We have visited this Texas Roadhouse probably over a dozen times since we moved here in 2021. However, after tonight's visit, I don't think either of us will be too keen on returning anytime soon. One thing I like about Texas Roadhouse is that you can join the waitlist prior to arriving at the restaurant. I joined the waitlist prior to our arrival and we had minimal wait to get a table. Soon after getting our table, my mother and I realized that we were surrounded by three large parties with loud, screaming children. We mentioned this to our server, Dani, and she quite literally shrugged it off and said, "well, it is a family restaurant." Well, I would like to eat my dinner on a Thursday night in peace. We're paying just as much for our food as the tables with the feral children, yet we're certainly not enjoying our experience. While I don't expect the staff of Texas Roadhouse to silence the noisemakers, I would have appreciated being offered a different table or, at the very least, a shred of compassion for the nuisance that we were dealing with. The food was just meh and we were pretty much ignored by Dani after expressing our frustration over the extreme noise. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Surprise area that value families without young children. We will be patronizing those establishments in the future. One star is being generous. Our party of 11 adults was quoted a 1 hour and 15 minute wait, but we ended up waiting over 1 hour and 40 minutes to be seated. When we finally got our table, they tried to seat all 11 of us at two small tables that comfortably fit only nine people. I asked to speak with the manager, Kelly , and unfortunately the interaction only made things worse. Before I could fully explain the issue, she immediately responded with an attitude, saying that if we wanted a larger table, we would have to go back outside and wait with no guarantee of how much longer it would be. I asked if a small table could be added so everyone could sit comfortably. She eventually brought one over, but did so with a visible attitude, dropped it off without saying a word, and walked away. The service delays continued throughout the evening. Six people in our party ordered chili, and every bowl arrived completely cold. We notified our waiter, the food runner, and even the hostess, yet nothing was done to address the issue. Most of us simply chose not to eat it. After that, we waited another hour and 15 minutes for our meals. When the food finally arrived, three steaks were undercooked. To make matters worse, my brother became sick after eating and is still dealing with it days later. What was especially frustrating was watching another large party arrive after us, get seated in a larger section that I had specifically asked about, and receive their appetizers and meals before our table--even though we had been there about 20 minutes longer. I've visited this Texas Roadhouse location many times over the years and have never had an experience like this. Between the excessive wait times, cold food, undercooked meals, poor communication, and unprofessional management, this was by far the worst visit I've ever had. Very disappointing. read more

Got on the waitlist before we arrived, which worked out perfectly because we were seated right away. We started with the bread and cinnamon butter -- really good, and the buns were huge. For my main, I got the California chicken with fries and veggies on the side. The fries had great flavoring, and the chicken was really good and flavorful too. We always love TRH yet we don't ever leave a review but today we will! Last night we went in to redeem my birthday app and we enjoyed our time like always! My hubs got a burger for the first time ever and it was pleasantly juicy and tasty and the cook was on point! I got the lil steak bites and they were so good but they always are good. This place cracks me up. We had skipped lunch this day that we visited on a Thursday and opted to have an early dinner. Knowing that Texas Roadhouse has an early dining menu we popped in around 4:15 PM. There was already a 20 to 30 minute wait when we arrived. There were many guests sitting in the entry area as well as the outdoor mister area. Unfortunately, we weren't seated till after 5 PM, so we are unable to take part in that special early dining experience, which is not a big deal. But I'm actually shocked at how many people were there as the restaurant was full. We opted to order the sirloin and barbecue rib combo as well as another sirloin. Both had baked potatoes. We did not have any starters this visit. Our server, I wish I could remember her name, she was about 5'5" with long dark hair. I want to say Shelby, but I don't think that's right. She was very professional and friendly and cheerful when she came to the table. The meal tasted great as usual. One of the steaks was a little cooked under done. It was more medium rare than medium. We didn't send it back as we knew we would reheat it later that evening. As always, the rolls were fantastic. Our favorite part honestly has to be the garden salad. Was hesitant to come give the poor reviews but my son and I had a great experience. Maybe because it was Saturday, the A team was working, but the food was cooked well and the service was quick. The only downside was I didn't know smothered was an add on you had to pay for as the waitress asked if I wanted it without telling me the money part. This was my second time at a Tx roadhouse. Food was terrible, over salted and barely warm, u can see the so melted cheese on a burger.. hard rock fries (Xavier did mentioned that he will bring another basket of fries since even he noticed the sad state of them) shrimp were murdered twice, rice was left to overcook and be served somehow... salad was great (the only thing I ate and no complaints.... Came here for dinner on a Sunday with my fiance. This place has been always busy. The food here is good they make it just rite, the steak rib eye was very good. The waiter Andrew made a better customer service, and he was nice and helpful. The service, the only complaint I have is when they ask me how many people I said 2 then they told me it would be a 10 to 20 minutes wait, then the girl came and took the other 2 people was behind me in first, I addressed that to the person at the desk that we were here first, she didnt apologize and was rude about it. I of course wasnt happy cause we were here first and I told her , she did not apologize she just say , once the girl come back will take us to be sitted. Things were going well until I found a piece of plastic in my grilled onions and the waiter tried to gaslight me into thinking it was the onion skin. I've been cooking with onions for well over 25 years and have encountered many different types. I know the difference between plastic and onion skin. I brought it to the waiter's attention so that no one else would have this issue. However, she decided to take the plastic and show the chef then come back to tell me it was onion skin and she would remove the grilled onions off of my bill. In the restaurant the chicken strips ,chicken critters' as they call them, are usually plump, juicy and FRESH. My last take out order of 'chicken critters' were dry and looked and tasted as if they had been recooked at least twice. They also appeared to be the rejects of what they would serve to dine-in customers. There was one halfway decent size and the rest were less than two inches in length. Came in for lunch today, we've been to this location various times service and food is always good but today the service was exceptional thanks to Woody, this man was hustling to make sure w egad refills on drinks, bread and was table checking so frequently that we felt as though we were vip. Today I came in to eat with my parents who are out of town. I go to this one at-least once a week. We got there and did the text thing. As soon as we got the text to come in. The three young girls at the front were very rude to my family and I. As we were waiting inside, the girls told us we had to wait outside in the 110 degree weather. Which I don't understand and it was very mean for my parents who are almost 70. My poor dad couldn't stand the heat, we came back in and the three young girls at the front were whispering and talking crap about us because we didn't stay in the heat. I have NEVER experienced since rude customer service there before and it's making me think I need to start going to the one on bell. So my family took me out for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. Just a few minute wait for a table. When we sat down and the server came to get our drink order, I mentioned receiving an email regarding getting a free cactus blossom for my birthday. He said okay and asked to see it which I showed him and he didn't even wish me a happy birthday. A bit rude, but whatever. I'm a grown up but my family decided that this was the place they wanted to celebrate it at so it could have at least be acknowledged. So it's Thursday and the place is packed ?? Surprised ?? So ordered the 20 oz steak cause they don't normally over cook the bigger steak. This time it was super under cooked. Had to send it back. I have one pet peeve. I like to eat with the family. So told the manager I wasn't happy cause now I have to eat later while everyone one else eats. The best she could do for this inconvenience was give me a 10 dollar credit ?? I'm not cheap but if you mess up the meal , my personal opinion is you shouldn't pay for it. I ordered Chicken Critters with seasoned rice and green beans. My husband ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, one daughter ordered Chicken Critters with fries and broccoli and the birthday girl got a Cheeseburger. The burgers came with fries and toppings on the side. We went to Texas Roadhouse last night and it was busy but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a party of 5! The food came out decently fast and the portions were huge!! What made this dinner over the top though was our server Suzanne. She constantly made sure we were doing okay and I never had an empty water or soda cup without us even having to ask. Wife and I used to come here almost once a week until I had to refuse TWO ribeye's in one visit. That was about 6 months ago. Both were like shoe leather. Now the help there had always been awesome, tonight was different. Don't even know my server's name. Let's call her whisper. after we ordered we never saw whisper again, as a matter of fact after I got up and got myself the cup and box for wifey's leftovers whisper showed up and began clearing our table,we were still drinking our drinks! BTW my steak was more fat and grissle than meat. my sweet potato was supposed to be butter and brown sugar i got a whole lot of sugar so much it was crunchy. Busy Friday night. Put our name on wait list to help get in Very loud once seated so hard to have conversations. We had the fried onions and the rattle snake bite appetizers which were ok. The bread rolls and cinnamon butter was our favorite. Our table had 314 ounce ribeye steaks. Two were medium, rare one was medium. Two of the steaks were buttery soft and easy to enjoy. One was too hard to cut and the marveling was more like sinewe. The one prime rib at our table was only average. We probably would choose a different steakhouse next time read more

What time will you come to this location, there's always something wrong. Last time the AC was out for the entire restaurant this time it's out for the front waiting area. When front desk was informed, they said it was on, but there is no air flow in that room with informed again they said they know and just to deal with it they have people sitting in that room for over 15 minutes when it's 100° outside when you get inside half the tables are empty so there's no sense in why they have people waiting in the heat instead of just seating them. read more

My wife and I each ordered an entrée with a loaded baked potato as a side. A loaded baked potatoes did not come with the entrée and the server, Valeria, was super nice about it. She said they had just opened and the potatoes had not been cooked completely. It was a good 15 minutes before the potatoes finally arrived. I spoke with the customer manager for this location, Kelly, and was very disappointed in the way that she managed this situation. She gave all kinds of excuses and was very curt with her answers. I could tell she was put out with me. I said that we were paying full price for a meal that did not need our expectations. I would've thought there would've been some way. She would've tried to do a service recovery on this. She was Kurt and rude and a disappointment and an embarrassment to the Texas Roadhouse franchise. She just kept saying to me. I'm trying to answer all your questions. But her answers were quite inadequate. My wife and I love Texas Roadhouse's and we have been to them many many times. This is the only time that this had occurred with this particular Roadhouse so trust me, we are not down on the franchise. I'm down on the customer manager and the way that she handled this. By the way, this is the first one star rating that I have ever given to a restaurant ever. If she would've said, I'm very very sorry about this, but I'm happy to comp a dessert for each of you. We would've been completely happy and satisfied. The tip would have more than covered the cost of the desserts. As it was, I could not justify leaving any tip whatsoever, which made me sad because Valeria is an excellent server, but I know that tips are often distributed among the staff. They have a sign up front that they are a training store, but from my experience, someone needs to come in and do some refresher training here. Full disclosure, I was a dining room manager for Texas Roadhouse for 5 years, so I look at this with different eyes, but the restaurant needs some TLC. As you can see in the pictures, they have a lot of booths with huge rips in them, as well as a lot of the tables are worn on the edges and need refinished. Our service was really lacking. We were told it was a 5-20 minute wait, which is a huge time frame, which was fine, as we got sat in around 8 minutes. The problem ended up being that our server took approximately 10 minutes to greet us, to the point that we had to get up and ask who our server was. After he took our order, we maybe saw him 1 more time. My water and my wife's tea remained empty most of the experience. Our appetizer, potato skins, came out excellent. The lunch was, just ok. My wife loved her filet salad, but my chicken tenders came out hard and overcooked and as you can see in the picture, the chili came out looking like it sat in the heat window for a long time... I suspect this was due to them bringing out the chili as an app and I asked that it come with my entree, which is what I told the server when he specifically asked that. My son ordered the kids tenders, I should have caught it when the server asked which 2 sides he wanted vs which 1 side, but the server rang in an adult tender. Turned out ok, since it gave us leftovers, but still, it is important the server listens. Normally a manager stops by the tables, but this time they did not. Overall, I will still come back, but this restaurant needs a lot of TLC and maybe a refreshing training with some of the staff on what makes their motto Legendary food, with Legendary service, because this was Legendary for the wrong reason. read more

Cold cup of chili, canned green beans that were gelatinous, and meat so salty it was inedible. Worst food I can remember eating in a long time. I can't for the life of me imagine why it's so busy. I got sick and threw up when I got home... at least I feel better now that your food isn't in my stomach anymore.
