The line was long, and the wait was definitely noticeable, but after one bite of their Fancy Smash Burger, we completely understood why. This wasn't just a great burger--it was one of those meals that makes you stop talking for a minute because you're too busy enjoying it. The perfectly seasoned beef, combined with their incredible signature sauce, crisp lettuce, and fresh tomatoes, created an absolute explosion of flavor. Every bite was better than the last. They only sell bottled sodas, but they also offer water, which was perfectly fine for us and let the burger remain the star of the show. For the first time, we also tried Dirty Potato Chips, and they were fantastic. Crunchy, flavorful, and the perfect companion to an already amazing meal. One of the best parts? Capital Farms is also a butcher shop. Before leaving, we picked up some of their ground beef so we can try making our own smash burgers at home. If the burgers they serve are any indication, we're in for a treat! If you're passing through Wickenburg--or even if you're not and need an excuse for a road trip--this place is absolutely worth the stop for lunch or dinner. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others.
