I came here with co workers for a lunch. Instead of getting mexican food, I decided to order their burger special as I was feeling burgers more. Order took about 10 minutes before my number was called. It was roughly $11 for the whole special which was burger and fries. The burger was closer to a classic style hamburger but smaller in size. It came with a lot of crispy fries which was slightly seasoned. The burger was as expected, nothing great nothing terrible. Overall, I knew I was ordering something not mexican from a mexican spot. Based on the burger alone, it's a 3/5. I will update once I come back and eat their tacos. read more

I just tried this place in a whim. It was late and they were one of the few places still open after 10pm. Boy was I glad I did. We ordered a grilled chicken torta that was amazing!! A machaca combo beef burrito. So delicious. And an order of taquitos which were delicious as well. Although I wish they had put more quac with 5 taquitos. The salsas are good too. The people behind the counter are really nice as well. I will Definitely be putting them into a more frequent rotation!! read more

Starting in Sierra Madre and really craving some Mexican comfort food. We found it right here. The Chili Verde Plate and Vegetarian burrito were enough to feed to 2 people for two days! Exact same menu as we've seen at Alberto's, Super Albert, and Alibeto's. Consistently good no matter which location or which name they're using. read more

Ordered the taquitos supreme, beef taco, beef tostada and kids bean and cheese combo. The great: The serve yourself salsa bar and bean and cheese burrito. Can't really mess that up either though. The good: asada on the taquitos, beef taco and fries (light and crispy. The bad: beef on the tostada was really dry and salty and GF didn't like the taquitos. Sour cream was watery and other toppings didn't do it for her. Worth a stop for basics when in the area, but not enough to go out of my way. read more

This place has really hit the spot in terms of flavor and execution. The portions are definitely worth trying out for what you pay for. The aguas frescas are ready to drink. Plenty of seating available and a bathroom available. Unfortunately the teriyaki spot didn't make the cut. So Los Albetos have taken over! There are several Mexican restaurants in Duarte but this one stands out because of its value and cost is competitive to the others. Come and try it you won't regret it. We ordered the chilaquiles con salsa verde comes with beans and rice. We both also had the limon con pepino agua frescas. The food is delicious and also the drinks. Salsas full of picante flavors and more to choose from. With plenty of menu items you won't stop coming for more. The burritos are a good value and quite delicious. I ordered the California burrito and I was very happy that it came with potatoes instead of fries. The asada was also quite tasty. The burrito came out very quickly and the staff was very nice. The horchata was was reasonably priced and refreshing, but otherwise didn't stand out. The interior is quite clean and bright. Do note that there is a surcharge for cards, so bring cash. This place will definitely be part of my lunchtime rotation. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood! Unlike several other businesses that have quickly come and gone at this location, I think Los Albeto's has staying power. Burritos are big and filled with juicy, flavorful ingredients. Pepino Limon drink was refreshing and not overly sweet. Small serve yourself salsa station. Was so glad when they opened. Not sure if there are new cooks or management, but the food has changed. The chili rellenos were the best. My father is so picky and he only would want them from here. Not anymore. The chilis are tough and the two are cooked like one big omelette. When you separate them, the egg mixture isn't fully on the chile. The fish tacos upset my stomach and so did the carne asada tacos. The guacamole w cheese n chips use to have melted cheese and last night it was just placed on top. My father likes the hard shell Chx tacos and for that I may continue ordering. I hope they go back to serving quality food. read more

Very expensive for the quality. No free refills, the refried beans were a sickly gray and watery and they guacamole was tasteless and also watery. The carne asada was thankfully scored but the plastic utensils could not cut the meat even with the scoring. Overall very bland and boring and awkward. read more

Was driving by on out way to Burbank and we seen this place right off the freeway and it did not disappoint! It was good food I got the Chile rellenos and it was sooo good! Second time coming here and again what a disappointment. Best advice, check your receipt and compare to the prices posted. The only good thing was the portion of the breakfast burritos but that was it. We ordered two breakfast burritos, one sausage and one chilaquiles, both very salty and nothing special about it. There was only one worker, making the food, taking orders and handing out the orders. After he took our order we decided to check the receipt because the prices seem odd. The prices on the screen were different than the prices on the print out menu and lowered than what we got charged. We didn't bothered bringing it up because we knew how busy that one worker was. I wanted something easy to eat so I ordered a carne asada burrito with cheese. Plus I added the guacamole sauce. The service was pretty fast I was in and out in no time. It was Sunday night 10:30pm and we were starving coming back from a road trip and saw the lights of this place. I will be honest, I was very skeptical. Big lights are not my thing and didn't scream quality to me but I was pleasantly surprised with my first bite of the chicken burrito. It was very warm, the tortilla tasted like it was just made, there was a lot of meat and it was a huge portion. This is now my go to Mexican place. I think the owners are a young couple with small kids, working until late at night. I highly recommend everyone trying the spot. read more

This was my 2nd time here. First time I went I ordered shredded beef crunchy tacos and those were really good. Just wished the salsas were actually spicy. And the sopes were delicious! Second time I got the Azteca burrito without the chorizo. Came with asada, nopales, rice & beans. It was good. A little on the salty side but it wasn't too bad. We also ordered a breakfast burrito. Fish tacos with zero dressing arrived with GrubHub driver who neglected to grab any hot sauce whatsoever. Fish tacos should always have some sort of dressing on them and it is not up to the patron to get it. It is up to the chef. The fish was heavily breaded and edible although not exactly enjoyable. The beef enchiladas did not resemble any enchilada I have ever seen before in my life. It looked more like a fajita dish dumped into a tortilla. Onions bell peppers barely cut up. Yeah that is not a enchilada. Enchilada gets two out of five. The chorizo burrito is dry and the sausage is akin to beef jerky. The eggs are dry and the eggs have some flavor although the chorizo is flavorless. The chorizo burrito gets a two out of five. I'm afraid there's a reason there's never anyone in this place when I drive by. They need to pick up their game or they're not going to be there much longer. read more

I finally think the right restaurant showed up to break the spell of this location. We moved into the area 10yrs ago and to this point there has been at least 6 businesses in this location and they all were lacking something that inevitably became their demise. They only lasted 6 months - 1yr. This place is definitely a breath of fresh air. The inside has been completely changed and looks so much better now and actually looks enjoyable to eat indoors now. The food was amazing, ordered a Enchilada plate for my wife and a Taquito plate for myself and the portions and flavors were amazing. Will definitely be coming back again with the kiddos since they love latin food. The service was fast, polite and knowledgeable on the menu. The only feedback I have if any, the menu is really hard to read because it is packed with amazing combinations. If the pictures and text size were larger and it was made into a foldable menu it would make things easier to read. Also do the same with the TV menus inside the restaurant. Really great food here. The rolled taquitos with cheese and avocado sauce are delicious. The bean and cheese burrito is big, fresh tasting and much more flavorful than the average bean and cheese burrito. The tortilla has a slight crispness that adds to the flavor. We've been to this new restaurant several times and they are always busy. Several restaurants prior to this one were unsuccessful in this location, but I think Albeto's has a much brighter future. read more

Beans and guac are generous, and the beans are genuinely well made, which I'm usually picky with. Super happy since I used to go to the El Monte location, and this new location has kept the food the same and delicious! Standard Roberto's/whatever-berto's/-beto's clone with that same standard trademark tortilla. Huge burritos and not super expensive as long as you don't add anything. On my breakfast burrito adding guac was almost $4 and adding beans was like $2.50. There wasn't much guac or bacon in there. Young guy working the front was nice though and the place was very clean. I'll probably come back late sometime when nothing else is open (at the end of the day that's what the -berto's/beto's are known for). For day time, I'll probably stick to other local spots.
