The owner has great customer service and cares about his customers. He goes out of his way to even visit them at home when they are sick!!!! A lot of regulars come in to eat. I've had their queso, quesadilla, guacamole, tostadas and their ceviche is off the chain. read more

For $60 to feed a family of 4, we wouldn't recommend it (to be fair, we had come in to this little building for the grilled wraps just across the way but it was a 40 minute wait. I just love finding hidden little gems and Los Amigos definitely was! Shopping the mall, tucked back in the corner, we spotted the sign for happy hour margaritas and stopped in for some drinks and an appetizer. We had the house margaritas - which were BIG - and the queso Oaxaca with chorizo. The queso was simply just cheese and chorizo, warm and gooey. The margaritas were good and generous but the absolute best was the michelada - it's rare to find and usually just beer, tomato juice and lime but this one had a little something extra, it was the best I've had and of course, BIG! Walking into this cute little restaurant, we did not expect the amazing service and tasty food. Both elements surpassed our expectations. I would recommend the steak fajitas! Not only did it look (and sound) apatizing, but it was incredible and very delicious. Our server, Dina, was the sweetest and checked in multiple times to make sure we were satisfied. She was very attentive and couldn't have been better. Additionally, they had a very delightful selection of spirits and sodas, perfect for you or your kiddos. I like this place allot. Its downtown Main street, in the main mall. Here's a tip: find easy parking in the alley behind the mall, there is a back door that leads you right up the stairs to the restaurant. A nice family style sit down Mexican place. Never ending chips and salsa on the table. And quick service. The flavors are good here and large portion sizes mean you will get allot for your money. The food is more mild then Nayarit Mexican Cuisine, but sometimes that's just what you need. Thier ceviche is something I get there regularly. It is bright and zesty. I enjoy it on chips with thier guacamole and salsa. I believe for most people strolling down main, this is the upgraded locally owned version of Tequilas. The prices are similar, but the friendly service and homemade recipes will make this restaurant a better choice any day. read more

We decided to stop here during a quick weekend trip to Durango. It does not disappoint! We were promptly greeted by our server, she was helpful and attentive. We received chips/salsa and a round of waters within minutes of sitting down. I ordered a Prickly Pear margarita and my boyfriend ordered a Spicy Cucumber margarita. Both of these beverages were amazing, you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Our food portions were comparable to the price. The tacos we ordered were great. The margaritas are the best we have ever had anywhere, and we can bring our dogs and sit just outside the restaurant because it's located inside the Main Avenue Mall between 8th and 9th Street. They serve gluten free chips so I feel better about eating them (you can't taste the difference, but I can feel the difference). I try not to eat rice and beans in general, to keep my weight down, and they are very accommodating when I ask for a salad on the other side of the plate so I can have a lighter meal. I love, love, love their Camarones A La Crema, their Camarones a la Diabla which has a nice spice, not too spicy, but really nice. Grilled jalapenos always adds a nice kick with anything I order. Their homemade mole is amazing, but the Pollo En Mole Poblano is a pretty large dish for me. It is so good you want to finish your plate. My husband loves their margaritas (the one he named Suzanne) and their lengua burrito or tacos. I try to encourage him to try more things on their menu, because I'm always discovering a new favorite... but he rarely orders something other than their lengua. I love their lengua tacos and their shrimp tacos and shrimp fajitas or shrimp fajita salad served in a taco shell, but I want to eat the whole shell, so I don't order that very often because I don't trust myself when trying to maintain my weight and not go overboard. Five star service, five star prickly pear margarita, and five star seafood cocktail. The place is small and unassuming, but comes with a large menu. They have all the basic margarita flavors and a little more. Margaritas are decently strong, and the prickly pear in particular is amazingly delicious. I ordered the Chiapas seafood cocktail, and loved it 100%! They definitely skimp on seafood -- I kept finding more octopus and shrimp with every scoop of the cocktail. Once I got the bill they charged me $1.99 for cheese and an extra $5 for hard tacos. Five stars all around! What a great spot! First off, props to the amazing servers who did the best they could with serving us during the busiest time at the Snow Down event. After the parade the band people came into the mall where this restaurant is and this place was packed with just random people, band people and people trying to eat and order. They did a great job during this chaos. The food... what a great variety! All the things you could ask for on a Mexican menu (minus tamales or least I don't remember seeing them because I want them!). I had the Enchiladas - beef and then cheese. Granted it doesn't take much for Enchiladas but these were good! Nice and gooey from the cheese and the meat was tender and they weren't dry. The bf had Carne Asada and he loved it. Said the taste was great and meat from that was also tender. The server did get our order wrong and brought Asada tacos instead of the Carne Asada plate but she fixed that right away and corrected it with the right food within 5 minutes. They had some pretty cheap beer and drink specials too. Our friends had the Camerones Mexicanos which is a shrimp plate and they also loved their dish. Said the shrimp was cooked right and the dish was juicy from the garlic sauce. I don't usually get hyped up about Mexican but this was some food stuff! Check the spot out if ya can! read more
