I've given this location two chances, and both times have been an absolute mess. Today was the last straw. Not only was my order once again incorrect, but the staff seemed completely unprepared and unbothered. The manager didn't even know whether or not they had pickles or onions -- seriously? That's basic. To make matters worse, they were out of coleslaw, which was a key part of my order. I chose what I did for a reason. When you're paying for a meal, you expect to get what you ordered -- not excuses or confusion. I should have trusted the negative reviews and saved us the hassle of attempting to have dinner from Dickey's. We ordered food online for a 6:15 pickup. At 6:15 exactly while my husband is arriving I get a call that their fryer is broken and they offered us smoked chicken instead. I said we will just skip the chicken and take a refund for that portion. She responds she would let corporate know and they would contact me. This seems like a lot of work for us not getting food due to a mistake on their part. After waiting another 6 minutes they still did not bring out our food so I call back and they hadn't even started the rest of it. At this point I requested a full refund and we got food from somewhere else. Based on her response it sounds like we may have to dispute the charges with our bank. I ordered Christmas dinner for my family, including kids, two days in advance, planning to pick it up an hour before dinner to serve it warm. However, when I arrived at the pickup time, the restaurant informed me they were out of my XL Mac and Cheese order. They hadn't called, apologized, or offered a substitute. This was especially upsetting since part of my family is vegetarian, and Mac and Cheese was supposed to be their main dish. On top of that, the mashed potatoes with cheese in my order were half-empty, missing the cheese, and looked reused--almost like they had been eaten and repackaged. It was gross and unacceptable (see photo). I spent $40 on Mac and Cheese I didn't receive and $27 on inedible potatoes. I still haven't been refunded for the missing items. The quality and service were extremely disappointing. This restaurant is not reliable. Please don't waste your money--there are much better options out there. The big surprise was getting overcharged more than 20% (before tax!) over the price advertised on their wall menus for our sandwiches (photos). DW said her sausage combo was OK, but my brisket combo was so loose (fatty) as to have had barely any brisket meat at all. No napkins, just rolls of brown paper towels back at the register. The rest room (a single unisex one-holer) had a towel roll balanced atop the empty dispenser and trash overflowing onto the floor. We are Dickies virgins but love bbq so after getting gas at Sam's Club we saws this Dickies and decided to take it for a test drive. I order the pulled pork platter and my wife ordered the brisket burnt end sandwich. The sides we ordered were the cabbage slaw and baked beans. Everything was very tasty and the beans were a perfect blend of sweet and just good ol' flavor. The meat was very flavorful, tender and the spicy bbq sauce was the best we have ever had. To have very decent bbq close to me is a positive thing... the flavors That come out of this bbq joint are on point. Every thing I have tried is very good. My only criticism is that I wish there were smoke rings in the brisket. I understand that's hard to accomplish but the other place I mentioned gets that done. Otherwise the brisket is tender and not too dry. It basically melts in your mouth hole. Also. The pulled pork is juicy and tender and delicious. I do wish however that both meats had a little more Smokey flavor. But... here's the kicker! Their sauces are outstanding! I wish they'd bottle it! Their sauces make everything on the menu awesome! Sides: I cannot get enough of their green beans. They're cooked with onion and bacon fat, just like my great grandmother used to do it and they're amazing. Cabbage slaw: like a grown up adult version of kfc. And I mean that in the best possible way. I am a huge fan of kfc coleslaw. And I'm a huge fan of these. Mac and cheese: very good. Very cheesy. I wouldn't mind a little jalapeño or green chile in them. But. That's why spicy bbq sauce! Cornbread: real good and also real sweet. Cornbread is something else I like jalapeños or green chiles in. But these are very good. Staff is very friendly. Place is clean. I haven't had the ribs yet. I'll get that next time and will update appropriately. So far, overall, I'd give 4 1/2 stars if I could. Was very disappointed. The quality has been going downhill for some time but now it's to the point I won't go back. The bakers which is all I get from there are pathetic. They used to come briming with cheese, Green Onions, sour cream and your choice of meat. Last week I ordered a baker with brisket. First of all they had no bakers. I wasn't informed of this until I got there to pick it up. When I asked for my money back she told me I had to request it on line. I still have not gotten a refund. My son thought he would surprise me for dinner. So he got me a potato with brisket The meat was not in any way brisket, maybe some kind of beef but certainly not brisket. It literally gagged me. There was no butter or onion or cheese. Just sour cream and the mystery meat I thought I would give it one last try. Got a baker with chicken. What could go wrong. Again there was no butter cheese or onions just some dried out chicken a d sour cream. Surprised we had not tried this place out yet. It's been open awhile now, but for whatever reason, we just hadn't been in the mood for BBQ, I guess? My mom was in town and we needed some takeout, so we finally decided to grab something from here. I placed an order online for a family pack with chopped brisket. Here are my thoughts on the items we got............... Chopped Brisket- This was pretty tasty! The family pack came with a pound of this, and a pound of chopped brisket is A LOT. It was diced up nice and small, almost shredded. Had a great smoke flavor, no fatty pieces etc. This mixed with their sauce, was pretty freaking grub! Smoked Chicken- Nice and moist, pretty tasty. Nice coating of pepper on the outside. 1/4lb is not much, but we were all able to have a few slices of it. Mac and Cheese- Only had a bite, but it was incredibly cheesy and tasted great. Reminded me of a Velveeta shells and cheese type macaroni. If you like that style, you will like this. Baked Beans- Only had a bite of these, too. They were just ok. They were a little runny (I prefer my baked beans thick and rich), but still didn't taste bad. Doubt I would get them again, or I would ask them to drain them first. BBQ Sauce- We got the Original sauce and it was fantastic! Just sweet enough, heavy tomato based type sauce. Reminded me and tasted just like this place we had in Santee, CA called KB's BBQ. Some of the best BBQ sauce I have ever had. I was very impressed with this sauce! The family pack also came with 4 rolls (didn't try any), some pickles and some raw white onion. Everyone in my family enjoyed the BBQ and we will get it again soon. There was enough to feed 3 adults and leftovers to make a few sandwiches with the remaining brisket the next day. SO it's super bowl Sunday and I put an order in online for smoked Turkey and 6 wings. When I get there the order is bagged up and sitting on a table. I pick it up and it feels awe fully light but I leave with it. I get home and open the chicken wings up and they were soooo small! Like all 6 combined wouldn't have made one chicken wing! Submitted order via DoorDash at 8:25 PM and the order was confirmed and being "prepared" then at 9:14 PM ( 45 mins after the order was placed and confirmed) an alert was sent saying the restaurant cancelled the order as the restaurant is closed. How was the restaurant closed when the order was submitted 30 mins prior to closing and confirmed? This was going to be our first time trying this place and after this we will never come back. The way the business handled this matter is trash! Very unprofessional, poor work ethic, and atrocious customer service. Never again!!!!
