Baby back bbq ribs and Rib eye steak meal

Food is always good and so is the service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Friday night for dinner and it was the best choice since it was not busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant interior is really great. Big and open while still somehow feeling homey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A small area of bar seating along with some hightop tables right near the entrance and a mix of booth and table seating in the rest of this large restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated in a booth with menus by the host/ess and our waiter was over in a couple of minutes to take a drink order. Service was very good. Our waiter attentive checking in a few times and refilling waters. Our meals arrived in a good amount of time (as in not too fast or slow) and were cooked as ordered. Everything was tasty and fresh. I like the warm bread they bring to the table at the beginning too. Definitely a good stop for us.

Not usually a fan of chain restaurants. Seems like a reverse Outback Steakhouse. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decorated in a western motif.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are pretty generic. Tried a red sangria, it was more ice than drink. The bread is served similar again to Outback. Did not try the bloomin onion version they offer. Tried the stuffed mushrooms, basically cheese stuffed. I love mushrooms with anything stuffed in them. Had a surf and turf with the rice. Grilled shrimp skewers with a 7oz steak. Opened up with the potato soup and Caesar salad. 1 step above a Chilli's. The other meal was the Steak tips with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Cooked medium. Credit to getting the temperature right. Overall a little pricey for a chain. Attentive service, plenty of available parking. If you're in the area worth visiting.

Wild West shrimp. This is only a third of the size

Had lunch Saturday 9/20/25 at the bar. We were greeted very warmly by the bartender Becky. She was awesome throughout our entire meal. We started with the Wild West shrimp-it was incredibly flavorful, crunchy and just delicious. Huge portion! We both had a lunch special. I ordered the crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Crunchy, flavorful and it had lettuce tomato, pickle, and onion on it! My husband had the burger special and he said it was awesome. Both lunch specials come with a choice of soup, salad, or a side. Can't stress enough how friendly, professional and efficient Becky was. We will definitely be back!

We walked in and sat down right away at 3:15. We had some French onion soup fresh baked bread Awesome! Drinks came out in 5 they were delicious. Fruit berry margaritas, delicious! I had T-bone steak and a huge chicken salad. The waitress was quick fast n friendly. Prices were reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was quiet and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pecan cheesecake! I'll be back

Have not enjoyed the delicious filet that Longhorn serves since Covid when we had to order take-out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Little did I know that the interior is quite lovely as the last time that I ate inside there was prior to their remodeling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was determined based on my request and we were pleased that it was honored.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a table that allowed us a quiet area to talk, away from a couple of large parties[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our waitress, Michelle, with her pleasant personality definitely aimed to please our every need. We each ordered the 6 ounce filet as our protein. One of us ordered the overstuffed bake potato and the other ordered the steamed broccoli and shared those sides, after enjoying the house salads. It was such a great meal. And then, even though we were satiated, we shared the chocolate molten lava cake which was delightfully scrumptious: Rich, dark chocolate cake with a warm, molten fudge center, served with vanilla bean ice cream and finished with chocolate and caramel sauce. It could not have been "sweeter!" And the waitstaff and hostesses also met that criteria!!

    my 31 dollar steak
    Kris W.

This was the first time we were here, and it will be the last time. I had a 31 dollar steak, it was tough it was supposed to come with two sides. I had brusell sprouts and broccoli. they managed to burn the brussel sprouts. the broccoli was not the best i ever had. My dad and i each had a beer. the beer was the best part of the meal.. i forgot to mention, the two side which were supposed to come with the meal . they charged me for one of them. probably the burnt brussel sprouts. They charged my dad, who had a hamburger steak an extra 3 bucks as well for a add on for his side dish, a asparagus that was too tough to chew. The meal came to $61.50 overpriced for what they served.

Great and quick service. Food is 100% worth the price. Steaks are always great. One of the best chain restaurants around.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

Our waitress was very nice and patient with us while we took awhile to order. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend got the ceasar wrap. The fries were great, sandwiches were also really good! Would like to come back and get one of their main dishes as they all sounded pretty good. We got the bread pudding for dessert (sorry forgot the photo) but that was really good!! Would get again.

The Good: Outstanding Hospitality: The older owner/manager is absolute gold. He takes the time to check on every single table and every patron sitting at the bar. He makes you feel genuinely valued and reminds you why supporting local business is worth every penny. Bar Staff Top-Tier: The older gentleman behind the bar is phenomenal. No matter how packed the bar gets, he is on top of his game--attentive, friendly, and never forgets about a customer. Where It Falls Short: Inconsistent Management: Unfortunately, the experience drops when the other manager is on shift. He seems to selectively check in on "business diners" or patrons who look high-end, while ignoring regulars in standard work attire grabbing lunch at the bar. It's pretty disheartening to sit right there as a loyal customer and be overlooked. Bar Service Disparity: The female bartender is fine, but service drops off significantly with her--long stretches without check-ins, and rarely a follow-up to ask if the food came out right. Overall: I truly love Iron Works and will keep coming back for the great food and my favorite staff members, but I really hope management works on bringing that warm, consistent attention to every guest on every shift--not just when certain people are working or for certain types of diners.

They really should tell you on the menu that the crab cake Benedict only comes with ONE (1) crab cake and poached egg. Sure, it's prettied up with some nice hollandaise sauce and a few micro-greens, but for $20 we all expected just a BIT more food. It didn't even have an English muffin, and the side of sautéed potatoes was less than a half cup - a toddler-sized serving. My son in law (who is a bodybuilder) daughter and I all ordered this, and were underwhelmed at the micro-serving. Ordered a side of toast (an extra $5) to try and fill us up. The traditional eggs Benedict ($18) at least came with 2, so a somewhat more normal-sized entree, although still small compared to most breakfast places. The waiter was very nice and the food was tasty; but so under-sized and over-priced I cannot leave more than 2 stars. We will not be back.
