I love Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch and dinner. Today we went for lunch. I had a steak burger cooked medium with a side salad. The burger was cooked to perfection. The toppings were fresh and included cheddar cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, and tomato on a toasted bun. The burger was juicy and flavorful. It was the star of the lunch meal. When I want a burger I think Longhorn!! The service is excellent, friendly, and prompt. We never sit lacking service and our server today anticipated everything before we could ask. Start off with a very small 3 minute wait as the host Was preparing a seat for someone else. Then we were quickly seated and before we could even sit down our server Lauren had already came out to greet us. I got a Daiquiri with Captain Morgan my daughter got a virgin daiquiri and then as recommended we got the wild West shrimp and Parmesan breakfast spinach if that's an appetizer we've only been sitting down 5 minutes and we've already got our drinks and Play Store appetizers order. Lauren's been over to check on us a couple times. Good start if I might say So I got the parmesan-crusted chicken with baby back ribs mashed potatoes and honey butter roasted and brussel sprouts. My daughter got a 6 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. All of our meals came with two sides which was awesome and Lauren has been a very good service so far. It just started off bad. We got seated. The couple the next table over got seated. We ordered drinks and an appetizer to start. They got their drinks,, and we sat. Finally got our drinks, and they brought bread. We ordered. Two minutes later the salads arrive. So we had atiming issue. We had Cesar salads which mine was great, the hubby had to work hard to find dressing. The steaks arrive. I eat my meat med rare and the hubby eats his medium. Mine was so rare I sent it back to the kitchen for another pass on the grill. I didn't think anything of it when she created a table and my steak was carried back to the kitchen with dirty plates from another table. Well I got the same steak back. Gave us no insight on what the wait time would be and just took our number down without warning us how long the wait will be. just seemed rude and like she didnt want to be there. A Better chain restaurant. The meals are just a little more expensive than something like a Logan's across the street, but worth it for the improved quality and upgraded side included. Well, first impressions weren't all that great because there was a funky smell when I walked in, kind of old and stale. But then the staff were very friendly and things started to look up. I ordered the salmon with a side salad and broccoli. The salad was pretty good size with just the right amount of dressing and was very good. Renegade Sirloin, medium rare with baked potato and a side salad. It came out in about 10-12 minutes and the steak was fantastic. Like any center-cut, the meat was both tender and fibrous. The "prairie dust" of steak seasonings is a much mellowed choice than Flo's filet - and if I'm not eating the hearty 12 ounce NY Strip, this is my go-to, especially since you can order 6, 6, 10, and 12-ounce cuts. The potato and salad were simple, but done well. The blue cheese dressing was chunky and full of zing. The potato's skin was lightly rubbed with kosher or sea salt - and that flavor infused the potato entirely. The bill came to 42+ tip for two entire meals - with middle of the road steak cuts. That will be hard to beat without suffering in quality... ...and that's exactly why I go out of my way for Longhorn. read more

First things First , Longhorn has lamb chops for limited time. We had a large party of 10. The hostess at the front was RUDE. It's prom season so I understand places may be packed. However we had to wait 2 hours due to no reservations. They had only one area that would seat a party of 10 so other parties were seated before us. Even parties of 6-8. Better communication is needed when situations like this arise. Now our waiter and waitress were wonderful didn't get their names. I know large parties are tricky. On to the food: the perfect margarita was perfect. The shrimp appetizer was amazing per usual. The lamb chops were okay. I've had better. Long story short, she thanked me later that evening because it made for a perfect midnight snack. I ordered my steak medium-well, while my wife ordered medium-rare. The only drawback was that they both looked the same on the inside. I ended up just eating the outer area because it wasn't quite as pink. From what I could eat, it was tasty, but I didn't eat much of it. The honey-drizzled brussel sprouts were tasty and the bread is always good. I just wish my steak would've been cooked a little longer. But my wife lucked up again, as I gave her the rest of mine for lunch the next day. Adrienne and I were looking for a quick snack late night and we were driving down hill rd looking for somewhere nice. Longhorn has always had great steaks and we always loved the food. This was an evening rendezvous that had some really great prices jack and cokes. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a super friendly bartender who recommended the drinks. We started off with the chili cheese fries and the fried shrimp. The fries were super crispy and had a ton of topping on them - these were Adrienne's favorite as she tried to finish them before I got to have any. The shrimp is something I get every time I visit - you can't beat the way you get for the price. The peppers are always spicy and the ranch is always super cold.
