When checking in using the machine outside of the door, it warns us that we could wait up to 2 hours! Cool that's fine. I don't have any where else to be. 2 people were ahead of me, as they should be seen first. I'll sit here and wait in line, no problem. But what I don't like is when the NP decides to let 2 people go ahead of me! They were getting FLU SHOTS! I'm really upset! I don't care if it's a flu shot, getting a temperature, or checking a BP! At my most recent visit to Pearlridge Longs, I was very impressed with Viola. As I was shopping, I saw her stocking products then she was seemed to ask a lead something then saw her carting product to the floor. She was my cashier when I was done shopping. She helped the person in front of me to use her coupons (even getting one from a flyer). When it was my turn she suggested if I spent just a little more I could get the best value with my coupon. Her attitude and experience is impressive. It was refreshing as it has been a while since I have experienced such great service from anywhere. read more

Be aware that no registers are open from 7-8am except for self checkout. You can request that they open a register IF they are not busy and you can wait. So if you are planning on buying a lot of stuff wait till after 8 because you will only have the self checkout space and every item bought will have to go on the small counter. read more

Long's Drugstore located on the ground level of Pearlridge Downtown. People can enter the store from the parking lot or from the shopping center. I normally enter from the shopping center entrance. After entering the store there's the cosmetics on the left-hand side and the registers as well as Coke refrigerator straight ahead. My most recent visit to the Long's at Pearlridge was to accompany my mother to the pharmacy. My mom also decided to pick up some 2017 calendars. I spotted some HP ink cartridge which reminded me that I need new ink cartridge for my home printer. I also spotted some watches in case my current watch ever malfunctions in the future. Can't forget to get the ExtraCare card scanned at the checkout counter in order to get some future discounts at Long's. "Make Longs a part of your day..." is a jingle that pops up in the minds of most locals even though CVS Caremark acquired the Longs Drugs Corporation back in 2008. Fortunately, CVS Caremark kept the Longs name in Hawaii since there is so much consumer and employee loyalty. We have been coming to this Longs for many years since it is very convenient. There is usually plenty of parking but sometimes gets crowded with movie goers because there are movie theaters in the Downtown phase of Pearlridge Shopping Center. The store staff is generally very helpful and friendly and keep their shelves usually well-stocked. There has been more integration of CVS products or generics into the inventory. I was going to knock off a star for the pharmacy but within recent months, they have improved their services by adding more pharmacy staff or cashiers so now, there is less waiting in line for prescription pick up. If you have merchandise other than pharmaceuticals, you can pay for everything at the pharmacy. For our drugstore needs or pharmaceuticals, we gladly come to Longs. read more

I like this Longs/CVS for its convenient location. Located in Pearlridge Mall in the same side as Sears, it is a good size store stocked with all your personal needs. I really like the new couponing system they have with cvs. Although you do not get the same deals and bargains that the mainland stores have, you do get a 2% rebate every three months if you participate in the cvs cares program. Sign up for beauty and pharmacy rewards and you add in more savings. If you love to coupon, you can "stack" sale items and cvs coupons on top of the manufacturer coupons found online or in newspapers. Sometimes you can get free items that way too. The cashiers do look at the coupons very carefully. The stores do have items that go on sale in cycles. For example, tide laundry soap goes on sale for 5.99 about once a month and then goes on sale again a few weeks after that. Same for Dawn soap, Ivory soap, cream of mushroom soup and frito lay chips. The pharmacy is very convenient. I have all my doctors call in or fax my prescriptions here and I zip down to pick them up. My insurance company participates with them so my copayments are small. They also have a text message system in place if you drop off your prescription. You can go shopping in the mall while your script is being filled and when it's ready you get a text message on your phone. Workers can be hard to find sometimes if the store is busy and they pull the floor workers to cash out customers in line, but they are very friendly and willing to help you find items. Parking can be a challenge since they are on the bottom floor and is next to the only parking on that side that is covered. read more

So disappointed don't recommend for anyone to get their COVID testing done here. We had 3 COVID scheduled appointment for 430, 445 and 5 pm. Got way too many merry go rounds all around and it's 3 minutes to 5pm. Seriously if it is a scheduled time they need to be more on point in it because we have other obligations to attend to as well or at least someone should contain patients to let them know of any lateness or changes or delays or whatever. I would not even give them a 1 star it should be -10 stars. Very poorly managed. read more

This Longs is located in Pearlridge. It is a very convenient location. They have a wide variety of products but when an item is out of stock, it takes a long time to finally come back in. I don't know Longs's system on how they get their store replenished but this location especially I notice that being in stock is a problem. I notice this especially in the pharmacy area whenever I am looking for allergy or cold medicine. This location is not 24 hours but does open earlier at 7am which is earlier than the stores in the mall. Definitely a plus. They do need more cashiers and their pharmacy line is just plain ridiculous. The pharmacy is quite slow. I don't know if the pharmacists are inundated with prescriptions or it just takes that long to fill a prescription but whatever the case, be prepared to wait. I love the Longs ad. They often bring is different products for their ad and have them staged in the middle aisles of the store. When on sale, the prices are great bargains. My favorite thing to buy here is candy and snacks. They have a great variety. sure to get an extra care CVS card. Its free and you can register online. Its their loyalty program. Absolutely the worst experience today. Longs, now CVS, is not the same store from my childhood. Xmas gift bags were all piled together although pricing and discount terms were different. Very messy! Cashier was not very nice. She told me I could not use the $2 off coupon because I was paying with a gift card. Then, I got charged $2 extra because of their system of manually choosing to override the round up for donation process. Too much red tape, too many coupons, too many rules. Other times I found out I could not use the discount coupon because of item exclusions. On another visit I was charged the regular price for a sale item because the item was tagged incorrectly. Pearl City longs sucks. I needed to speak to 4 people to find motion sickness Sea Bands, first one spoke broken English and kept acting like I was calling for the first time when I waited for her for over 4 minutes to check if they had sea bands. A guy then answers saying they have, when I asked for 4, he said hold on, waited another 3 minutes (yes, I do start my timer when I know these people are playing games with me) he came back on phone and says "no more". I told him you said you had, he raises his voice and tells me he said no more. Then what the heck did you check on when I said I needed 4? Same goes for Pearlridge Longs, please somebody make it a requirement to speak English and if a customer needs help translating, then put that person on the phone. I had my inhaler refilled at Longs Drugs Pearlridge. The person that was helping me, Audrey was super helpful. She told me there was a coupon availabe and asked if i could wait about 15 minutes. I went back to my car to wait and went back in. She saw me in line and called me over. The coupon went through and my co-pay was 0! Thank you Audrey so much. You saved me $75. I've been a frequent/regular customer at this location for many years. However, a recent incident that took place on the morning of Thursday, July 11, 2019 has left me shocked & in disbelief. I was standing in line at a checkout w/ two other customers ahead of me. The cashier announced over the intercom that she needed assistance w/ an override, but no one came. She again requested for assistance, but still no one responded. I grew anticipated as my daughter & I needed to be somewhere. So I quickly looked around to see if anyone was coming to assist, but I seen no one. So I boldly hollard "override at checkout 9" & within moments I seen an employee (man) walking over. As per his name tag, this employees name is Richard B. I later found out that Richard B. is a shift supervisor. When Richard B. walked over I anticipated he'd quickly take care of the override. However, this was not the case. Instead, Richard B. walked over to me as I stood in line. He was much more concerned w/ questioning & dictating as to why I hollered for assistance. I quickly explained to Richard B. that due to the cashier's request for assistance & lack of an efficient response, this caused an unnecessary delay & inconvenience to myself & to other customers in line. But Richard B. refused to understand my point. Instead of remaining professional & prioritizing customer service by completing the override he instead chose to be confrontational & argumentative thus making myself & the other customers in line continue to wait even longer. I repeatedly asked Richard B. to walk away from me & to stop talking to me. And I asked him to take care of the override. But Richard B. didn't listen & he continued w/ his argumentative rant. Due his argumentative behavior, this caused my daughter (who was standing nearby) to become stressed & anxious. I could tell that this whole ordeal had triggered her Anxiety. She was very upset as she abruptly scolded Richard B. & told him not to argue w/ a customer. Richard B. then walked over to my daughter & began to confront & argue w/ her. I was in complete shock. He stood so close/ within inches of my daughter & then he leaned in towards her face as he questioned & taunted her. My daughter immediately backed away from Richard B. as she repeatedly told him to get away from her & to get out of her face. Richard B.'s demeanor was argumentative w/ an intimidating/taunting intent. And what's even more disturbing is that he laughed and smiled the entire time as though all of this was entertaining to him. Because I was concerned about Richard B.'s behavior I began to record via my phone for safety & documentary purposes. My daughter was so overwhelmed to the point she yelled at Richard B. & recited the same thing "Get out of my face. Get away from me. You don't argue w/ a customer". Richard B. told my daughter to get out of the store & he asked the cashier to call for security. He then walked back over to me as I stood in line and he told me to stop talking to him and for me to leave him alone. I was in disbelief that he was now trying to blame me for his actions. I made it clear to Richard B. that it was he who walked over to me as I stood in line. And that instead of remaining professional he provoked an argument w/ a customer. I then left the store. And everything I had planned to purchase I left at the register. Moments later my daughter & I heard someone talking to us from behind. I turned around to see that Richard B. had followed us all the way out to the store. He questioned us as to whether we payed for things we took from the store. But I had left everything at the register & if he payed attention he would've noticed this. I was completely shocked and disgusted as he was now harassing us. We continued to walk away and he then went back into the store. In short, Richard B. made it his priority to question, dictate and argue w/ a customer rather than remain professional. He further overstepped his boundaries by getting into the face of a customer (a minor). And when he was asked/ told to stop and walk way he refused to listen & he continued to taunt and argue. And when we left the store he followed and harassed us. read more

I went to this Long's to pick up my mother's prescriptions on Thursday, May 14, in the afternoon. I thought I might just look around the store and I saw the haole male manager wearing a mask, but with the mask pulled BELOW is nose! Gee, I must be wearing a mask wrongly! Didn't know that the mask should come with instructions. If a drug store manager can wear his mask pulled below his nose, then so can I, right? WRONG! The employees of this store should protest and tell him to wear the mask pulled over his nose, or they won't come in. And Long's top management should be monitoring their stores that managers, employees, and customers obey the mask and physical distancing rules. read more

Just got back from longs this morning and as usual went to pick up a couple of items on sale of course the same as usual no products available original Listerine and 5 pack of Sharpe markers so I went to longs in salt lake and lo and behold none available there also . What happened to longs are they going downhill after cvs took over . Even they self check outs don't work very well would rather use a regular cashier. I was obviously not feeling well and had asked the Minute Clinic if she could just simply take my blood pressure. I did not want to see a doctor, I simply just needed to see if my blood pressure was elevated. I got turned away. Said that I needed to schedule an appt. Although I don't care much for shopping at pearlridge, I really like this longs. If the employees see that you may be looking for something, they always ask if you need help. Most importantly, if you do need help locating an item and they don't have any on the shelf, they will actually check to see if they have more in the back. I love that they check so I don't have to run to another store...unlike Walmart employees famous lines are "no, we ran out" without bothering to look. If I didn't live all the way in Mililani, I'd definitely shop at this location a lot more. It's so sad to see that their average rating is only 3 stars. While not always the closest for me, I go to the Pearl Ridge Longs Drug due to their fast and friendly service....especially in the pharmacy. They had my last two prescriptions ready in under 15 minutes. Besides the service, you get covered parking...nice to have with all of the rain we've been getting lately! read more

I went there for a flu shot and it took forever to have it administered. The process is pretty dumb. I had to go to drop off to request the shot then I had to wait for the tech to put all my info in their system. I'm already an established customer so I don't know why I had to give my insurance cards again. After that I had to wait 15 min to have my name called. I then had to stand in line at pick up with the other customers who are waiting for their prescriptions! I do not recommend getting your flu shot here. I should have went to my physician office to get it. read more

Not much of an update but a confirmation... Pharmacy line moves as a snail's pace. It took me 30 minutes to pick up my prescription and this isn't the first time or the 10th time that I've had to wait. Since my last review, I moved completely over to Target but now CVS manages the Target Pharmacy. Omg I can't escape them. I've talked to a lot of other friends and even my counterparts and they all agree...they are slow. Come on Longs Drugs...come up with a better plan on how to get the line moving at the register. I would like to note that the staff are generally pretty. Ice at this location. But damn, management needs to come up with a better process because there so many other places I, along with the rest of Oahu would like to spend their time wasting at. read more

This review is for the pharmacy department. They are absolutely horrible. This is my third time in a row I have run into problems with them. I'd like to give people the benefit of the doubt but three times in a row I have had enough. I would receive an automated message notifying me my medicine was ready but when I got there it wasn't. My time is limited & it was a real inconvenience to keep coming back & calling my doctor's office to ask if they could "call in" the order again. Today was the icing on the cake as I spent 25 minutes on the phone waiting for an answer as to when my medicine would be ready. After 16 minutes on hold they told me they needed to order it & after 23 minutes they told me that the other location I had requested to pick it up from did not carry it. definitely will NOT be back here again! read more

Came here to get balloons for my aunties birthday. I was having one of those off days where I cant comprehend much and the ladies were NOT understanding. They were very rude and made me feel stupid. I mean, I was having one of those days and they just wouldnt let me get away with it. Most people just you know say "oh its one of those days huh?" and just make it seem like a normal act or help you laugh it off. These ladies just down right made me feel like crap. Im aware that this may be a single incident, but hey, first time I experienced people who didnt try to make feel normal or just laugh. Idk, maybe they were having a day too. Hopefully, if one of them ever had one of those days, I would hope someone would be forgiving to them. Oh well. I wouldn't normally write a review about quick stops like this, but it was awesome. The store is clean and everything was easy to find. However, when I went to check out the cashier and bagger was absolutely amazing. I wish I got the lady's name, but she was super friendly. She helped the older lady when she dropped her credit card and she was very sweet when she offered me a bag and wishing everyone happy holidays. It was really nice that someone was in great spirits. The voice recording when you call there is automated phone voice recording that is confusing and a slick delay tactic to NOT answer the phone -don't we have human contact anymore? Are we so busy that we cannot answer the public's question? Parking situation is horrendous; yes, the lot area is confusing and since this is on the bottom floor, those poles just makes the stalls awkward and tight. 2. It's kind of an older location...it def was not one that CVS decided to give a makeover when they took over Nonetheless, like most Longs, they still have the same sales and carry items that you can typically find here. I did notice that sometimes they don't seem to have a lot in stock...perhaps the turnover here is fast since it is a mall location. I took my elderly parents there, separately, for their flu, pneumonia and Shingrix shots and each employee we encountered went out of their way to accommodate us, despite being very, very busy. If you going for a flu shot, you may need to wait at least 45-60 minutes. The flu shot is not organized and it is chaotic when they have prescriptions to fill. That gets priority! The pharmacy is not organized and when they announce you name which is not clear, they don't reannounce it again. You can wait forever unless you wait in line again and ask them if they called your name. Complaining to the store manager is unless, Pharmacists are not good managers since they deal with pills not people! read more

The CVS aka as Long Drugs in Pearlridge their Customer Service SUCKS big time in the Pharmacy Department. They need to attend an in service on how to treat their customers, including the pharmacists behind the counters. Yes, they greet you with thank you for waiting, how can I help you? Except, it's with a BLANK face, with NO emotion or expression. And if you are an upset customer, when you leave they talk about you, lol, yes talk about you! You can hear them, including the pharmacist. Huge suggestion, at the pharmacy counters have a quality survey available to fill out and secure several "drop off" boxes within the store. Ultimately, the Pharmacy staff need to be accountable for their lack of customer service. Simply, with any business you want to develop a WIN, WIN situation between your customers and employees.
