This was my second disappointing experience being seated in the bar section at LongHorn Steakhouse in Elizabethtown, where the bartender is also responsible for waiting tables. Had I known we were being seated there again, I would have asked for a different section. The food was excellent -- our Outlaw Ribeye, filet, and sirloin were all cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the meal. We waited a long time for drinks, water, and even bread. Our appetizer came without plates, and by the time they (and the bread) arrived, we had already finished eating it. Spinach dip, which required all of us dipping our bread into the same dish. But then, what bothered me most was that the plate carrying my salad had food spilled on it that appeared to be from another dish, which was very concerning but thinking it to be bacon bits that had spilled onto our appetizer plate. I later learned that salads are not served with bacon bits! Our server never checked back for refills or asked how our meals were. I eventually spoke with the manager, not for a discount, but simply to express that one person cannot properly handle both bartending and waiting tables at the same time. I find it to be very unfair to the patrons to allow the bartender to serve the bar, make all the ordered restaurant drinks and satisfy and large section of tables. I was unimpressed with the managers response as well. He apologized but it did not feel sincere. I expect better service when paying for an expensive dinner, especially while trying to enjoy an evening out with my granddaughters. Sadly, this is not the first time I've had poor service from this same server. As upset as I was, I will likely never return. I will definitely protest if I'm ever seated anywhere near the bar at any restaurant to avoid lack of good service again. read more

I saw that Long Horn brought back lambchops and knew I had to try them out. I didn't even know Long Horn offered lambchops. It seems as if they are a limited time special. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked. We like to eat them medium. My husband said " the person on the grill knows what they are doing. These lamb chops are cooked perfectly." The lamb chops come with a roasted tomato garlic-herb sauce. You have to ask to get them parmasean crusted. I tried then both ways and preferred the parmasean crusted. Very hit or miss for me. I've had lunch there several times and the food was acceptable, if not gourmet quality (which I don't expect). But I've also attended several evening meals with a group of 4 or 5 friends, and every time my food has been very subpar, to the point of not edible. Longhorn Steakhouse Etown, is mine and my husband's favorite place to celebrate our anniversary. He loves their ribs and steaks and I think they have the best grilled salmon and love their roasted asparagus. Every server has been wonderful! As far as ambience, the decor and artwork is beautiful, provided we are seated on the side nearest the bar which had better lighting. The rest of the room is kind of dark. I must say to the one that designed the bathrooms BRAVO!! For this wheelchair person they are perfect and I love the large doors on each stall and the roomy disabled stall. Came to this restaurant a few Fridays ago and experienced horrible customer service. As well and hard to believe in 2023 a slap of racism. We came in and was sat in the area from the front door which includes 8 seating booths as we went in only one booth had someone in it. As we were there for a little while the booths were filled and given bread and water as we sat there and had to ask for everything. Continued to get walked by. As we're a interracial couple and in town for work. 2023 and this still goes on in the south and in a big chain restaurant. What a shame read more

I have never had a bad meal at this steakhouse, it was one of the better steakhouses I've eaten at, something has went wrong with it terribly wrong, the waitress was slow and didn't listen to the order, took forever for her to come around, the manager was, "and I will say this lightly'", ignorant. My food was really good, the salad could have been fresher, but mine was ok, my wife's food on the other hand not good at all, the sirloin steak was spoiled, she ate a piece and ask me to taste it and it was definitely spoiled, her shrimp was charred and was like rubber, she ask for ranch on the side, when it was served it was drowned in ranch, we told the waitress that was very nice about her mail and she said she would ask the manager, 15 minutes later the waitress came by and ask if she had been here, and she hadn't, I saw her busting tables, but she never should up, waited another 5 minutes, explained the situation, she said the stake was just opened, and it could have been the broken lemon sauce, it of course wasn't, it actually spoiled. We had a really good experience here! My boyfriend and I got an intense craving for steak for lunch on a weekday. We were seated promptly and were salivating at the thought of the steaks we were going to get. Our waitress was great, bringing us all the bread we requested (but more than we needed, tbh). Given that it was lunch time on a weekday, our food came out pretty quickly. We dug in right away. The steaks were nice and cooked medium rare--the only acceptable temperature for steaks, don't @ me. We were too hungry and crave-y to take pictures, and the steaks were cleared from our plates pretty soon after they got to us. Our waitress was such a sweetheart too! She was really helpful and friendly. She asked us to mention her name in the survey in the receipt, which we were more than happy to. We didn't win whatever raffle they had going on, but we hope she got out of rolling silverware for a month by us mentioning her! I payed 60 dollars for my order I didn't get much steak in my meal which I'm very angry about if I payed 30 dollar for the steak and didn't get much. I also ordered a salad that came with steak in. Which in the salad there was ONLY GODDAMN FOUR PIECES OF STEAK!!!! Also in the images when I was looking online there was croutons in the salad. But when I got my order and looked THERE WERE NO CROUTONS. We hadn't ate here in quite some time and were really surprised by the flavor of the renegade sirloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with steamed asparagus and a side salad. I stayed within my macros and enjoyed a great meal. Service was excellent. I'm not sure why we don't come here more often really. I had just left the hospital 15 minutes before from cancer surgery and had not eaten in 3 days. You never know what somebody's going through, so being kind should have been practiced. After the CDC gave the "ok" for restaurants to re-open, we were thrilled to see the Elizabethtown LongHorn was open for business. We been twice already (May 22nd and 29th) since we didn't know the processures if masks were require to enter or if we needed to make reservations before arriving, we called the restaurant from the parking lot and we were advised mask were optional and reservation not required, to go ahead and come in. We had an early dinner (appx.5:00pm) so the restaurant was not busy. We were seated very quickly. Tabitha was our server. She was outstanding, friendly and ready to serve us. We felt very welcome the moment we walked in. Disposal paper menu were giving to us. The restaurant staff were ALL wearing mask and gloves. Menu options were reduced from the original menu as we remember it. Tabitha suggested an appetizer which we love! The ribs were out of this world and my steak was delicious. The strawberry shortcake was a delicious (a bit frozen in the middle-but it was so good we didn't complain). We had leftover ribs and Tabitha offered more sauce for our ribs. Which we appreciate greatly! The food was A+ from the beginning to end! Server was an A+ We had a visit from the manager, checking if everything was ok. This 1st visit was outstanding. On the 2nd visit (a week later) was not as smooth or outstanding as the 1st. Having a late dinner(apprx 8pm) can make a difference in service. This time we had to wait in the car to wait out turn. This was not a problem. Once we were called/text to come in, we were seated quickly. We saw staff not handling cleaning as we saw a week ago. We were giving regular menus. Our server was busy with other customers and didnt check on us like Tabitha did a week before. ( needing water refilled and bread)We ordered ribs and steak -like previous week-and these still were delicious. Cook to perfection. Having extra ribs to take home, we were not offered extra sauce or if we wanted dessert. She brought us the check without us asking.
