Hangover Berger
Joan W.

The wings are very meaty and flavorful! I had their house fire's sauce, flavorful and medium spicy. My husband had the hangover Berger, made medium rare, as he ordered. Loved it!

Happy Hour Nachos. Not bad

This place is just getting better and better. My beautiful wife and I took a good friend here for dinner. The service was top notch as was the food! My wife had the Beachside Chicken, our friend had a Steak Burger, and I had the Fish n Chips. We all were extremely happy with our choices. Lex, our server made sure we wanted for nothing. Everything seems to be clicking here these days. Highly recommend!

Fried green tomatoes

The food is so good. The fried green tomatoes are a must try. The kids had the quesadillas and ate it all. I had the fried green tomatoes and a chicken wrap. Our server was Landon and he was awesome as well. There are lots of TVs to keep the kids preoccupied. Overall, it's a great place.

We've been here around 4-5 times so I'm not sure how I missed a review, but we came this Sunday afternoon a year away to give them another try after a horrible last visit where service was zero and food mediocre at best. First time here was great, but each time after has just gotten worse. Sunday we came without our kids and decided to sit at the bar and see if service was better. We opted for just chips and salsa and some beer. Bartender was nowhere close in sight for a few, but we quickly realized he was running to the kitchen etc at times to help out. They seemed understaffed. Once he saw us he was good and we had everything fairly fast. Beer options weren't great for me, but I like sours which they don't offer so closest was bottles Angry Orchard. Prices were fair, but I think we've just established this spot isn't for us. More of an elderly crowd and service slow. Two stars for today's visit. It's went downhill so much.

Flat wings and boneless

We went in for an early dinner. We had never been before. I got a very Florida vibe from the Devore. It was fun. Reminded me a little of margaritaville. Just a little!!! We were a little worried seeing only two tables we taken. We decided to say and try it anyway and I happy we don't did. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. At about 3:30 it started to fill up. Much to our surprise happy hour starts at 4 which included a wing deal. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. She made sure we had drinks and answered all the questions we had. I ordered wings all flats with a side of elote. The wings were great, the corn was good. I was a little shocked at the cost of the corn for the tiny dish I got. My husband ordered boneless wings and he also enjoyed his food. We will go back if we're in the area.

My friend got the white beans soup and was quite content with that. Went a second time with two friends for dinner but was disappointed there were no booths so it was hard to buffer the noise from a long table where there were squealing children so it was not a dining hour atmosphere like we were expecting wherein we could have quiet conversation and savor Mediterranean food since it felt like a lunch room, so we had to leave before ordering, but by golly, the menu looked very appealing. We would have sat outside which is a very pleasant area but it was too windy. This area eventually could be even better if enhanced with the wall fountain functioning, and maybe even a central cooling fountain added as well, along with plantings like cypress and dwarf palms to add to the ambiance. This place has the potential for being THE go-to oasis in Sun City and I can envision it being a regular spot to meet up with friends over cool minty drinks with or without a meal. What puts it above many outdoor dining areas around here is that it is set back enough from Bell Road so the traffic sound is not overwhelming and thankfully lacks that annoying "whoosh." May the oasis come to pass!

The bartender was friendly and attentive, and took our order quickly. By the time we arrived they had already sold out of the bone marrow small plate and the tomahawk steak. Totally understandable for the last seating of the night, but those were two of the dishes we were really looking forward to trying. The main reason for 1 less star. It's a cool little spot for drinks and a gourmet bite. The kitchen, bar, and seating area are fairly compact. Even though the kitchen is ventilated, you can still feel a bit of the heat and smoke coming off the grill. We ordered the grilled romaine salad (they do charge a small upcharge if you split plates), along with the bao buns and the wagyu meatballs. Everything was well presented, tasty. Overall, a great option for the west side if you're looking for elevated bar bites and good drinks. My tip: grab an earlier reservation if you can, so you have a better chance at the popular dishes before they sell out.

The dining area was not busy with just 3-4 tables occupied and a few people at the barstools. I was seated quickly by a hostess and given two menus while waiting for my friend to arrive. Menu: it's about the size of a Sears Catalog (exaggeration but about 8+ pages front and back) and appears to serve food approved by the United Nations (food from different parts of the world). This is the type of menu Gordon Ramsey would go crazy over and shred to pieces. Portions are not larger than before but prices increased considerably! Food: I ordered a Veggie Omelette with Spinach added and Whole Wheat Toast, decaf coffee, and water. My friend ordered an all-meat skillet, sourdough toast, coffee, and water. The omelette/skillet was overcooked and dry. My friend sent back his toast because it was served with a MOLD SPOT on it. Our server was not swayed by the mold and replaced it. No apologies or contact from the managers. By this point, we just didn't want to finish what we ordered and left. Dining room is well lit and spacious. Lots of available seating but could not help that their "Grand Opening" sign has been hanging outside for WEEKS. Servers are slow and never seem to be pleasant (more melancholy). Overheard one server speaking with some guests at a table using profanity. This review was based on my individual experience. This used to be our favorite breakfast spot but clearly is no longer the case. Having watched the gradual decline in quality and service, I am no longer inspired to spend my money at AZ Diner.

The majority of the employees (the servers, at least) are 25 and under. Plus, this place gives off Greek restaurant vibes, like the kind where you can get a gyro, spaghetti, or chow mein all in the same place: jack of all, master of none. You think it's all going to be tasteless food, but you would be oh so wrong. Mom and dad (80+, but with it) ordered liver and onions, I got an open faced turkey sandwich, and hubs got country fried sirloin. Everyone agreed that their food was delicious. I can't speak to the others, but for me, the turkey was moist, not dry, and the gravy (which they drenched over my turkey without asking, thank you very much) had really good seasoning to it...not overly peppery like at most places. The mashed potatoes were soft, not chunky, my side of corn was very buttery and NOT served in a bowl of corn water, and my cranberries were from a can (THE BEST KIND, and yes I WILL FIGHT YOU on this). We all ordered pie for dessert and I should have went with everyone else and gotten Key Lime, but I chose cherry. It wasn't the greatest of flavor as, even though there were real cherries in it, it was predominantly cherry flavored goo. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, and I would come here again. But only with my parents, because I think hubs and I were the only people under 60, lol. 10/2026
