My stomach was hurting this morning and I stumbled upon this jewel!! My mom and I bought two chicken/ el pollo and two carne asada/ steak tacos. As soon as I paid for our meal and got in the car I opened up one of the steak tacos (corn tortilla with onions and cilantro by the way) and literally devoured it. It was the most delicious taco I've ever had from an authentic Mexican restaurant. My mom just wanted to taste the steak meat and feel in love at how tender it was. It was NOT dry and the green sauce (el verda salsa) was muy caliente. I loved it!!!!!! Not only will we be back for more but we will certainly dine in to get the full effect. By the way, my mom likes the steak tacos more than the chicken. We discovered this place when we were moving to Rolling Meadows. We have been frequent customers. At least 1 or 2 times a week. At first it was great. We always looked forward to going to eat there. Now sad to say will not go there again . They changed cooks or chefs I don't know. It's not the same. Once got the Tampiqueña. I said Medium Well. Mine and my husbands was extremely well done and even burnt on some parts. I don't like to complain so I grinned and beared it and ate it. Today we said ok let's give it another chance. If you look at their picture of their fajita bowl you are like wow I want one. I ordered one and definitely not fajitas. It was little pieces of taco meat and mostly all vegetables. Tacos meat in little pieces are not fajitas. And there was meat in there for maybe 1 tacos w out exaggerating. Never again will my family go there again read more

We stumbled across this gem during an out of town soccer tournament - as a party of thirty. They only have 35 chairs but they more than welcoming - great service and amazing food. They did a great job taking the girls' orders quickly and out to them very fast. Splitting the tickets was done efficiently and without any hiccups. Highly recommend this hidden treasure. read more

I get home to see the quesadilla, 1 taco and a beans and rice side order. I was attempting to call my 2 Amigos in my hometown. I accidentally called this establishment (with the same name) and they knew I was calling the wrong number (they admitted that in the follow up call.) They took my order, then asked for me to pay over the phone. I didn't think anything of it due to different restaurants pick up protocols. I went to my local 2 Amigos and they didn't know anything. It hit me. I called back, and they had the gall to admit that they knew I was calling the wrong place, but took my money anyway. Needless to say they didn't give me my money back. I went with my boyfriend on Tuesday of this week. I got steak quesadillas and he got steak tacos. The food was excellent!! Service was really quick and nice too!! No complaints on this day. We went around 12. The food was so good we decided to go back 2 days later on Thursday. We got there around 1 and they were kind of busy. We sat down and it took a good 10 minutes for someone to get us water and ask us what we wanted. Totally understand that- restaurants can be busy and I am patient, but it was still a little annoying. Continuing on me and my boyfriend ordered steak quesadillas. When we went on Tuesday, my quesadillas were served on a flour tortilla with sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, and pico de Gallo. When our quesadillas came out it was on a corn tortilla and not what I ordered on Tuesday. Not even a side of anything. That's ok tho- we should of specified the certain steak quesadillas we wanted. We proceeded to tell our server that the quesadillas we received were not the ones we wanted. I was annoyed because we already had to wait 25 minutes for our food, then had to send it back again. When we reordered, our food came out in about 15 minutes. My boyfriends quesadilla was good-mine was burnt. While he was eating he noticed a white long twist tie mixed in with lettuce. We then decided to get up and leave after poor food. When we told the manager, he proceeded to laugh it off and act like it was no big deal. Which it really wasn't that awful, at least it wasn't a bug or something. Still extremely unsanitary. We are pretty patient and calm people-but we will not be coming back. read more

This place is close to my work, so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered a chicken burrito with rice instead of beans. They didn't put beans but forgot the rice. I also ordered cheese lettuce and tomato in my burrito and I was sad to see all the tomatoes were all the way at the bottom. Their sauce is a sad excuse for Mexican salsa. We ordered delivery through GrubHub, and our order was wrong. However, the manager called me and offered to make two new dinners and delivered them to us. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. The service is great. The owners are always there making sure everything is good. We have never had anything bad and have tried just about everything on the menu. I LOVE Los 2 Amigos! They've become a weekly staple in my and my husband's diet. The first time we ordered pick up, we got 2 carne asada burritos, 2 sides of rice, 2 sides of beans. Their servings are HUGE. We also picked up 2 of their flans (because how can you not) and they were good, 4/5 in my book. All of this came to about $20!!!!! My husband and I are food people and we can eat a lot... EVERY time we order the same thing and only get through half. Somehow it's even better as lunch the next day. Definitely a hole in the wall, the employees are always very nice and I would (and have) recommended this place to countless people. I should also mention that we're from San Diego and my husband is Mexican. We know good burritos. If you're in the area, you have to try it.
