Best food place ever definitely recommend going for breakfast, lunch, dinner and the service there is absolutely amazing they attend you as soon as you enter and you feel very welcomed I drove all the way from Kansas to try this restaurant and its worth it! Very clean place and tables are always looking very clean i recommend this place 10/10!

Pretty basic for this type of "Mexican" food. The ones in San Diego are definitely better than the ones in LA, but that's for another day. Ordered the taquitos supreme, beef taco, beef tostada and kids bean and cheese combo. The great: The serve yourself salsa bar and bean and cheese burrito. Can't really mess that up either though. The good: asada on the taquitos, beef taco and fries (light and crispy. The bad: beef on the tostada was really dry and salty and GF didn't like the taquitos. Sour cream was watery and other toppings didn't do it for her. Worth a stop for basics when in the area, but not enough to go out of my way.

Stopped in to try the taquitos, which were decent. Nothing special but it was still good. The only thing the red salsa tasted a little off, so opted it out. But I didn't need it anyway. Will def be coming back to try other items.

This place has really hit the spot in terms of flavor and execution. The portions are definitely worth trying out for what you pay for. The aguas frescas are ready to drink. Plenty of seating available and a bathroom available. Unfortunately the teriyaki spot didn't make the cut. So Los Albetos have taken over! There are several Mexican restaurants in Duarte but this one stands out because of its value and cost is competitive to the others. Come and try it you won't regret it. We ordered the chilaquiles con salsa verde comes with beans and rice. We both also had the limon con pepino agua frescas. The food is delicious and also the drinks. Salsas full of picante flavors and more to choose from. With plenty of menu items you won't stop coming for more. Please feel free to contribute by supporting this establishment you won't be disappointed. We shall be back more often.

The burritos are a good value and quite delicious. I ordered the California burrito and I was very happy that it came with potatoes instead of fries. The asada was also quite tasty. The burrito came out very quickly and the staff was very nice. The horchata was was reasonably priced and refreshing, but otherwise didn't stand out. The interior is quite clean and bright. Do note that there is a surcharge for cards, so bring cash. This place will definitely be part of my lunchtime rotation.

Great addition to the neighborhood! Unlike several other businesses that have quickly come and gone at this location, I think Los Albeto's has staying power. Burritos are big and filled with juicy, flavorful ingredients. Pepino Limon drink was refreshing and not overly sweet. Small serve yourself salsa station. Big menu boards, well lit, ample seating, friendly service and wait time wasn't long.

    Super fries with asada

This is my snap judgment based on one meal: better than average, for sure, at 3.5 stars for food. 4 stars total because the service was nice, the food came out hot and fast, and the portions are generous. I ordered the carne asada super fries, and it delivered what I expected from an establishment ending with a "to's" (IYKYK). Enough fries for 2, cheese, seasoned peppers and red and green salsa bottles, and limes at the self-serve condiments bar. There was indoor and outdoor seating, and the restaurant looked clean, I noticed an 'A' rating posted clearly at the entrance. They've got everything but the kitchen sink on their menu! I want to try their menudo and some other specialties like the huaraches or mulitas...

Second time coming here and again what a disappointment. Best advice, check your receipt and compare to the prices posted. The only good thing was the portion of the breakfast burritos but that was it. We ordered two breakfast burritos, one sausage and one chilaquiles, both very salty and nothing special about it. There was only one worker, making the food, taking orders and handing out the orders. After he took our order we decided to check the receipt because the prices seem odd. The prices on the screen were different than the prices on the print out menu and lowered than what we got charged. We didn't bothered bringing it up because we knew how busy that one worker was. We simply decided we won't be coming back.

Even though the place was buzzing with energy and clearly a local favorite, the team handled the weekend crowd seamlessly. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and fast, making the entire experience feel smooth from start to finish. Since there were five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style, which turned out to be the best decision. The absolute star of the table was the pancakes--they are truly outstanding! They nailed both the texture and the flavor: golden on the outside, insanely fluffy on the inside, and rich without feeling overly heavy. The waffles were equally delicious, holding a fantastic crisp on the edges while remaining light in the center. To top it all off, the drink selection was top-tier. Whether you get their specialty coffees or refreshing iced beverages, or even hot tea. Every drink was crafted with care and tasted wonderful alongside the sweet and savory brunch items. It's rare to find a busy weekend brunch spot where both the food and the service shine this brightly. We will definitely be back!

Don't underestimate the size of the cup because it does hit you after 2 cups. I would say it was worth to get brunch here because of this option. Farm Fresh scramble: It's a small size dish topped with fresh avocado. Basically a omelet with mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. Comes with a side, so we chose waffle. Great balancing meal if you want something on the lighter end. Monte Cristo: This was a big dish was huge or the other dish was small and it comes with a side. We ordered a side of crispy scalloped potatoes, soft and gooey. I would recommend ordering the potato scallops to try something new. Ham, Swiss and egg was warm. The sandwich was cut into two halves so really shareable plate.

So just an FYI. The location was full of energy and full of customers. The moment we came in we were well taken care of by the staff. They greeted us and lucky for us a booth was open. It's a spacious restaurant for numerous party sizes. We opted to just shared the corned beef hash and eggs. Our waitress was amazing! She even asked the staff to split the dish into two separate plates. Which was a great surprise. The meal also came with bread of choice. The food came out quickly and the portions were sizable even when split into two. My wife and I enjoyed the corned beef hash plate and both of use finished it handily. I would love to try more things on another visit. The staff and service here is what stood out for me. We felt well taken care of the whole time by all the staff. Thanks, J & A's Cafe! ( ^_^)b

We got 2 hot coffees, 2 different breakfast plates: a California Omelette and Breakfast Quesadilla, and a French Toast to share. I'm a sauce gal, so I was super excited when they brought over 3 different sauces/salsas for our breakfast. I love a good tang to my breakfast, and these sauces were their differentiator. Their California Omelette was served piping hot and came with ham, onion, bell pepper, mushroom on the inside, and melty American cheese on top - my perfect kind of omelette. Ooo and their hash browns are done perfectly. Amazing crust on the outside, soft potato in the middle. I would come back just for their hash browns to be honest. My fiancé also liked his Breakfast Quesadilla and was a big fan of their hash browns, too. We were seated in the back in a booth and they have that great 90s leather feel to them. The whole restaurant is decked out with cool art on the walls and funny signage like, "We do not have Wi-Fi. Talk to each other. Pretend it's 1995" hahaha it made me laugh, and I appreciate that in this day and age, esp my generation where we are glued to phones all the time. The owners and managers must be pretty cool and for that, I will be back just for the chance of meeting these cool people. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu. We felt with happy smiles and full tummies. Till next time!
