food was hot and plentiful; I especially loved the line dancing by the staff--- They accept cards and sanitize between customers, throug iouhly.. We had steaks of course and they were tender and juicy. I only ordered a side of shrimp and will have to get more the next time; excellent taste.

I ate at this place, and it was an amazing experience! For starters, their rolls are the best rolls made at a restaurant to this date, and the blooming onion is amazing to eat if you dip it in the sauce they give you with it. Now onto the main course, the Steak was a satisfying chewing experience, and the fries are pretty good as they are. With good quality and very nice employees, Texas Roadhouse is not only the best place to get good food, but it is undeniably, one of the BEST restaurants you can find in Cookeville, TN!

Also had fish with side of sweet potato fries. Serviced crispy as requested. Fish was good but not "pub worthy". Have high expectations. Started with giant pretzel. We were excited based off some of the reviews and pictures, but ended up disappointed. I kept trying to find reasons to make the visit better, but everything just fell flat. For starters, the staff wasn't attentive at all. The hostess went to sit us outside as requested, because it looked so relaxing from walking up, upon entering the outside, many people were smoking (cigs, not vape). I'd don't mind if people smoke, but I don't want to eat a meal with it lingering around. We then went back inside and they sat us in the corner by the drink station/kitchen. Throughout the meal, the waitresses gossiped about their lives and their customers while the table next us a waitress was wrapping silverware. Our waitress didn't arrive for like ten minutes and then took forever to bring our drinks back. The vibes were just all off. Like they all wanted to get out of there and not be around each other. It wasn't even late. The food was average, nothing spectacular. We got a burger and the fish and chips. For a traditional pub, fish and chips should be one of the best things on the menu, less than par. The beer cheese soup was a highlight. Very good. We also ordered some type of pear cheeseburger. Different, but not bad. I'd try something else if I were to return. The decor is traditional pub meets modern hipster vibes. Hard to screw up. Although, limited beer options. Only 4 drafts for a pub is kinda weird. The good news is there's a brewery next door. Like I said, I was optimistic and excited. I don't give a lot of bad reviews but this one didn't hit the mark. Considering there are many other options within walking distance, I'd try something else if I were you.

Our server Rachel was quick to greet us, friendly, and helpful. Brick walls, wood block sculptures, and old black and white photos of the town serve as decor, making the place very welcoming. A couple rounds of local beers started us and then we were off in earnest. The fried pickle spears were just as perfect as we remembered. Huge, hot, sour, and delicious, served with dijonaisse dipping sauce. Everything we ordered was delicious and each person at the table thought theirs was best. A smoked ham, cheese, and fig sandwich... cheese quesadillas... pork belly sliders... steak and mushroom wrap... all great. Our only disappointment was the gumbo. It tasted more like a bland bean soup. No seafood flavor and non existent seasonings, but even that wasn't enough to bring this place down. We cannot recommend highly enough!

Our server was great; one of the most friendly I've ever had. Sadly, that's about the only thing good I can say. It took 20-25 minutes for food to come out (and the restaurant was almost empty ??? why so long? ). The taco wrap was just plain pathetic. They need to hire someone who know how to prepare hispanic/Mex food. It was cold, cheese wasn't melted, and no seasonings. Just sad. Fried green tomatoes were greasy with a strange texture. Wife's meal was OK but nothing special. Sorry SS, go back to what was tried and true before you closed.
