This time we ordered carne asada fries, bean/cheese burrito and a cheese and guacamole quesadillas. The fries were cold and old and there was no guacamole on the quesadillas even though we paid for it. We even repeated the order at the window. "Decent" is the only just way to describe this taco shop, or at least my experience today. Tasted fine, but I've had better tortillas and bigger burritos. Hot sauce is good. Prices must be wrong on their menu because I paid $10.04 total for a bean and rice burrito and a 4 oz. side of guac when it said a bean burrito is $5 and a side of guac is $2.50. Can't imagine they charged me $2.50 just for rice in my burrito? Oh well, still not as outrageous as a lot of places, but they really need to fix that. I did drive thru and it was quick. I loved Alejandro's food but not this new owner which it's now Rigoberto's. Me and my partner went to check out and order food . I was disappointed that the mini tacos are no longer in the menu and other items as well. I asked the lady about the special with the roll tacos she only mentioned 3 or 5 . I wa alike 3 ? She didn't bother in explaining what came with it or what kind of meat was on it . When I got home I open the bag and I saw a small container with 3 little rolled tacos ( greasy by the way) it was the worst food I ever had . Also I want to mention that one of their employees was sitting down in the dining area on the phone with her kid running around and had his hand inside his pant in his butt and he was touch everything in the counter and spilling water on the floor . But, I Put 3 because (think he is the Owner...) he was a little frustrated and annoyed with me over the drive through window because he wasn't understanding what I was Ordering...that was a lil' Unprofessional. I interacted with him before and he was a very Pleasant and Friendly person, which I Absolutely Appreciated. He also gave me 4 hot sauces of each of the 2 colors, and I Appreciated that. The First time I had hot sauce here, it was a little chunky consistency and Thick. But, the next 2 times it was Really Good and Smooth and also Spicy Hot! The California Burrito here is Very Yummy. Carnitas burrito for the win! From Bay area, I moved to Seattle., and yes! Nothing beats the burrito here in Cali. So as soon as I stepped back in Cali for spring break, I always looked forward for a legit mexican burrito! 5 star for customer service - No dine in, but they have drive thru, which is definitely great! Food is served warm and fast! 4 star for the taste - The carnitas burrito was great! The meat is tender! No after taste! So that is a big plus for me. Generous pieces of steak and right amount of guac! However the tortilla that I ordered as a side seemed over-cooked. It taste a little bit bitter and the guac on top seems too plain as there's no tomato or onion. 4 star for the portion - I think, for asians like me, the burrito size is just right. But, it could be a little bit bigger. 5 star for the parking - they have their own parking! Being by the university ave, and having their own parking is great!! As a definitively mediocre 24-hour taco shop, your opinion of Los Alejandro's will most likely be determined by how inebriated you are. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed many, many meals there... post bar(s). But I know better than to say it is anything more than it is, and that is decidedly middle of the road, at best. Stumble in at 11pm-3am, and you'll probably be perfectly satisfied. If nothing else, the salsa/condiment bar is a major plus. Several reasonably solid salsas, marinated carrots, and a few other goodies combine to be a good step above your typical taco shop salsa bar. Beyond that, the food ranges from sub-par to average. I usually just get a quesadilla, which is a bit greasy, but satisfying. The chilaquiles were disappointing the one time I got them, and everything else fairly unmemorable. Of course, perhaps I shouldn't be using my memory as gauge for this place. Again, I digress. 2.5 stars. read more

Sad to say, shady establishment. Ordered a Beef Burrito. My receipt had a $0.50 credit card fee, and they have no disclosure of such fee. I protested, saying I'll just dispute it with credit card company. Little girl working cash register, said no... canceled my order and gave me a full cash refund. Was fine with that, went down the street across Texas and got my Beef Burrito from their competitor. So if you order from this place, scrutinize your receipt. If there is a $0.50 charge using ATM card, dispute it with your bank. "Merchants are not allowed to mislead customers, such as by falsely advertising a lower price than they actually charge or hiding any differences between credit card, debit card, and cash prices. If a merchant fails to clearly and prominently disclose--before you pay or seek to pay for an item--what it will charge for the item, including any additional fees, that may violate California laws prohibiting deceptive or false advertising." REVIEW UPDATE Went back at 420 am on Saturday morning after. Heavy night drinking , because first experience was so great. Well I called my order in when I was 10 min away in my LYFT, I get there 12 min later and walk in and ask for my Togo order and they're like oh sorry , 5 minutes and THEN start making my order, which was a California burrito, I saw the cook throw old browned fries back into the frier then into my burrito.... tasted like literal DIRT !
