This was so yummy! I went to LongHorn Steakhouse with my family just to compare with Texas Roadhouse lol. I was surprised with how great it was. The ambiance was definitely calmer and less chaotic. The service was good-- nothing special. The food was yummy. Everything was great. The sweet potatoes had a lot if sugar in them but I'm not sure I hate that. Lol The salad was good but I wasn't a huge fan. I eggs, bacon and french dressing if you know what I mean. The steak was one if the juiciest steaks I have ever had. I'm not a huge fan of the seasoning and it did have a lot of black pepper but the steak was definitely cooked perfect!!! I am glad I gave LongHorn a shot and would definitely do it again.

My friends and I stopped in to LongHorn Steakhouse for dinner on a Saturday night. We had been outside in the rain all afternoon at my nieces baby shower. We were tired and hungry. We were seated within five minutes. Our server came by roughly 7-8 minutes later. We all had decided what we wanted for dinner, so we ordered. I ordered the fillet with asparagus and a side salad. I kept debating whether to order the cheaper steak, but I knew I wanted the highest quality of beef, so I went with the fillet. The salad was fresh and helped ease the hunger pains in my stomach. When the steak arrived, I cut into it and was so pleased. It was cooked just as I requested, medium. It was tender and juicy and needed no steak sauce (which I normally use). The asparagus was also cooked to perfection and had seasoning that enhanced the flavor. I ate half my meal and took the rest back to the hotel and flew it home to Jacksonville the next morning (direct flight) and had it for dinner. It was just as good the next night! The service was friendly and the food was delicious. It was a Saturday dinner win!

My Dad and I enjoyed Sunday lunch at LongHorn. Restaurant wasn't busy. We were seated promptly and had an excellent waitress. I ordered the Salmon and sweet potato it was 10/10. The wild rice is the perfect pairing with it. Also, highly recommend asking the staff for brown sugar butter if you order a sweet potato here (trust me you'll thank me). My Dad said his porter house steak had too much fat on it and not enough meat so he was disappointed. However, he comes here often and said that was the first time it happened.

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening and they were rather busy, but since it was just me, I sat at the bar. Service was very good. Food came out promptly and was very fresh and tasty. My filet was cooked perfectly to temperature! The shrimp that came with it was very tasty and fresh as well. Their mac & cheese was awesome! This place is sooo much better than Texas Roadhouse!!! Still not understanding the draw to TR, but I would choose Longhorn over it, especially since I've tried both and TR was true to form - terrible. I'll definitely return!!

I went to LongHorn for dinner last week while in Pittsburgh for work. I sat at the bar and ordered a sirloin with mashed potatoes and the steakhouse Mac and cheese. The steak was tasty and cooked perfectly. The sides were also very good. I had two drinks, and i enjoyed them as well. The waitress/bartender was very helpful and attentive. Longhorn is consistently a good restaurant and it didn't disappoint at this location.

Went here last night for dinner with a group of 5. Server was really tentative. I got the sirloin with grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes. It was all really good and juicy!! The side salad was actually pretty big too!

Hubby and I had a great dinner! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the drinks were delicious! We don't do chain restaurants too often but we will definitely go back to this one!

LongHorn Steakhouse is a regular spot for my family and I, and I wanted to share my experience from my visit today. First, the parking is actually very nice, a little cramped but still has good enough room. Next, we were seated and I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and my mom had ordered the French Onion Soup. I got my steak as medium rare and it was delicious, and I really loved it. My mom said the French Onion Soup was delicious as well. Our waitress Jami was excellent. She was frequently stopping by and gave us time when needed and suggestions when they needed to be suggested. I loved her, she was amazing. Finally, the environment is western-themed and gives a good feel to the atmosphere. Overall, I'd rate it a 4/5.

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

Ordered the "President Salad" which is their take on a caesar, and I'd ignorantly forgotten a few months prior they shut down due to health code violations. Later that night, I was awoken with what seemed to be the wrath of God within my stomach; what followed was the worst I've felt in the entirety of my life, food poisoning from the overpriced quirky bar in Lawrenceville. Do not get food here. Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. A couple of us were really excited to try the chicken parm, but we were quickly disappointed by the lack of flavor (very, very bland) and how thick the pieces of chicken were. Our server was very attentive when we first arrived, but as our meal went on, she was no where to be found for drink refills, to check in, etc. In fact, we had to wait a good 20 minutes after we were finished eating for her to appear so we could ask for the check. Choosing to eat here ended up being a regret and waste of money. We spent over $100 for a meal that I honestly could have done a better job cooking at home...and I'm not even that great of a cook! Needless to say, we won't be back and don't recommend wasting your time and money here.
