Ate here today on 1/9/26. The hostess was good and helped us more than our waitress. The food we ordered did not come out correctly. The waitress said she would go and fix it and then came back to tell us they were out of it. People sat down next to us a minutes later, ordered the same thing and got the correct food. Decided to stop by here while waiting for my flight, and this is one of my favorite places inside of DTW. It's not the best food in Detroit, but it's definitely top 3 in the airport for a good meal. The service was great, they were very busy and still checked in on me a few times and food came out quickly. The Texas Tonion was amazing until I ran out of sauce and it was a little bit on the saltier side with a tad bit too much seasoning, but still good. The caesar salad was great, fresh and kept a nice balance in the meal. I also had a filet mignon with some fries and the cook on the steak was near perfect to what I ordered. Went here on my lunch break and unfortunately sad that I did. If you have a limited amount of time avoid this restaurant. I came in a 10:45am it wasn't super busy a few people at the bar 3 servers one bartender. The host advise me to wait at the bar to order so I did. I wasn't greeted by a server until 11:00 am at which time I was told my soup would be awhile because the kitchen was behind. I waited bc the other restaurant nearby didn't have soup and I was under the weather. I got my soup at 11:16 with only about 3 mins to try and eat it. We were put on a 30-minute wait list for the nearly empty restaurant because it allegedly had only one server. They take your name and do not contact you via phone, so you must wait near the hostess area. Note: if you have a drink at the bar, they will seat you before the people on the waiting list. The premeal cocktails were fine. The appetizer was the wild west shrimp that was only warm with soggy shrimp. The salad was good, but my fillet was underwhelming and not medium. My son's ribeye was overcooked and not medium rare. Both entre presentations were unrelieved. Our empty plates and glasses were not removed from the table and stacked around us. Being in the airport you expect the restaurant to be noisy and a bit hectic which is fine. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The food did not disappoint and was tasty and satisfying. The service was less than stellar. The hostess was ok but my server, Susan H needs some customer service training. She had no positivity when she came to the table and , took my order. When the salad arrived she just slid it in front of me and was gone. When my onion soup was served she placed it at the empty place across the table not in front of me. She did fill my water glass but overall I felt as if I was a bother to her instead of her customer. When I finished my soup she just scooped the bowl off the table and laid down the check, never asked if I wanted anything else. Poor service.I really didn't want to give her a tip but I have been a server for a lot of my career and couldn't do that. Decided to eat at this location whilst waiting for our flight! The service was quick and the staff was friendly which was helpful as we were on a time crunch to catch our flight. We had a view of the runway which was nice as well. We had ordered the salmon and the sirloin and the food was okay. Pretty good for airport food. It wasn't much different from fast food places, depending on what you get. You could have a decent burger meal for under $20, which seems to be the going rate at even fast food joints in this stretch. Service by the bus girl was slow though she was nice... but then the rest of service was better. Samm was stellar. Pork chops with broccoli was great. Meat could have been a bit more tender, especially since they don't have steak knives. But seasoning was very well done and person was huge! There were three good sized pieces, and I was full with just one. Burger was on the saltier side, but solid. Fresh ingredients. Had the worst service on the planet at this location in Detroit airport yesterday. The hostess was super rude. I guess greeting someone properly is too hard of a task and she was on her phone the entire time texting. And an older caucasian waitress didn't go to any table serving POC. I waited for her to greet me and she never came over even after 10 minutes passed. Another man was sat and she immediately went over to him. I went to the bar area and he (bartender) was great. I tipped extra. I later saw two other tables (one POC) get up and leave. She was also insanely rude to an Asian family sitting down. They were taking so long that I requested to have her put it in a To Go box so that I could try to eat some of it before I boarded it my flight. Convenient location for breakfast when I get off my flight from Baltimore BWI and waited for the connection to Honolulu. The menu has just changed according to the server, so one of the items I had thought I would be ordering was not available. I went for the steak and eggs, took a while to come out of the kitchen so you might want to check on how much time you have before ordering to eat in the dining area, which was quite spacious by the way. The food was nicely cooked, and server attentive to refilling my coffee as soon as it came anywhere close to being empty, TIP: Try to get a seat next to the end as 110v sockets and 2 USB-Type A are fitted into the dividers for getting a quick recharge while eating. On the whole a nice experience for dining in at an airport restaurant, prices are on the higher side but probably what you can expect these days. read more

My wife hit the jackpot tonight with her 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad with blue cheese. A huge dinner salad with a large, sliced sirloin. The only downside is Longhorns' lack of "healthy" dressings. Even their balsamic is 300 calories. Make sure you get your dressing on the side. I went with an 8oz sirloin dinner. I thought my steak was more rare than medium rare, but still very good. My steak came with a choice of sides and I went with a small salad (again, note the dressing) and steamed broccoli. I felt my steak was a tad more tender than my wife's. And I do wish Longhorn could provide steak knives. Probably airport safety deal. In all, a good meal with excellent service. For an airport stop, this is a solid choice. read more

Visited the Longhorn restaurant on Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI. on 1/30/2026. Ordered 2 ribeyes, 3 New York strips and 1 porterhouse. After leaving the restaurant, everyone became sick with nausea, stomach pain, cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. My Mother was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with Diverticulitis which has the same symptoms as food poisoning. It's just odd that everyone who ate steak from that order suffered an illness. Customer service stated that there was no other complaints and offered a $100 e-gift but after speaking to my husband and Mom, they feel that it was not a reasonable compensation for our ordeal. We have always frequented various longhorns at least twice a month. Everyone is leery about returning. Had to select at least one star although this review deserves none. read more

I asked for iced water, French onion soup, filet (rare), and mashed potatoes. It was brought out to me in that very order. I barely waited 5 minutes. I finished a meeting and was working while the food was being brought out. I didn't want to seem distracted, but I couldn't help it. I was trying to finish the call I was on and had loose ends to tie before logging off for the day. The French onion soup was tepid, but was delicious. The Gruyère gave it a mild nutty flavor yet the caramelized onions gave it the finish sweet finish. The filet was cooked rare as expected. I forgot to take a picture of how rare it was. I just had the best steak of my whole trip out here- and even with airport prices, it was less expensive than my usual spots in San Diego county.
