    Filet mignon and mashed potatoes
    Tiffany Y.

4.5 stars. LongHorn Steakhouse is a chain restaurant that serves steaks as well as appetizers (e.g., Texas Tonion and cheddar-stuffed mushrooms), salads, soups, chicken, pork, salmon, sides (e.g., asparagus and cheesy macaroni), and desserts (e.g., shortcake and lava cake). Many alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available. I have been a customer of this LongHorn Steakhouse many times over years, and I have always had positive experiences. I have never had problems with the employees or foods. My husband and I like the honey-wheat bread that is included for free. We each usually order the Flo's Filet mignon, and it is usually cooked to our preferences. I also enjoy a strawberry-pecan salad and mashed potatoes. Most recently, my husband also ate a loaded-potato soup that was very tasty.

This is my fav steakhouse when I think about steakhouse chains in Pittsburgh. The sides are just so much better -- mashed potatoes are creamy & delicious and the brussel sprouts are SO good! Steak was cooked exactly how we asked and I've never had bad service. Booths are comfy & the vibes were good - not too loud & felt elevated but was affordable.

I've been to longhorn's many times but this location cooked my steak perfectly. I got the 6oz flos filet and it was perfectly rare. The molten lava cake is possibly the best dessert ever created. Everything was perfect.

The service was good. My only complaint was that our server did not clear our table as she went. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but we got drinks, salads, and an appetizer in addition to our mains at a four top table. There was definitely a stack of like 4 dishes at some point. As for the food, the steaks were perfectly cooked and the spicy chicken poppers were excellent. Don't Parmesan crust your steak. It's less of a crust and more of just cheesy goop that is WAY too salty. Both steaks that ordered it scraped it off. The mac and cheese is also not worth the charge. It tastes dry. The ambiance was nice. I like the North Hill and North Allegheny decorations by the bar. I won't be returning. With Texas Roadhouse 5 minutes away, save your money and go there. The food is way better too.

Great steakhouse without breaking the bank! Highly recommend using their online waitlist, which helped us get a table within 5mins of arriving on a Friday night (after a 60min wait at home). The menu has a great variety of options and also everyday deals for drinks. I ordered the $7 Texas Magarita and it was tasty with a subtle lime flavor that was refreshing. We signed up for their email club, so we had a coupon for a free appetizer. We used it on the Wild West Shrimp and it was delicious! Firstly the appetizer is huge and full of crispy bready shrimp. The flavor is wonderful with tender shrimp that is lightly breaded and peppers sprinkled on top, along with ranch dressing for dipping. It was very filling just the appetizer so I ordered the 6oz filet as my entree. It comes with a house salad and choice of side. The salad was made with fresh ingredients and a good amount of dressing throughout. I would have liked the ranch dressing and croutons o taste more homemade, but it was still a good way to start off my meal. The loaded baked potato was stuffed with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and scallions. It came out warm and was pretty big too. Last but not least, the filet was delicious! Very tender, perfectly cooked medium, with a buttery glaze. It was a great experience and our waiter was very attentive to making sure we had everything we needed even with the kitchen busy.

I came here to celebrate a birthday for a family member. We ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer. Pretty tasty. I love the roasted red peppers and mild peppers that accompanied the fried shrimp. I ordered the 6 oz filet with a Caesar salad and a sweet potato. Filet was cooked to the perfect specified temp and the sweet potato was delish with the cinnamon butter. I found it strange that some of us had the cinnamon butter on the side and some of use had it on the potato. Service wasn't great. Our server kept apologizing that she had to take on an extra table. Our salads came out at the same time as our steaks and she couldn't tell the difference between a filet and a sirloin, therefore, switching our plates. I probably would head over to BJ's or Bonefish over this place next time. Similar quality of food and better service.

Server Kristen K was fantastic. Very attentive and I never asked for anything, she was right there delivering everything before I asked for it. Outstanding server.

I just picked up my order via curbside. The curbside text doesn't work. I waited 10 minutes after I followed the direction that was texted to me and realized that no one was thronging my food order to me. I proceeded to call the number for curbside pick up and got my food order within 5 minutes. My bone-in Outlaw ribeye was so tough that I can't even cut into it. I was only able to eat half of it.

We love Longhorn! But unfortunately this was our worst visit... We arrived for lunch around 11:45 and waited 20 minutes just to be greeted after being sat. Then another long wait for our drinks. bread was stale, my sirloin was very tough (ordered medium rare and although temp was right there were a lot of chewy tendons), had silver skin on it still. It was just a bad cut. We also ordered the Texas tonion that was way over salted, so much so we didn't eat it. They did take it off of the bill. We were there for over an hour, and left very underwhelmed.

The perfect margarita- was perfect after a very Long day of working in the yard!!!

My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Trivia and live music are sometimes available for entertainment. In the past few years, my husband and I have eaten at Wheelfish a few times. For our meals, the hostess and waitress promptly and politely served us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Pretzel bites - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK. For drinks, we had iced tea, diet Pepsi, and water. The waitresses brought refills.

We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. Where they fell down IMO was their pizza. It just wasn't very good. We had several versions of their Sicilian to choose from. The cheese was generous, but the crust was doughy and heavy, the sauce was flavorless, and the toppings were very stingy. A big piece of Sicilian pizza with 3 slices of pepperoni is not good. I checked out their menu and was stunned at the prices they are getting for those pizzas. WAY overpriced. Of course i didn't have to pay for them since it was a party, but knowing what their pizza is like i would never go back there and pay those prices. The wings were just OK, pretty mediocre.
