I will say that I actually like this mexican food spot. It's definitely the spot to go to after you hang out at one of the bars down in normal heights or if you're in the area or simply just hangry. I will say the only thing I'm not a fan of is the tables always end up being dirty. Just need to be cleaned a little more often if you ask me. They do get rather busy especially on the weekends. This place has become my go to for taco shop food. Their carne asada fries and chips are some of the best I've had in a long time. Both their green and red salsa are very good. They give you huge portions and the food is always fresh and hot. When you order a drink they never skimp and fill it to the brim! Service is always professional, quick and straight to the point. My friends and I were leaving our hotel around the corner and were in need of a meal with sustenance. I ordered a CA Burrito and was not disappointed! This is a quick service restaurant. You order at the counter and they quickly prepare your order. Even though this place seemed like a hole in the wall it was so busy on the inside! There was plenty of seating and there seemed to have been a lot of parking available. I loved their salsa they packed a punch of spice and flavor. Hunting down a burrito on New Year's day proved to be not the easiest. We stumbled upon this location after going to two other spots that were closed for the holiday. It's in a small lot with some parking. It was empty when we arrived, but as we waited for our food, multiple groups came to order. Not shabby, but not the best. If I was in the area and wanted rolled tacos or a burrito, I'd come back. It was just okay. They do accept card. The menu spans on both walls. There is an atm inside as well. Several seating for about 7-10 groups of people. I did not see a bathroom for customers. Service was great. Everyone was nice (cashier & kitchen). Rolled tacos were crispy but with very little meat. Kind of dry. California burrito was ok. A little dry as well. They do offer salsa which has a little bit of heat. Definitely used a lot of the salsa while eating. Seems like the days of the 24 hour taco shops are almost over, but this place did a good job of being open at 10 pm on Forth of July. Easy parking out front at this hour. Not super inviting with the bars on the windows, but I expect that's a reaction to some bad actors in the past. My Torta Adobada was very good sized. There were only about 3 fatty pieces to discard and most of the rest had a nice char. Not a fan of "wet" Adobada or Al Pastor. My buddy enjoyed his 5 rolled tacos. The prices are affordable and the turnaround is super quick. The inside of the space is, respectfully, nothing to write home about. It feels a bit dilapidated with very few tables and maybe a layer of grease across the top of everything... BUT the chefs are so sweet and the food is great. The green salsa is spicy and the red salsa is spicer. I liked both and they both complimented the dishes and burrito well. To wash everhtning down, I recommend getting their horchata. I really hate giving them a low rating. I have been a customer for several years and have always enjoyed their food, they have always provided good service, and I have never had any problems with them. Today I ordered a surf and turf burrito and while eating it noticed that the shrimp were not deveined. To me this is completely disgusting and unacceptable. Perhaps veined shrimp is safe to eat but I would never serve it to guests in my house. When discovering the food I ordered was not properly cleaned, it felt to me that the business didn't care about the quality of food or safety for me as their guest. This is my only complaint, but to me it is serious. I will no longer eat their food and hope somehow they will read this and change how they prepare their shrimp. Well, we've been going to this Rolberto's for 10 plus years, at least twice a month. It has been the best. It has been consistently delicious- great salsa, fantastic tortillas, heavenly cheese, top notch ingredients . Today when my husband brought home our Rolberto's order I thought he had gone to a different restaurant. All of the ingredients were different. The tortillas, the salsa, the carrots, the cheese, the guac. EVERYTHING was different. And none of the changes were for the better. Substandard everything. I'm really hoping this is some sort of supply chain issue that will resolve itself, as we really really have enjoyed our Rolberto's. We didn't finish our food today.
