The menu is super customizable, which is perfect if you're not into typical breakfast plates or just want things your way. Everything comes out hot and the flavors are both classic and unique. The Eggs Benedicts are a must, especially the Baja-style version with chorizo, avocado, and that smoky chipotle hollandaise (drooling thinking about it now). The bacon sriracha burrito is flavorful without being overly spicy, and the chicken fried steak is tender, comforting, and exactly what you want it to be. Do NOT skip the mojo potatoes or the hash cake, they're both top-tier sides. Food is definitely the star here. In our experience the drinks are just OK. The lattes don't quite feel like cafe craft quality, but they do the job. They do a good cup of regular ole joe though. Service is friendly, welcoming, but not efficient. The staff tries their absolute best, but if you're in a hurry you'll need to waive them down each and every time. Weekend waits can be as long as 45 mins to an hour with you constantly having to check in on your status, guess that's a good thing! We got the salmon and poached eggs waffle, the smores waffle, original, and the Benny Bought a Farm waffle. All was delicious!!!!! They have homemade lemonades as well. Their side of potatoes was also super yummy. Just a note that I requested decaf coffee and it comes from an instant coffee machine and tastes very artificial--not what you expect for the price. We asked about it and they were very kind and offered to replace it with another drink for free. We would love to come back again next time we're in Newbury Park for breakfast!
