First visit to any location in AZ ...ignoring the 3-star review. Arriving just after opening on a Sunday was the best time to come. We were greeted by Maureen and seated by Rylee. Both were kind. Ms. Maureen knows the dining room and where a party was seated when guests leave. I'm impressed. Even the bartender is attentive. Realizing I was looking for the restroom, she directed me around the bar and didn't miss a beat with what she was doing. Our server Daniel is excellent. I love great recommendations and honest feedback. Thank you Daniel for your hospitality! The "complimentary" brown bread is warm, soft and delicious along with the soft butter. I had a conversation with the manger. Samantha is so professional and personable. She is an excellent example of how providing great customer service looks. Thank you! We ordered the THREE CHEESE SPINACH DIP: A creamy blend of chopped spinach, Mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, and Alfredo sauce. Served with tortilla chips. Amazing appetizer! My meal: OUTBACK RIBS (1/2 rack) Smoked, brushed & grilled with a tangy BBQ sauce with seasoned rice and broccoli. Ribs were super tender. The rice was tasty. The broccoli was cooked just right and I asked for melted butter on the side. Hubby's meal: ALICE SPRINGS CHICKEN®: Grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, crisp bacon, melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar and honey mustard sauce. The steak was a decent cut of 9oz filet, the portions on the lobster tail and sweet potato are small $50 for that part. It's been like 15 years since I had a bloomin onion and it was tasty. The star of the show was the bloomin onion $12.99. We had a gift card we needed to use from here and there total for this meal and a serloin and chicken breast was about $136 with tip. The waiter was attentive and even with a crowded restaurant our food came up quickly. Probably won't be back any time soon unless I'm craving that Bloomin onion. read more

Friday, 4/4/2025 - Nice staffs. Our waitress didn't really check in on us. We ran out of water and thirsty. They musta been busy or short staff. I didn't see all the tables filled with people or anything. But it was a typical night. Prime rib was on the dry side. But the rub on the outside of it was good. It was still good even if it was on the the dry side. Pasta with the mini steak and shrimp was good, onion soup was good, ahi and salad was good. We were too full to get dessert. Hello Everyone: This review is for the Outback Steak House in Surprise, AZ. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent lot. I am going to divide up my review by subjects: Greeting: Upon entry we were warmly greeted by the hostess. I mentioned to her how nice the restaurant was and she was delighted we were going to give them a try. We had a gift card which included being able to be used at Outback, we were in the area, and decided to give this location a try. Five stars for the greeting. Seating: The seating consists of bar, booth and tables. We sat in a booth which was very comfortable. Sometimes the seats in booths can be wore down or torn/taped, but these were nicely kept up and were very clean. Floor seating was spaced so you did not overhear the conversation next to you. Five stars for the seating. Bathroom: Was nicely furnished, clean, with full soap/hand towels. Five starts for the bathrooms. Menu Options: There are several different menu options from sandwiches, steaks, salads, soups and burgers. If you are hungry, I am sure you can find something that would make you happy. My husband ordered the Cobb Salad with crispy chicken and I ordered the Outback Burger and fries. Since it was our first time at this Outback, Lori sent us one of their famous bloomin' onions, fresh out of the fryer with a wonderful dipping sauce. This was a real treat as we rarely order a deep-fried appetizer. The dipping sauce had a hint of horseradish. Review of the bloomin' onion: Very nice. Edges were crispy, onion was cooked just enough so it was not still firm. The only comment we both had was the amount of grease on the bottom of the onion at the base. After frying, the onion may have benefited 30 seconds or so to drain on a paper towel prior to serving. The sauce was a little spicy, just right, not too spicy and was thick enough to stay on the onion piece when dipping. Our wonderful waiter Christian indicated to us for future reference, you can order 1/2 an onion as well if desired. If you have never ordered one, I recommend you at least try a 1/2 an onion and enjoy something you don't see many places with the delicious sauce. Review of the salad: Husband said it was good. The cobb salad can be ordered with crispy chicken, grilled chicken, salmon or no chicken (each with a price variation). I would call this more of a mixed salad than a cobb salad. Traditionally, cobb salads are served with each ingredient lined up into the center of the salad. This salad presentation had all the ingredients mixed/tossed, with the chicken on top. Two sides of dressings were served. Had he eaten the entire salad, he would have had to ask for more dressing. This is a large salad, perhaps big enough for two people to split along with a side of soup or something else. Nice Touch: Warm bread is served with this entree. Review of the burger: The menu claims their burger is a 1/2-pound burger. Based on my many years of cooking experience, including as a chef for 5+ years, I do not believe the burger I received was a 1/2-pound portion. I ordered my burger medium to medium well, and it was served well done. The meat had several hard pieces inside of the burger which I know can happen during the grinding process, but nonetheless, I found myself spitting out more of those than I cared to so I did not complete it. The burger I received had cooked onions. The photo showed the onions raw. I prefer raw onions. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and mustard. Anything else you desire is an extra charge. I ordered my burger with fries and they were served nice and hot with a side of ketchup. The burger is the reason for a four-star rating rather than a five-star rating. Service: Our waiter was Christian during this visit and he did a wonderful job from start to finish. Tiffany (with the red hair since there are two) stopped by our table to check on us and told us Joey started at Outback when he was 17 and now manages the establishment. That is fantastic! She also mentioned their location has the lowest turnover of the chain, and many employees at this location had worked there 20 years or more. In this day and age, this says so much about Joey and how the team members work together and treat each other. This is an accomplishment this location should be exceptionally proud of and brag up often! I believe what we were told because everyone smiled, was kind and very caring toward the customers. Based on our overall experience, I would recommend this location. Ask lots of questions about the menu to ensure you will receive exactly what you hope to and enjoy your meal! read more

Most of the food was average to slightly below average. The burger was a little dry, the fried shrimp was mostly breading and bland. The chicken strips were nice and crispy. Some of the fries were crispy and others soft. The side Caesar salad was a little soggy, but overall good (wish there were a bit more croutons). The wings were the star of the meal for us. The sauce was unique and they were crispy. I wouldn't make a point to go out of my way to come here to get wings, but if I come back, the wings are what I am ordering. Our server was fantastic. Omgosh! We keep trying this location because it's close to our house, it literally has only been acceptable 1 time! I truly believe in giving chances, however this is the absolute last time at this location. The manager needs to be retrained for sure. We were a party of ten, they were not busy at all, as a matter of fact half the dining room was closed and the other half was about 3/4 filled. When we arrived at 630 they said an hour wait. I was like ok no biggie. I'm a fair person. However in between that time they sat a party of 7 that had just arrived, a party of 5 and smaller parties. Okay let that slide about an hour into it the hostess says on the big party we are waiting on just paid their bill, 1 1/2 later that party showed no sign of leaving g. , so I asked if they could prepare another table the hostess said no. I looked and saw 3-4 waiters and bus boys on their phones just hanging out. I was starting to lose it lol. The rest of my party was like let's just to to long horn, at that moment the hostess said we are setting up a table for you, I was like that should've been done 1/2 hour ago. So we left. Don't usually eat out on a Friday evening but had a friend visiting. People wanted steak and I wanted potato soup and TRH doesn't have potato soup so we ended up here. We were seated pretty quickly, maybe 10 min if that but service was soooooo sllllooooowww!!! We waited more than an hour for our food after waiting more than 30 min for our bloomin' onion, which was very tiny by the way. Our order was brought out by someone other than our server and was missing an item (side of shrimp) but by the time someone passed that we could alert and then the time that it took to get it was redicz. We had to ask multiple times for refills and condiments and bread, like one little loaf at a time is gonna feed a party of 5 adults. Not sure how much was that this was a Friday night, or our server was particularly bad but definitely doesn't make me want to visit more often. read more

Service was great during lunch hour on a saturday, and the food was surprisingly tasty! i had the Spicy Jammin Meatloaf, and i couldn't stop stuffing my face until the i licked my plate clean! the fries were also excellent! nice and crispy, perfecto!!! And their honey wheat bushman bread....OMG!!! eyes rolling to the back of my head good!!! Our waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. This was our fourth visit here this year and the manager has always made sure to stop by our table to make sure everything was going well. We love their specials for lunch and dinner. We both started with their amazing bread and salads. House for me, blue cheese wedge for the hubby. I ordered the 9oz sirloin with a house salad, loaded baked and four large coconut shrimp on the side. I could only eat half so I've got lunch for tomorrow! My steak was cooked to perfection, I added the garlic butter for $2.99 (too much but tasty) and the shrimp were so flavorful with the remoulade. My loaded baked potato was seriously good. Remind me to roll mine in salt at home. Hubby devoured his 16 oz. NY Strip, salad and loaded spud. We had no room for appetizers or dessert but one day I'd like to try both. We first met her at the Outback off the I-17, and when that location closed, we didn't hesitate to follow her to the Peoria location. Her warm smile and upbeat energy instantly make you feel welcome. She even remembers our usual order, which always makes the experience more personal and special. Most recently, we called ahead to request a table in her section for a birthday celebration. Not only did she make sure we had a great spot, but she also went above and beyond by decorating our booth with balloons and festive décor. It was hands down one of the best birthday dinners we've ever had -- all thanks to Tiffany's incredible thoughtfulness and care. Tiffany, thank you for making every visit memorable. I went with a group of 16 and 5 of us order the sirloin steak. It was so tough I had them take it back and change the order to a ribeye. Two others in the party couldn't eat theirs either. When I was leaving I hear another customer complain about how tough their steak was. I'm wondering if that's what they do to get you to order a more expensive steak. I had the Aussie 3 course meal for $14.99 and it was excellent! Our first time here is years and we were pleasantly surprised. Yummy shrimp, baked potato, salad and cheesecake for dessert.
