I would not recommend this shop, especially if you own a diesel truck. I brought my 2005 Ford 6.0 Powerstroke in for repairs and was charged for replacing an up-pipe clamp. After the truck continued having the same P0299 underboost issue, I took it to another diesel shop for a second opinion. The second shop found that the up-pipe is cracked and the VGT turbo vanes are sticking. I also have photos showing that the clamp I was billed to have replaced appears untouched. Based on the invoice, the condition of the parts, and my photo evidence, I have serious concerns about whether the repair I paid for was actually completed. Beyond the repair itself, the customer service was very disappointing. Communication was poor, my concerns were not taken seriously, and I left without confidence that my truck had been properly diagnosed or repaired. After my experience, I do not believe this shop is equipped to accurately diagnose or repair more complex diesel issues like those found on a 6.0 Powerstroke. If you're considering bringing your diesel here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion, asking for before-and-after photos of any repairs, and requesting your old parts back. I wish I had done that before spending my money. read more

My truck caught on fire. I was 2+ hours away from home, my 5th gen Cummins was parked in front of my friend's house when smoke started pouring out of the hood. The known problem of the air exchange/heater relay problem with these engines had come to life, the known bolt that falls apart and blows your engine up didn't happen but it had come loose and arced enough to catch surrounding wires and foam insulation on fire. My first mistake was taking it to the local dealership where they quoted me a large amount of money and didn't not want to categorize it under warranty. Loomis Diesel was suggested by a friend, I had the truck towed there. While I was 2+ hrs away, they kept me in the loop about every step they were taking to repair my truck and work with my auto insurance. I honestly didn't have to do much but make a couple command decisions along the way. A month later my truck was repaired and improved, covered by insurance, and ready to come home. The communication with Loomis Diesel was perfection, the descriptive details of the project were simple enough for me to understand, the confidence that I had in Loomis Diesel was at 100% because of their communication and honesty. Although I am a good drive away from them, I will surely take my truck with any big problems/projects to Loomis Diesel. It's like finding a good barber, you"ll never change. read more

I bought a 1994 7.3 idi that was a basket case of issues. Blake helped me trouble shoot some of my issues over the phone. When I had an oil cooler go bad on it. Blake helped me out with getting the work done in a reasonable time frame. He did rebuild the oil cooler but noted that the oil cooler housing was looking like it was starting to flake apart (no new replacement parts available). Fast forward about a year and the oil cooler went out again. I called Blake asking him what I should do (I moved out of state). He reminded me that his work has a 2 year-24,000 mile warranty. He said I could take it to any participating Napa Service Centers and get the work done free of charge. Found a new shop that will do the work under warranty. Thank you Loomis Diesel for helping me solve a difficult problem and all of the other problems this truck has given me. Housing is getting replaced second time around. read more

Loomis diesel treated me very well! They were the only shop in a 50 mile radius that would even agree to work on my 09 6.4 powerstroke. The issue ended up being less intense than we anticipated and they were excellent communicating through that. The truck went on a 7 hour trip the day I got it back and did great. They have worked on my 99. They even worked on my 08 which is a gas truck. Diagnosed a problem on my 20 over the phone. Letting me know the problem so I could fix it myself as it was not safe to drive. They are friendly, helpful, quick and reasonably priced. I have a 21 f 250 6.7. Love this truck. But unfortunately it broke down. Don't hate. Anyways the CP4 pump went out. I called Blake to see what his opinion was and he went above and beyond. We actually live a couple blocks away and I was unable to drive my truck so he made personal time and came to me. Not only did he diagnose it within 5 min he also got me in his shop the next day! Ordered all the parts and got it done very fast! First test was hauling my camper 6 hours round trip up steep inclines and the truck ran perfect! All in all these guys rock! I have a 2007 Silverado Classic Duramaxx Diesel and have been hunting for a good trustworthy shop to do any repairs that come up and luckily, I was recommended to Loomis Diesel by a former employee of Blakes. I called and made an appointment, as I had numerous issues and the day that I was going to drive it in, I started it and it instantly died and I had to have it towed down to Loomis Diesel.The next day Blake got it started and went through what should be done to it and what it would cost to get repaired. I agreed to the estimate and Blake took care of it immeadiately. He drove it for 22 miles to put it through some good tests and was very thorough with the repairs. What I especially like about Blake and his wife Ashley is that they explain exactly what your options are and let You choose which way to go. They keep a clean shop and have a nioce corporate yard that locks up and is secure. What a great diesel shop! My only complaint is I wish I'd found them sooner. I wasted A LOT of money and 10 days in the shop at a diesel place in Rocklin off 65 trying to get a diagnosis to an idle problem. Blake dialed it in in no time and my LMM Duramax is back on the road.
