We have gone to the Long horn in Temecula CA several times and always had quality service. However on 24 July 2026 that quality service was NOT THERE. My wife and I both ordered the Long Horn Porterhouse, bake potato and steam asparagus. We wanted our steaks cooked medium well. The asparagus looked like shoe strings and your could not even chew them. The steaks were under cooked and we ask them to take the steaks back and cook like we wanted. We also asked to have the asparagus taken back and give us steam broccoli as a replacement. When they brought my wife's steak back it still was not cooked right. They also charged me for both steamed broccoli which is a normal side. The quality of the ASPARAGUS was not very good at all and should not even have been offered as a side. We might have to think twice before we come back. read more

You are better off going to Black Angus across the street. We were a party of 4 celebrating two birthdays. Our server, Kiki, was great! The food and not so great. I wish we had a Longhorn in San Diego! Their lunch specials is such a bargain with prices from $10.99 to $12.99 with 4 choices for main and a side or salad. Or salad and/or soup combo for $10.49. Each table gets complimentary mini loaf of bread and butter. The best! Had to reframe myself to save my belly for the main course. We ordered a plate of seasoned steakhouse wings. These Buffalo wings were tangy and crispy. Skin thinly crisp. I think they did the two step process of baked then fried. Then we got the Parmesan crusted spinach dip that came with flatbread pita. It would have been better with chips. The dip was too salty for me but it was a hit among the teens. For mains, I got cheeseburger with Brussels sprouts. This is my second time coming to this Longhorn location. Last time every person at my table had their steaks come out overcooked. I thought maybe it was because there were 5 or 6 of us, and they were a little busy. This time it was just me. My steak was cooked correctly, but it was very tough. It's super disappointing to me too, because this was my favorite steakhouse when I lived in Oklahoma. This location just isn't good for steak. Also, the service was extremely slow on a weekday at lunch time. There was one waitress serving the whole main part of the dining area and outside. It was too much for just her to handle alone. I definitely got thirsty waiting on my drink to get refilled. The main reason I came was for my free birthday dessert though. That was the one thing that didn't disappoint. Updated review: Food is okay. Service is good. The atmosphere has dim lighting but is decorated very western. We had a strawberry salad with a sweet potato side as well as the cheeseburger lunch with baked potato as a side. The strawberry salad was good. For the price of the salad the portion was quite small. I asked for no butter on my sweet potato and to have the butter on the side. They had put the butter on the sweet potato and then took it off the sweet potato and put in a bowl so the potato came with some butter already on it. The sweet potato was extremely overdone and mushy. It was not enjoyable at all. The cheeseburger was ordered cooked medium and came out as medium rare to rare. It had to be sent back and a new burger had to be brought out. The food was good and longhorn is a place you can go to have a quick lunch. Have been eating at Longhorn for years when we travel and it has never disappointed. We were happy when they came to California and opened a location in Temecula near our home. For the 1st couple of years the food was up to the Longhorn standards that we always enjoyed. I don't know what happened but our last 2 visits the food was substandard. The appetizer was cold. The sauce on the chopped steak had a film over it and both the baked potato and sweet potato were hard and cold both visits. If anything the kitchen used to be heavy handed with seasoning, now the food is bland. I understand this can happen once but it has happened our last two visits. Also the restaurant is just not that busy anymore so I don't think it was just our meal. read more

Very disappointing experience at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Temecula on Father's Day. My family of eight arrived at 11:00 AM to avoid the rush, and there were still plenty of open tables, including larger tables suitable for big parties. Despite telling the staff we had eight adults, we were seated at a table meant for six, with two extra chairs squeezed onto the ends. There was simply no way eight adults could comfortably fit. I spoke with the store manager and asked if we could be moved to a larger table, but she said that was all they could do. I understand it was Father's Day and the restaurant expected to be busy, but this seating arrangement was unreasonable. I've visited many LongHorn locations and have always had good experiences, but this was by far the worst. We ended up leaving and taking our business to Yard House instead. read more

I love this place, from the time you enter you are treated so well! We got here early 11:45, and I am so glad we did, because when we left that place was popping, with a line out the door (worth it). The waiters/waitresses are so friendly and funny! Drinks were never empty (thank you for that) and that's usually a problem for a large group of 13. I had never been here before and assumed it would be like black angus, or another chain steak house. Well that is not the case.... NOT THE CASE!!! This steak was better than the steak I had at flemmings. I could taste the char on my rare steak and that's what I like to see on a ribeye that's grilled rare! Baked potatoes are usually a disappointment, their either day old warm ups or just overcooked and you see the discoloration near the skin, NOT THESE ONES, these are beautifully coated in a olive oil and salt, then baked to perfection. The insides are soft and fluffy, and don't leave the skins, they're equally tasty. You get two sides, don't waste it on a salad, get their chili, it is outstanding! So packed with meat and bold flavors like a real Texas chili NO BEANS!!! You can't go wrong with anything in this restaurant. The appetizers came out and were outstanding (which is always my indication in finding out whether the main course will be good or not) For my main course I personally had myself a New York Strip steak that was off the wall Plenty of people use A1 sauce for their steak but you know the steak is done right when you don't need anything but the juices that come out of that steak! The sides I ordered were mashed potatoes and asparagus - both seasoned well. The service was outstanding and the ambiance reminded me of being invited to someone's tight and cozy house.
