The host refers me to the one chair table one foot from the door. We all know that's the bitch seat. Least desirable place to sit in the place. Pretty much saying if it's not the special s the rest of the menu isn't worth your time. I came here for crepes. I ordered the sample platter with a side of eggs. It was brought to Me in 5 minutes. Very fast. Almost like they are rushing me from enjoying the experience. Guess what? Food was ice cold. I was like how is that possible with how fast it got to me. My guess they had some just laying out. I had my hand up looking to request my waiter to ask for explanation or a fix. Another coworker noticed and told him to talk to me. While he was chatting with his coworker. He did the right thing apologized and sent my order back to try again! That's the reason for the additional star. However he asked if I wanted it to take home instead of eating at restaurant! Sir I only ordered two things. This is an experience. Food got back to me. The eggs were iced cold again. What the hell is this kitchen doing. Then the crepes came. Warm. Better. If my server isn't getting 4th degree burns from how hot the plate is without gloves or napkin delivery. It's luke warm at best. The server kept checking in and had my drinks filled. But it was in such a way they wanted me to leave. #hostile. I was in restaurant for 15 minutes total before leaving. We visited Loru's for the first time and were impressed with the menu, and service. Alex Rodriguez was our waiter. My husband and I eat out quite alot, and Alex was very attentive, courteous, and polite. He seemed intent on providing good service. The food was good. I had a tuna melt, and my husband had a patty melt. Loru's is worth another visit, and we will definitely go back again for breakfast. Surprisingly delicious! Little unassuming cafe among the shops at the Camarillo Outlets, who would have thought? Our group of five stopped here before a day of shopping and everything was SO good! We had the biscuits and gravy (so flavorful!), the huevos rancheros (delicious), and the chilaquiles (a favorite). We also split 2 fresh cinnamon rolls and those were to die for! We also ordered black coffee and it was seriously the perfect cup of coffee- some places the coffee is too bitter but not here! We were impressed. Solid breakfast spot. We had the best Chile Rellano omelette the flavor was so delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The homemade salsa was spicy just the way we like it! The restaurant is family owned and the staff were very friendly. Our server Xochtl provided excellent service, she was cheerful and you can tell she takes pride in her work. Great service. Great food! Have had their food 4 times so far. Most orders were takeout. Only on one order did they forget all the extra goodies in the bag, such as, utensils and sauces. The The servers are great and the cooks are so fast. The portions are very large and good for the price. Highly recommend it for good hearty American or Mexican food! read more

We were there on the early end of Friday. The chilaquiles were ok, but you can tell the beans are from a can which I don't love. Tortilla chips were crisp and the sauce was tasty. The chicken lime salad was well put together and good size but the dressing was a little heavy for me. They have a patio which is nice at the outlets and also an indoor area. Located within Camarillo outlet, parking can be a hit or miss depending on how busy the outlet is. Came here at about 0930 on Saturday morning before a major sale and no wait for us but the restaurant filled up shortly. Service is okay, our server was very kind but very busy. Other servers help but seemed confused as to what was ordered but still prefer over no service. Atmosphere was slightly dim. Plenty of people. Loved this place. Went for the first time for breakfast with a friend. I ordered the 2eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pieces of ham. With that came your choice of hash browns or home potatoes plus 2 Swedish crepes! I absolutely couldn't finish all so I brought home half my breakfast for the next morning. Considering the amount of food, and how delicious it all was, this broke down to two breakfasts at $10.00 each. I will definitely be going back, perhaps to try something else next time. Went for breakfast with an elderly friend and first noticed that there's not a lot of room to walk between tables (very crammed in). We made it thru to a booth and ordered, but food took a very long time to arrive. Restaurant was only 1/2 full. No one came to refill tea or water. Food finally arrived and server said both toast orders were on the way. Breakfast was nearly done... still no toast. Also, my friend ordered hash browns but got regular potatoes. When I finally was able to get someone's attention and let them know, they said "what kind of toast?", then brought one order of toast, 5 minutes later the second order of toast arrived. We took it to go since we'd already been there over an hour & breakfast had already been eaten. No apology, no mention of the hash brown mistake. We ate around 7pm and there was only a few other people in the restaurant. It does close at 8pm. We Orderer an omelet/hash browns, 1/2 sandwich and salad and a kids meal of Mac and cheese. The service was good and they were friendly. My husband said the omelet was very good. Our daughter liked the Mac and cheese( but I was very surprised to see that it was not homemade but boxed). I have never seen that in a restaurant before!! My sandwich was fine but we were surprised that it didn't come with fries too. Kind of a sparse plate. Some of the lettuce mix for the salad was old and the lettuce was brown so they covered it with a huge amount of croutons. We will go back again but not that late at night. We think the food will be fresher if you go earlier. read more
