I have not been to a LongHorn for many years. Personally, I felt the steaks are a bit overpriced and I wasn't sure there was a reason to come here. We came for lunch: I got the 7-Pepper Salad with a French Onion Soup. I cannot say enough about the quality of our meal. The salad and French Onion Soup are next level. I cannot say that the salad was better than the soup, or vice-versa; both of the items were next level. My salad was steak with bleu cheese and bleu cheese dressing...it was SO GOOD! The soup was equal: what a great French Onion soup. I am not a fan of LongHorn environment...it feels kind of dirty. The bathrooms were not great. Let me say that our server was superior; Stacy was a great server and she took care of us perfectly. Overall, I am looking forward to my next lunch here. read more

Worst steak I have ever had, it was so salty it literally burnt my tongue. My boyfriend tasted it cuz his was salty and said mine was so much worse. I could eat even half of it. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but we got drinks, salads, and an appetizer in addition to our mains at a four top table. There was definitely a stack of like 4 dishes at some point. As for the food, the steaks were perfectly cooked and the spicy chicken poppers were excellent. Don't Parmesan crust your steak. It's less of a crust and more of just cheesy goop that is WAY too salty. Both steaks that ordered it scraped it off. The mac and cheese is also not worth the charge. It tastes dry. The ambiance was nice. I like the North Hill and North Allegheny decorations by the bar. I won't be returning. With Texas Roadhouse 5 minutes away, save your money and go there. Great steakhouse without breaking the bank! Highly recommend using their online waitlist, which helped us get a table within 5mins of arriving on a Friday night (after a 60min wait at home). The menu has a great variety of options and also everyday deals for drinks. I ordered the $7 Texas Magarita and it was tasty with a subtle lime flavor that was refreshing. We signed up for their email club, so we had a coupon for a free appetizer. We used it on the Wild West Shrimp and it was delicious! Firstly the appetizer is huge and full of crispy bready shrimp. The flavor is wonderful with tender shrimp that is lightly breaded and peppers sprinkled on top, along with ranch dressing for dipping. It was very filling just the appetizer so I ordered the 6oz filet as my entree. It comes with a house salad and choice of side. The salad was made with fresh ingredients and a good amount of dressing throughout. I would have liked the ranch dressing and croutons o taste more homemade, but it was still a good way to start off my meal. The loaded baked potato was stuffed with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and scallions. It came out warm and was pretty big too. Last but not least, the filet was delicious! Very tender, perfectly cooked medium, with a buttery glaze. I love the roasted red peppers and mild peppers that accompanied the fried shrimp. I ordered the 6 oz filet with a Caesar salad and a sweet potato. Filet was cooked to the perfect specified temp and the sweet potato was delish with the cinnamon butter. I found it strange that some of us had the cinnamon butter on the side and some of use had it on the potato. Service wasn't great. Our server kept apologizing that she had to take on an extra table. Our salads came out at the same time as our steaks and she couldn't tell the difference between a filet and a sirloin, therefore, switching our plates. We were in the area so the family settled on LongHorn Steakhouse for dinner. I've always thought of LongHorn as an "old reliable" option. It's never going to blow your socks off with top quality cuts, but it's reasonably priced with enough options for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions. For this most recent stop, my strip steak was of decent quality (albeit more medium rather than the medium-rare that I ordered). But all in all, even with my aforementioned reduced expectations, I was underwhelmed on a number of fronts. 1. I ordered a cabernet, and the wine glass was filthy. Not just some residual lip marks, but full on lip marks and finger prints all over the glass. I'm not sure there was even an attempt to wash the glass before it wound up at my table. 2. Our waiter, while very pleasant, carried our ice water glasses by the top of the glass, you know, from where you put your mouth to drink . And I observed multiple wait staff behaving similarly. C'mon... that's kind of gross. And I know people are going to say "just use the straw" but that should be a personal choice, not decided for me. 3. Our salads, while otherwise fine, were all drowning in dressing. Can we all agree that dressing is to compliment a salad, not be the feature of the salad? 4. The house bread was very dry. Took a bite and decided it wasn't worth the carbs. 5. As already mentioned, my NY Strip was slightly overcooked. Individually, these were all small inconveniences, but when you add them all up, I can't in good conscience give LongHorn more than 3 stars. Then another long wait for our drinks. bread was stale, my sirloin was very tough (ordered medium rare and although temp was right there were a lot of chewy tendons), had silver skin on it still. It was just a bad cut. We also ordered the Texas tonion that was way over salted, so much so we didn't eat it. They did take it off of the bill. My daughter took me out to Longhorn Steakhouse for fathers day. The wait was about 30 minutes as we did not do call ahead seating. Once we where seated the waitress came right over took a drink order and then brought bread and our drinks. I started with a french onion soup then a salad and then finally a sirloin with mashed potatoes. The onion soup was just ok nothing special the sale was good and fresh The mashed potatoes tasted more like a mix then real mashed potatoes and ate only a few bites as they where terrible Th sirloin was cooked just right and tasted fine. I give this place 4 stars and the reasons are the waiter and bar staff. The waiter was nice and did get us what we wanted when we asked, but challenged my fiancé about his order. My fiancé asked for mushrooms and onions on his steak and when the order came out, he only brought mushrooms. When my fiancé asked for onions (again) the waiter said "is that was you told me before?" I just feel that the waiter should have said "let me get that for you right away" whether he asked for it or not, he requested it now. I think that service could have been better. Also, the bartender was a bit pushy with the way he was trying to up-sell the products. I ordered a glass of Pinot noir and he recommended the more expensive brand, even though I did not ask for that one (la crema). I ended up getting the la crema Pinot noir, per his recommendation, and then he tried to get me to buy a 9oz glass over the 6oz! I feel that he was trying to make me buy more and more and it became annoying. There were also a lot of positives and I do love the food at Longhorn. We went to Longhorn for only my second time ever because I had a gift card. The waiter was nice and first said "You've been to Longhorn before right?" before saying his whole little spiel. He was probably surprised when I said actually I was here only once ten years ago. Lol! I don't typically go to chain restaurants and also I don't eat meat so this has never been on my list. We went for lunch on a Saturday while shopping at Nordstrom Rack. The restaurant was pretty empty around 1 pm. I had a margarita and it was SO good! They gave us the rest of the drink still in the shaker and it was enough for 2 people. The bread and butter for the table was a whole loaf of bread! I ordered the lunch salmon with a sweet potato and shrimp and lobster chowder. I didn't know the salmon was served on rice or else I wouldn't have ordered another carb like a sweet potato. I took the whole potato to go and ate it 4 different times. It legit weighed 5 pounds and was huge!! The salmon was cooked perfectly, but was overly salty and buttery. It was still really good and the rice was fine. The shrimp and lobster chowder was really good and creamy, especially on a cold day. I would stop here again when shopping especially since it was quick and pretty cheap for huge portions. My boyfriend liked the steak sandwich and I enjoyed some of his fries. I came here for dinner alone while staying at a nearby hotel. Keeping in mind that I sat at the bar (so the service is always faster than the dining area), I had a really good experience. I started with a Yuengling on tap during happy hour. The bartender was very attentive, but it also wasn't hard to be as there were never more than five people sitting at the bar during my time there. I ordered a ribeye medium with asparagus and a side salad; the total for these three items was about $25. The ribeye was done perfectly medium and had the right amount of seasoning. The asparagus was good, but a little overdone and squishy. The salad was excellent as I upgraded to the bacon blue cheese seasonal option. The big pieces of romaine were very fresh. I ordered a tiny piece of banana cream pie to go - it was as expected. This is a good option given the other choices in the area. I think they are just hitting their stride as this is a new development that is still under construction. I think in time it will be a go-to spot for professional dinners and groups. read more

Visited this location yesterday afternoon. I was being treated to lunch by my nephew. We were served by a young lady who let us know she was fairly new. Steaks were cooked as requested. My gripe with yesterday's visit; I wanted a side salad and broccoli as my vegetable which should've been included with the entrée. Waitress let us know that they were out of broccoli. I asked her could if I could get another vegetable instead, She said no I would have to incur an up-charge if I order any other vegetable. Bad decision by restaurant manager not to substitute another vegetable instead of one that you were offering as part of a meal, not good customer service at all.
