Saw they had an all new menu from "The Grain Table" the other day and was excited to try it. Meh. Got the steak and cheese egg rolls. Those were about 4 out of 5 stars. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. Had no flavor. Like at all. 1 out of 5. Only saving grace was that a) it was edible and b) the bun was soft. The side of fries was waaaay too salty. Husband ordered 6 old bay wings. He only got 5 and they were all drums. He didn't bother complaining because he said he wouldn't be able to eat 6 anyway. Only had a little old bay on them, but they were nice and crunchy. All in all, I was excited to try The Grain Table, but can say my first impression is that I'm not a fan. Don't see a need to return for the food, that's for sure. Would think that with an entire menu overhaul and social media rollout to get people to come in, the food would meet expectations. Side note, (and not just because I'm disappointed with the food) as I said this the other day when I read it, "The Grain Table" brings to mind crunchy, granola, some might say "healthy" food. Pizza crust was undercooked -- cheese was like a hockey puck -- didn't even melt. Fried pickles were average. Beer: husband had a beer flight and rated it good. Only wine offered was the brand Barefoot (bartender described it as cheap). No thanks. Service: only two bartenders and they only took your order at the bar. We are regulars to Antietam, and love the welcoming atmosphere, great beer, and friendly service. Mike, Justin, and Matt are fabulous bartenders who smile and remember what we like, and chat like we're old friends. They always have a set menu of reliable favorite beers, and there is truly something for every beer drinker's taste, but they also introduce new flavors every few weeks to keep things fresh! Very disappointed. No burger, no fries, no buns. The salty bartender, Mike, said I could tell my disappointment to yelp, so I am obliging. He was also good enough to tell me I could also order something from somewhere else and have it delivered to my house. Asked for chips with my order, received onion rings, although Mike did credit his error. Ordered extra done wings, mild, received naked wings, not crispy. Found myself in this area. And spotted this big brew tower. Interesting brewery, with many different brews. Justin the bartender was very sociable and informative about Antietam Brewhouse. He let us taste test a few to see which one was more pleasing to drink. There's a small plate menu with nachos, soft pretzels, tacos, wings and flatbread pizza. They have live music and many events planned. Lots of tables inside, outside too. Lot of parking. I found the place to be clean and smoke free. My friend actually filled a growler to enjoy a brew of choice later at his leisure. read more

Best place to go in Hagerstown hands down. great atmosphere, amazing beers, really really good food - try the fries, the cheese fries, the pizza or the pretzels. they're dog friendly. They're family friendly and they have great live music some of the time. everyone who works there who I've met has been very, very nice. Wegmans has a lot of food stations that you'll feel lost if you walk in there without a specific destination. To me, the sandwiches are the absolute best -- especially with the sandwich oil. I would highly recommend toasting the bread, loading it up with any of your preferred cuts, and splitting it with a friend or two by the bar/hot food area. Very cool and modern bar. It's in a remodeled warehouse right off of 81, it kinda blends in. It has a good vibe, and they had some solid alternative rock going, which I loved. They had great beer and wings. The tropical magic was unique and probably the best one. The flight holder seemed to be designed after the Burnside bridge from Antietam battlefield, which was pretty astounding. The wing flavor we got was called Lucifer's fruit basket. Although they were pretty hot, they had a great flavor to them as well. Certainly recommend those to the spicy lovers that enjoy a good taste along with it and not just burning hot flavor. The only downfall is that there were just 6 wings. They were also out of the crab dip, so that was a bummer. Also they have no TVs, so we couldn't watch the Sixers, Wizards game but that's alright. A brewery doesn't need a tv to be great. The Sixers are moving on anyways! If you're in the area or just passing by on 81, make a point to get here. P.S. Defintely check their hours before coming here. I stopped in on a Sunday just before 6pm as Yelp* said they were open until 8, but nope, they close at 6. The bartender was nice, though, and poured me one of their beers so my trip wasn't entirely wasted. My one lonely beer WAS good, but I wasn't able to get a full experience because I had to suck it down so fast. I'll give them 3 stars because the service was accommodating and the beer was good, but they get knocked for not keeping their online presence up-to-date. I'll come back to do a more in-depth review some other time when I'm back in the area and have an opportunity. read more

**DOG-FRIENDLY PATIO. Came here after a day at Antietam (24 minute drive from the battlefield). They have an outdoor patio where we brought our dog. Employees were great and brought our dog grain-free treats and offered water. So many good things about this place: - Beer was also amazing...highly recommend the Hef (5/5) - Pretzel was 3 pretzel sticks and beer cheese sauce (5/5) - Well-priced merch; we grabbed a pint-glass for $5 and some takeaway beer. Side note, nothing bothers me more than brewers who are uptight and douchey, which we have experienced in the DMV Area. However, Antietam Brewery were the opposite of that! What an excellent find! We were on our way back to Baltimore from Ohio and decided to pull off for a beer in the warm weather! It was between this place or another, I left it up to Yelp to guide the way, so Antietam it was! The place is located in a sort of industrial park. Inside is pretty great. Very clean, industrial and an interesting bar. Service was friendly and the food was the perfect companion to a cold beer. I tried the sausage sandwich and the mustard served with it was my favorite part, I couldn't get enough! My husband got the stew, which I thought was an odd choice, but it was actually a solid choice. That stew was on point! A lot of space on the dog-friendly patio! We tried a few beers, the IPA was our favorite! I would definitely recommend stopping by! read more

We enjoyed our time at Antietam Brewery. After driving over an hour to take part in the nearby Heavy Metal Playground experience, I had previously searched Yelp for brewery/vineyard options in the area to make a day out of traveling that distance. My girlfriend settled on A.B. and it was a great choice. We had our pup with us, so we sat out on the nice patio area filled with wrought tables and chairs covered by umbrellas. That was a Sunday filled with eager karaoke-ers, therefore it was a bit loud (and packed) on the inside. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable of their beers and food items. We ordered a couple different IPAs and went with the nachos for a small bit to munch on... The beer was fantastic. So much so, I bought a six pack of Blind Ambition to-go. The nachos were okay, the were simple yet tasty and did the trick of holding us over until dinner time back home. We can't wait to make it back! Such a shame it's almost an hour and a half away. But, at least we have a go-to in H-Town now! read more

We stopped here in our way to a weekend getaway. We were a little weary, as it is in an industrial park..... but what the heck, we are adventurous and parking was easy. They have a nice outdoor patio, that had a water play space for the kiddos. We went inside and sat at the bar. I usually am good at taking some pictures for reviews, but I was so immersed in this experience that I just didn't. Choosing to just enjoy the moment. We got a flight. The beers were good. There were 19 beers on draft. Staff was very friendly. Beers were flavorful and they had a wide variety from lagers, to sours, porters, IPAs and stouts. Fish tacos were okay, fried dumplings had a little kick in the sauce and the pretzels were delicious. read more

It's beer in an industrial park - cool by me! Had several beers with friends and my favorite was the Hefeweizen. This style of German wheat beer isn't easy to brew, and I had low expectations. After tasting it, however, I was impressed! Lots of banana and clove aromas and a good bubble gum thing going. Nice creamy mouthfeel too. I think it's one of the better hefes I've tried in a while. It's hard to get a good domestic one, so I was unexpectedly thrilled. The other beers were ok; drinkable for sure but not stand outs. Pizza and brisket sandwich was tasty, and service great. Impressive brewing system behind the glass, and they even let you go back there and check out the stainless barrels and take in their brewing operation. That's different and a nice touch. Small outdoor patio seating area if you like, as well as darts, free popcorn, golf putting game and some ol fashioned board games. Nice vibe, reasonable prices, growler fills and some good beers. Dropped by after a long ride on the C & O. Went for one, stayed for more and a six pack to go. Food, particularly the wings, were great. Put a screen in for football and I might never leave.
