Few years ago I came in to use the restroom from a long road trip and this young Indian worker guy at the register followed me to the restroom but at that time I didn't think much of it since I thought maybe he needed something from the back room. The restroom is right by the back room so as I finished, I open the restroom door and to my surprise, he literally was facing in front of the bathroom door(where I was at) he kinda jumped and walk away while he had his eye on me wtf! I think he had his head against the door just to listen and hear what I'm doing inside the bathroom, disgusting! Gas station time! Let's go to the trusty default three star Yelp gas station review check list: Good price? It was a decent price compared to what I'm currently paying at home but it's a ripoff compared to what's available in the surrounding area. But, when you combine being very early in the morning so that some stations were not open and this one is right off 95, meh, I'll take the hit. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No, as everything was gas station clean and since it was so early there were no other cars around which made it perfect. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Check! On/Off 95 couldn't have been easier. Human intervention needed? Yes, as I was enticed to head inside for their 2/$3 energy drink sale. The inside of the store was beyond cold and the guy behind the security glass kept trying to ring each can up as $3 versus it being 2/$3. After a few tries we got it right as he apologized that he also worked at a different location that the same company owned and the other location is not currently having the same sale. Ok. Three star gas station bliss achieved, but just barely. read more

Lorton Shell - Roster Shot - Gas Stations Near Me - Lorton, Virginia

I've been coming to this location since 2004. But lately only for gas. State inspection line to the left of the gas pumps. Usually open around 7. Get there early, the line can get long. They do normal maintenance on cars. No collisions! Open till 2pm on Saturdays! Gas is a little pricier than other stations BUT it's right off 95 so it makes sense. They have a TV in the waiting room but only 3 or 4 people can be inside waiting at a time. Most places have free coffee they don't but its ok. If you want to get on 95 from there take the road to the SIDE rather than going back on the main road (Lorton road) because it takes you straight to 95 and it's safer. Lorton Road can get congested and people may not let you in the turning lane right away. No mercy on the roads of Lorton. read more

I give them a five star rating because of the way I was treated today. My wife did not like the frame around her license plates feeling that it made her car look cheap which is a reasonably new Lexus but the plate frame didn't look good. I thought I could very easily change the plates for her, but two of the screws I couldn't budge. I took her car over there today around 1230 afternoon and the manager was very friendly and nice and told me to have my wife bring her car around and he would take a quick look to see if it was repairable without needing to drill out any of the screws or anything. The mechanic that looked at her car was able to remove the 2 recalcitrant with some difficulty and after about 15 minutes had both license plates squared away and when I went to pay, the manager refused to accept any payment. I tipped the mechanic and expressed my gratitude for such kindness and prompt and friendly service. My feeling is, if this might be their approach to providing customer service, maybe I should start taking my and my wife's car there for servicing. read more

They put skimmmers on there gas pumps and they are stealing credit card information, do not come here you will be a victim of fraud

I stopped in here on 6-17-2017 to fill up. The place was packed. Every pump had a car getting gas. I had to wait in line to fill up. People were moving all around trying to get on the right side of the gas pumps. I patiently waited for my spot to open up. Gas was $3.23 a gallon, which now seems high, but what can you expect with the station being right off the interstate. The parking lot was reasonably clean. Suggestion: move the cars that don't work OR that are being worked on to the back of the lot so that we shoppers can have a place to park and pull up to get gas. read more

Oh goodness! It's a gas station people. Nothing to see here. I pump my own gas, unfortunately, I never go inside for snacks, the gas is consistently higher here than other nearby locations, but it's conveniently located across the street from the freeway. I only come here when I find myself to lazy to drive to costco or in dire need of gas. I don't think I've ever filled up here, because the gas is so expensive. read more

The battery on my car died right infront of this service shop and the mechanic refused to sell me a battery or jump my car. He told me to wait until Monday morning (It was Saturday morning). Wow, I had the misfortune of stopping by this location on my way to work and I must say that I was not impressed with the rude service from the cashier who by all accounts was not at all interested in doing her job. She took her time with everything I asked for and slammed my receipt on the counter, I didn't say thing becauseI don't have time to engage a 60 something-year-old child. I read the other reviews of this place but my visit was very fine. I went in for an auto inspection and emissions inspection. The whole thing lasted maybe 15 minutes, the staff was nice, and thats about it. Took my car in for an safety and emissions inspection as I live in the area. They reported that my headlight needed replacing and there was an exhaust leak. I took it to my mechanic I usually use and there was a small emissions leak, but the headlight was fine - nothing wrong with it. What a scam. I guess they thought I would not take it somewhere else to be fixed and just have them do it. While I could have taken it back and had the reinspeciton for safety for 1 dollar (due to VA law), I ate the 16 bucks just not to go back there and paid my mechanic to do the inspection again. read more

I took my car here for a VA safety inspection. The inspection was thorough (a good thing depending on your perspective) and the technician identified one of two license plate bulbs as needing to be replaced. I paid the extra $10 to have it replaced, but the technician blew a fuse in the processes (my wife and I watched outside). After he struggled with the bulbs for a few minutes, he gave up and passed the vehicle. If we did not notice we would have left without any of the lights on the fuse working including tail lights. This was a dangerous and dishonest decision by the tech. The tech lied when questioned but ultimately handed the car off to someone else to fix before we left. I would not recommend this establishment for inspections or any auto repairs based on their lapse of moral judgement. read more

This shell station has a full atop body service center attached. They have eight pumps total A very small convenience mart. The reason that I'm giving them three stars is because with all the traffic from the autobody place. As well as people filling up the gas tanks it gets a little bit crazy. read more

This is a Sunoco now. Just popped in with our three small kids and husband to buy gas and snacks and use the restroom during a road trip. The attendee behind the counter (somebody Kahn) was absolutely awful and used the F word at my one year old when our little boy picked up a mini soft pack of tissues and put it on the floor. When my husband told the employee that language was not appropriate around our young children, he glared at my husband and didn't even respond when we left and told him nicely to have a nice day. I was referred to this place two years ago. The local Toyota dealership wanted $1600 to perform required maintenance on my 4Runner. My friend had taken his two vehicles to the Shell station and was very happy with their customer service, quality of service performed and price. I gave them the exact list the Toyota dealer gave me without the prices and the guys at the Shell station told me it would cost......$400. It ended up being about $430 as they found something else wrong and just charged for the part and not the labor since they missed it on the initial look over of the vehicle. As with my plumber and electrician, these guys have earned my trust. I have referred at least 3 other people to them and they too are customers for life. If they tell me I need to have something done, I trust them and I have never, ever had any problems. I hope they never leave Lorton as I will be a customer for life. read more

If I could give -5 stars this would be the place. I drove down to Lorton from outside of Philadelphia, a 3 hour drive; the car ran nice and smooth. Just before putting my 1972 Porsche 911T on the auto train, I decided to fill up so I wouldn't have to when I got to Florida. I almost always use Shell where I live, so I figured it would be okay. WRONG ,BIG MISTAKE! As soon as my car got off the train in Florida, I could tell the gas was really bad, most likely full of water. My car's engine continuously misfired, stumbled, hesitated, and ran like crap. It was so bad that it fouled my plugs. I had to take it to a Porsche mechanic in Jacksonville FL. To fix it. He changed all six plugs. ($135 with labor). The car ran horribly the whole weekend at the two events my car was entered in. It took two full tanks of gas until the engine started running decently. I will be writing to shell to get reimbursed for the cost of the gas, new spark plugs, and mechanic labor. DO NOT EVER BUY GASOLINE FROM THIS SHELL STATION; THEY ARE CROOKS !! read more

I used to take my car here all the time, but 5 years have passed or more and I don't take it there anymore, I think I will never take it back again. One time I had issue with a sensor check engine light, I took it there. They said they fixed it the first time - I drove it and the light came back on again the next day. I guess they just took off the battery and connect it once again? about $300 then I took it back they said they would fix it and they did but guess how much they charge me? $1000 to replace and fix a sensor, I had no idea what this was, now I buy my own sensors and I install it myself, they are worth about $100 each and it takes about 30 minutes the most to put under your car, what a rip off right? I wasn't going to put this review but I had too so everyone knows that this place can rip you off in a heartbeat, they don't care about you just your money. other one last time I took to fix something about brakes and when I got the car back the brakes were loose or a brake wire was gone, I thought I was going to crash - I can't believe they gave me the car back without brakes.. so now I just stay away from there - bad experiences. read more
