Stopped at The Stage Coach Grille in La Verkin and had the shrimp scampi, and it was SO good. We were a party of 9, and between us we tried the shrimp scampi, burgers, and country fried steak. Let's just say there were a lot of empty plates at the end of dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The shrimp were big and perfectly cooked, the linguini had tons of flavor with garlic, olive oil, lemon and fresh basil, and everything tasted fresh. The portion was generous too, and I would absolutely order it again. And a special shoutout to Matt, our server! He was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and somehow kept a table of 9 taken care of without ever making us feel rushed. One of the others in my group chose this place to eat after a long day of hiking. The food here really hit the spot! I ordered a burger with onions and mushrooms and added a fried egg (I really like the idea after having had the Au Cheval one). The patty is a little under seasoned but all the other toppings add to the flavor profile so much you don't really notice. The bun is nice and fluffy! I felt like I almost had to unhinge my jaw to get a good bite, but they really do load up the burger. The fries are almost potato wedge esque and are just perfectly lightly seasoned. As we were eating, a little snake slithered its way under the table! I don't think I've ever seen a snake that small. The waiter said it was an Utah king snake -- he was able to pick it up with ease and relocate it outside, as the table of us looked on in shock. We sat on the patio seating (but it's actually sheltered from the outside -- minus the small holes where the snake may have gotten in), and the temperature there was perfect! Based solely on personal review, my husband chose to go to Stage Coach Grille. We arrived to a fairly empty restaurant and we thought we were going to have wonderful service. We were seated quickly in the corner of the first seating area. It took our waitress, Alisha, nearly 15 minutes to come take our drink order. She must've been busy with other tables or closing duties because we didn't experience fast service and we even Had to repeat my husband's beer order 3 times as she came back to table without it twice. Once ordered, our meals were made fairly quickly. I ordered the 8oz salmon and by husband ordered the cowboy ribeye. The main courses were cooked to order but my husbands baked potato was only hot on the bottom. All the toppings were ice cold. He had to send it back but then couldn't finish it, lol. Our food was very good once we received it. The service was good, but a bit slow. We ended up being the last customers in the restaurant, as well. Love love love! We stopped in for dinner here on our way to Kanab. When we walked it it was Déjà vu. My husband and had been here 6 years prior almost to the day. We didn't even realize it until we walked through the saloon doors. We love the welcoming staff and the food is soo good!! I had the filet and crab cake. We also had the ribs, chicken fried steak, the kids chicken fingers, Mac and cheese, Alfredo, and burger. Everything was soooo good! It was fresh hot! Our server was great too! Such a local gem! The service was on point Alisha was our wonderful server. we ordered the tomahawk for two and it was delicious it was cooked to perfection the presentation of the potato that we got loaded was really cool and unusual the vegetables were so fresh and cooked to perfection. It's obvious that this is the community hangout-lots of folks here on a Friday night enjoying a nice dinner. Even though there were lots of people there, we were seated right away. The menu has plenty of options, including burgers, steaks and even some seafood dishes. I opted for the clam chowder and a dinner salad while my dinner partner enjoyed the pork chop. The clam chowder was just ok-nothing to write home about. But the bite I had of pork chop from across the table was pretty good. Seems right-this is more of a meat and potatoes place. The service was a little off-putting. When we arrived, there were three girls gathered around the host table chatting. They weren't too eager to pause their conversation to greet us. throughout the night, we observed them behaving silly-much like I'd expect to see at the high school cafeteria. And our server did his job, but couldn't be bothered with friendly chit chat or a smile. I get the sense that tourists might be more of a burden than a support and if we were locals we might have been treated differently. If you can fit in with the local crowd (i.e. denim jeans and boots) you might be just fine. And order the steak-it looks good. read more

My family and I came in from AZ we are staying locally and I am so happy we came across this place. Not only is this place clean, welcoming and the decor is stunning! There are horses right outside and places for to sit and enjoy the ambiance. I had the French onion soup it was great! We also had the kids spaghetti, French Dip, onion rings and a burger! All the food was great and my family enjoyed it all! Now the SERVICE!! TALON IS THE BEST! He was attentive, put in our order perfectly and got my daughter spaghetti in the fly! Such a lovely evening, I walked to stage coach under a beautiful desert sunset and had a delicious meal. The salmon was flakey, with a little crunch on the exterior and incredible flavor. I chatted with the staff about our concerns for the world but more so the hope we still share for our future. The world is heavy right now, good company and good food make it better though. Not to mention a Moscow Mule: their ginger beer was so smooth with just the right amount of snap to it, and I swear it almost had some kind of sage ending to it. Divine. Thank you all for the meal, so happy I wasn't too tired to make the trek. Legend has it that Zion is the Holy City... Perhaps these are the mountains Jesus will return to us in with the sound of horns to save us from this uncertain future. I'm willing to believe it. Keep the hope alive. read more

However, it was a little heavy on the dressing, even though I did not use any of the dressing on the side, and expensive for what it is. Just left this place. Amazing staff! Food...... top notch! Ambiance....... Unique (perfect)! Started with the fried Zucchini sticks. Definitely fresh, not frozen. Ate every one. I usually don't leave reviews like this, but I felt it was important -- this is actually my first negative Yelp review. My breakfast was not edible. I ordered sunny side up eggs, and the egg whites were raw -- clear and gelatinous rather than opaque and fully cooked. When I brought this up, I was told that this is how sunny side up eggs are meant to be, which isn't true. While the yolk should be runny, the whites should always be fully cooked. I ended up sending the dish back. This felt more like a food safety issue than a matter of personal preference, and I hope it's addressed. I also asked for my steak to be medium and it came out well done. (Not that big of a deal, it happens). I was going to place a to go order but the server dropped off the check early. read more

What a great first meal in Utah. It is spring break so I get it's a long wait in a small town but they let you throw horse shoes while you wait. Back home this would never be allowed so it's nice to feel trusted. Place was busy but the staff was friendly and on it. The salad that came with my steak wasn't anything special but it's the exact salad one would want at a spot like this. They make a mighty fine steak Fantastic food, fantastic decor (that bald eagle above me wasn't messing around) and awesome customer service.
