The Hostess had asked if we were celebrating anything. Yes. My wife's birthday. Arthur took our orders. My wife had surf and turf and I had the 9 ounce fillet with a loaded baked potato. We both had basically house wine at $10.00 per glass. The house salad came with both swimming in our respective dressings. We were each able to down a few bites before putting them aside. Entrees arrived in a timely manner. My wife enjoyed everything on her order. Steak done to order and tasty shrimp. My center cut fillet was not a good cut. It did not melt in my mouth. Way too chewy. I ordered medium rare. The cook was uneven and way too much salt in the seasoning. The baked potato was also extremely over salted. Disappointing for a "steakhouse". I did not mention anything to Arthur until after I had already paid the check because I was not looking for a discount. Oh yes! When we came in, I was asked about the special occasion. My wife's birthday. When we sat down, one of the staff stopped and wished her a happy birthday. Then nothing. It was not mentioned again. Why ask if you are not going to do something? Sing a song. Offer a discounted dessert. But nothing. I admit to scratching my head on that. Bottom line. My wife enjoyed it. Me? Not so much with the exception of Arthur. Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday service was talk much as usual with Carlos. I'm not sure what exactly has changed in the restaurant since I visited many years, but the food quality is not the best especially when it comes to chicken. It seems like the food it's being prepared with so much sodium that it makes it inedible to enjoy eating. We ordered some salmon that was delicious spicy chicken bites. Those were good as well as the strawberry chicken salad, but the Parmesan chicken plate was by far an edible because of the sodium that was in there the server was kind and asked if we wanted to remake we did we waited 25 minutes to get chicken that was basically the same thing we were told that they double season their food they marinate it in a sodium based sauce and then again season it when it's cooking if you come here stay for the steak pasta, the chicken it was so salty that it was bitter read more

Went at 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Place was very empty but had to wait almost 30 minutes(along with 25 other people) cause they didn't have enough servers. Management needs to get their act together and get adequate help or people should go somewhere else. As steakhouses go, this is the best we've found in the west valley. Yea, you have Fleming's and now Morton's - and those are certainly excellent- but I put those in a different category really. A steak there is $80 and everything is a-la-carte and $30 more. So it's more of a special/high-end experience. Longhorn, by contrast, is a more "every day" family steakhouse experience. It's what a good old-fashioned steakhouse should be. If you want to go into a dark, wood-paneled, bar-like establishment with red vinyl booths and mob bosses meeting in back rooms, you're better off at something like Durant's. This is not that. What great steak! As I said, the best we've had in the west valley. Excellent cuts, top quality meats. Cooked perfectly and as asked for. Tender, flavorful steak and the best baby-back ribs Ive ever had. For once they're not drenched in sticky-sweet, cheap BBQ sauce and overcooked. Nope, these were moist and fork-tender. The burgers are fantastic and the ribeye is juicy and full of flavor. The sirloin is top notch and the "Flo's Special" filet mignon is just perfect. The sides here are particularly good. The broccoli is unusually good and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese is legendary. It's hearty and gooey and very cheesy. Excellent. The potatoes are standard but very tasty and come with all the fixings. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake is my favorite. It's delicate and not cloyingly sweet. It's a delicate, light, fresh-tasting and very moist cake. The perfect finish to an excellent meal. You can't go wrong here. It's always packed, so do the waitlist before you arrive. Don't bother. They don't take reservations for parties of 4 or less. They have you call 30 mins ahead then check in. Then they tell you it will be another 35 minutes will you are packed with 35 other people jammed up front and pouring outside in the 100 degree summers heat. This is no way to manage a business. This was a disappointing experience. This restaurant is busy on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, it could be the large senior community here. I myself ordered a medium cooked steak, it was pretty rare, and the Parmesan crusted chicken was so salty it wasn't edible. And possibly the worst margarita I've had possibly ever. I watched as a girl cleaning a table next to ours pushed crumbs to the floor, when she should have attempted at least to collect them with the dishes she was clearing. Not much to look at, but definitely maximized for seating. And when you're hungry, I guess that's all that matters! Unfortunately it was 20 minutes before our server asked for our drink order. She was apologetic, and had our drinks out quickly. She said the bread is on the way. It took some time for that to arrive as well. Finally, we were promised our salad, on three occasions, which took about another 15 minutes or so to arrive. The Cesar salad and bread were reminiscent of a similar chain, but really good. The food took about another 30 minutes, but was very satisfying. I had an 8 oz. filet and lobster tail with a loaded baked potato. We also had the crispy honey Brussel sprouts. They were nicely crispy and delicious, but very sweet. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lobster was a great companion and the meal wouldn't have been complete without the loaded baked potato was very good. All-in-all the perfect amount of food. In the future, I would be a little more diligent about avoiding the crowd, but would definitely enjoy my meal again. In total, we were there for about 90 minutes. The account needs updating as we sat in a booth in the far right hand corner of the main dining area, cushions had no whatever in them, we were sitting on vinyl and support structure below cushions. They're 6 oz. Fillet which is supposed to be their specialty was just okay, and I'm stretching the okay. Baked potato was fine. Brussel Sprouts were fine as well. The LH Burger was okay. I feel the food quality has fallen off dramatically as it has in a lot of restaurants, i'm sure the high food costs are affecting the restaurants as well. The Parmesan crusted chicken, potato soup, and crispy chicken bites are insanely good, too. The caesar salad is the best restaurant caesar I've had, and those chicken bites are so crispy and tangy, I can't get enough. At 8 bucks for a large plate, it's a great deal! This was our first-time dining here after I signed up for their frequent dining program and received a complimentary appetizer. There was no wait for two on a Friday night (summer in AZ is quiet) so that was great! Our server John greeted us with bread and a smile. He quickly took our drink order and gave us a minute to look over the menu. I tried a slice of the bread which had great flavor and was different from other steakhouse restaurants. It was almost like a honey wheat that was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The butter was tasty too! I ordered the Wild West Shrimp (appetizer) which was so good! Spicy, crispy, tons of flavor and so much food. I paired that with a loaded baked potato but felt that wasn't cooked enough. It was good but not great. Went to Longhorn for lunch on a Sunday at about 1:30pm. When we arrived there was a 20 minute wait. We put our names on the list and sat down. As I looked around the booth seating close to the bar and in the dining room I was shocked at the number of empty tables. Why was there a wait? I can only guess that management didn't schedule enough staff. When we were finally seated we had a very friendly server who approached our table but seemed very frazzled. It became very apparent that he was overwelmed by the number of tables he had. I don't know if it was lack of experience or understaffing but our lunch took a total of TWO HOURS from the time we sat down to the time that we received our bill. It was a very frustrating experience as we had to continually look for and ask our water for items. Thought herself to be funny not so much. Now to the food. i had a the chicken luncheon sandwich it was so salty. Advised manger she tried to make excuses for it.but she did offer to make a new one I declined due to it took over 30 minutes to get the first one. My husband got the 7-pepper steak salad.
