Second time here this week. Thought I'd try something else. Very good huevos rancheros with their nicely crispy hash browns. Seated right away. Ordered when I was ready. Food came out quickly and hot. Lots of food. My husband came out early today with his friend so I must say it's good to recommend. Plenty of parking. There are charging stations somewhere in the Camarillo outlet center. After I left. Great place for brunch, lunch or dinner. Came to this place last night in Camarillo located conveniently by the outlets for diner. I had high expectations due to reviews but I was a bit disappointed partially in the food. When we went, it was basically empty and our server was very kind and quick. Place is very clean and condiments were filled and organized. So far so good. However when I ordered chicken and waffles, I expected actual chicken and waffles. They're basically those chicken tenders from theme parks that are for kids. I was pretty disappointed in that, luckily the waffles were very good. Dusted with powdered sugar and integrated with chocolate chips, these were some of the best waffles iv had as well. They were fluffy, and not too big so you can eat them one at a time. Please just make actual fried chicken or change it to "chicken tenders and waffles" so other ppl won't be disappointed as well! read more

I've read great reviews about this place, so we went to try it. I should have instead sorted reviews by "Newest first" instead of the default "Yelp sort" to get more honest reviews rather than the positive, filtered ones with "Yelp sort". Doing that would have saved me and my family from a gross lunch and poor customer experience here. What happened... After being seated, we waited for 15 minutes until someone came to our table to take our drink order while 5-8 employees gathered around the back counter talking to each other. Another 20 minutes go by (while the employees continue to hang out at the counter) before we flag someone to take our order. 20 minutes later, and we flag our waitress to ask if our food is almost ready. She seems annoyed, says it'll be another 10-15 minutes, and walks away. She (no one) offers to refill our drinks or check on us... we always had to flag someone to help us. My 4-year-old and one-year-old at this point are so hungry that my husband takes them to Wetzle's Pretzels for some food. About 10 minutes later, the manager comes over and tells us that the waitress put our order in, but the printer didn't print it in the kitchen, so it hasn't been made, so it'll be another 10-15 minutes. He says this all while laughing, then says "You, know, it happens!" before laughing more and walking away. I was stunned... at this point, we've been in the restaurant for nearly an hour and had only consumed one round of drinks, while the manager thinks it's hilarious that they've made us wait an hour for food and doesn't apologize or offer to comp anything! Once our food finally came out, it was mediocre at best. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and he said it was bland. I ordered the tuna melt, which had room-temperature tuna and half-melted cheese and the plate was full of grease - much more so than with a standard tuna melt. We again had to flag someone down for the check. Our waitress came back with the check and said the manager was kind enough to give us the "family discount". I looked at the check... our total was about $65 and the "family discount" took off $9. Management - you need to do better. First, don't make light of a bad situation - it makes your customer feel dismissed. Second, APOLOGIZE and offer to make it right once you know there is an issue, especially if the issue is fully on you, not the customer. read more

We patiently waited for our food and after 1 hour of waiting I go ask our waitress if it was going to take longer or more than 10 mins then he said I think so. It wasn't even busy. So, if you want to wait over 1 hr for your food then yes come here. But if you're hungry then maybe going somewhere else. read more

We visited Loru's for the first time and were impressed with the menu, and service. Alex Rodriguez was our waiter. My husband and I eat out quite alot, and Alex was very attentive, courteous, and polite. He seemed intent on providing good service. The food was good. What a great little restaurant this place is. It is exactly what the outlets needed, it's a perfect place to eat before during or after shopping. It's now a traditional seating restraunt. The boast a menu of American food with Mexican dishes sprinkled throughout. The menu also has a an abundance of breakfast items that Camarillo needs! I visited in a Sunday and we had bottomless mimosas, Michele dad and some fantastic chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Not lying at all, these were the best chilaquiles I have ever had, the were smothered in a pork verde sauce and the chips had a crunch still... so good. The prices were reasonable. It did take a while to get food in a really busy restaurant. Our server was efficient. I wasn't looking for someone particularly gregarious, but he did his job well. The food was amazing. I'm a real fan of Swedish crepes with lingonberry. That is on the menu. There is another restaurant a couple of miles away that serves them, there you get 5 small rolled up crepes with the jam on top. Here you get four full sized French style crepes folded in quarters with the jam and lingonberry butter on top. So much more food volume that the minor increase in price is well worth paying. I took some photos of our half eaten food, but perhaps they can help you decide. I highly recommend this place. My husband had the Lori's omelet which included hash browns, steak fajita filling topped with chorizo and a side of pancakes. It was far too much food! read more

Surprisingly delicious! Little unassuming cafe among the shops at the Camarillo Outlets, who would have thought? Our group of five stopped here before a day of shopping and everything was SO good! We had the biscuits and gravy (so flavorful!), the huevos rancheros (delicious), and the chilaquiles (a favorite). We also split 2 fresh cinnamon rolls and those were to die for! We had the best Chile Rellano omelette the flavor was so delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The homemade salsa was spicy just the way we like it!
