Family owned and operated. Great cars available. Never had a problem with my car. Would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Tesla and specifically with Fredy. This has been one of the…read moremost frustrating, careless, disorganized, and unprofessional vehicle purchasing experiences we have ever dealt with, especially for a company of this size and reputation. We placed a deposit for a Cybertruck back in February after Fredy from Tesla assured us the process would be straightforward and that he would personally walk us through everything step by step. We made it very clear from the beginning that we were unfamiliar with Tesla's ordering and registration process and were relying on him as the sales advisor to properly guide us through it. What is especially frustrating is that before we placed the deposit, Fredy was constantly following up with us, responding quickly, and actively trying to secure the sale. The moment the deposit was collected, his level of service completely changed. Communication became inconsistent, follow through disappeared, and the entire experience suddenly felt careless and neglected. It honestly became one of the worst sales experiences we have dealt with. Fredy specifically told us that once we placed the deposit, everything was essentially set and that my dad would only need to be present at pickup. Based on those representations, we had absolutely no reason to believe there were still additional requirements or outstanding steps on our end. Now it is almost June, and after almost no meaningful communication or follow up, we suddenly found out there were supposedly still financing and profile steps that needed to be completed, something that was never clearly communicated to us beforehand. The only reason this was even brought up was because we escalated the issue and repeatedly demanded answers after being left completely in the dark. What makes this experience even worse is the complete lack of communication and professionalism after the deposit was collected. Calls were ignored repeatedly. Messages were left unanswered for days while clearly showing as "read." We constantly had to chase Fredy down just to get the most basic updates regarding a vehicle we already placed money down for months ago. At one point, Fredy even admitted that he made a mistake regarding the process and communication, but after acknowledging it, he disappeared again. Later, we were told he was on PTO, and even after that there was still no proper follow up or resolution provided to us. A customer should not have to beg for communication after placing a deposit on a vehicle. Delays are one thing. Being ghosted, ignored, and given constantly changing information after money has already been collected is another. At this point, it genuinely feels like once the deposit was secured, customer service and follow through completely disappeared. The salesman at Tesla simply took our deposit, and at this point we still do not even know if we are getting the car or not. Even now, calls continue to go unanswered while messages are clearly being read and ignored. That level of disregard toward paying customers is completely unacceptable. Montebello Tesla does not even have a direct phone number publicly listed, so Fredy is essentially our only point of contact, yet he continues ignoring calls and messages instead of properly communicating with us. Fredy, are we getting the car or not? We have been waiting since February and still cannot get a straightforward answer.

Most of the staff here were friendly, but my experience with two employees - Tessa (short hair) and…read moreFred(with a big beard)was extremely disappointing. Tessa ignored me completely because I was not the person purchasing the car. I spoke to her several times and she pretended not to hear me. When I asked to speak with a manager, she brought over Fred, who immediately dismissed my concerns without even listening to my side of the story. Fred also said he would only speak to the buyer and made comments that made me feel disrespected and discriminated against. Every time we visited, Fred would sit there watching us without greeting or assisting us. We always had to walk up to his desk, and his responses were cold and unwilling. There was no sense of customer service or respect. What makes this more disappointing is that I had just purchased a car here last week and already referred two friends to this location because I previously had a good impression of the store with other staffs. After this experience, however, I no longer feel welcome here. As long as these two staffs continue treating customers this way, neither I nor my friends will return.

There was no haggling over the price, nor did we spend long hours at the dealership; the process was fast, smooth, and easy. Our salesperson, Monica, displayed remarkable patience and understanding throughout. She quickly identified the exact trim level and color we were looking for and made it happen! Her extensive knowledge of the vehicle was impressive, which significantly aided us in making the best choice. This level of service is what every customer should expect. TL DR, "Ivan" was extremely rude and a sleazy salesman that endangers his clients. Do not buy the…read morered Mazda Protege5 that is for sale (or rather any car that is for sale here) To my credibility, this is not the first Mazda Protoge5 that I have owned, I have done top to bottom maintenance on this kind of car and am not naive nor a novice to this vehicle. That being said, I will detail the pre-test drive issues I found with the car. For starters the glove box handle was broken. Just straight up missing. When I asked how do I open the glove box, "Ivan," said "here let me open it for you." He then proceeded to finger the broken glove box, prying at it to open, where he never got it open, and then just moved on. The roof rack trim is cracked, and on this kind of car this can result in water leaking into the cabin and causing mold to build up. Before the test drive I turned on the ac to test its functionality. The belt that drives the ac let out a loud squealing. I asked him "So whats up with that" and he remarked "its just because you just turned on the ac, it will go away." During my test drive I noticed that the seat belt light does not shut off despite all passengers wearing their seatbelts, I don't even begin to know why. Another problem I noticed is that the shifter linkage needs rebuilding, the shifter is "floppy" and does not return to neutral, you can literally throw it side to side and it will stay there. The two major problems with this car are ones that I consider dangers to the client. The clutch is almost gone in this car. The clutch is "all the way to the floor" meaning the diaphragm spring in said clutch is wearing out. I asked him when the clutch was replaced, he responded that he did not know, this means it is probably still the original 150k mile clutch. The most dangerous of them all is the brakes. I notice that when braking, all of the linkage and body of the car shakes, this means the rotors are warped or severely worn down. This is an EXTREME safety hazard. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. When I asked him when the brakes were last replaced he claimed that his shop had replaced them. I asked "the pads and rotors, or just the pads" he said "both." Intentionally lying and risking the safety of the client. What bothered me extremely is that when I asked to test drive the vehicle "Ivan" said "look man, I am busy, the price of 5000 is firm if you aren't going to pay full price don't even bother wasting my time" (The audacity of this dude I swear). I drove an hour to purchase the vehicle, and after being extremely mislead, this "Ivan" was not even willing to negotiate. Overall, in my experience with this "Ivan" and the Active Auto Group was not only disrespectful, but downright criminal. Do not even consider buying a car from here. As similar to the other individuals leaving reviews, I was blocked shortly after leaving his lot. This is in an attempt to prevent negative reviews on his Marketplace account that would hurt his pr. I know this "Ivan" will probably respond with some cookie cutter pr rebuttal trying to devalue or dismiss my review. That is because he only cares about making a quick buck at the expense of the safety of his client. Do not be mislead, do not buy a car, do not waste your time, do not risk your life. Also suspicious that on Yelp the name of this location is "Forza" instead of the actual name of "Active Auto Group."
