We went there for taco Tuesday and it was fantastic. The chicken was a little bit on the dry side, but the flavor was great. The fish tacos were fantastic. I don't know why everybody was complaining about the customer service since I thought it was great. This place used to be a gem, but today I went in to order takeout for my wife and I. I ordered an asada quesadilla, a Los Amigos breakfast burrito (bacon, ham, beans, rice, potatoes), no rice and add cheese (for $1.50), a small side of beans, chips, guac and salsa. The total was $40.47. It seemed a little pricey compared to past visits, but I understand that the prices of everything have gone up. I got the food home and dug in. The breakfast burrito was pretty damn big, which is great, but I quickly realized that it was basically a potato burrito with a touch of egg and maybe two bites of the half I ate had bacon or ham in it, and there was no sign of the cheese I paid $1.50 for. My wife also said her quesadilla had very little meat in it, which is not indicative of past visits. I'm okay with raising your prices to keep up with rising costs, but if you do so, you have to at least match the quality people are used to. I sincerely hope someone that runs the show over there reads this and does some quality control. I want to continue to be a customer, but won't if this is what I'm expected to be okay with. read more

I came here for lunch on a rainy Saturday. We ditched the daughter at a birthday party so that my wife and I could eat some tacos. As I approached the parking lot, I knew that this place had to be good. The parking lot was full of pickup trucks with lawn mowers in the rear. That's right Walnut residents, this is where your gardener eats. As I entered, I saw Pablo, the gardener that I fired a long time ago. Luckily, he didn't remember my face. Then I saw Jesus, my current gardener. He said "Hola" to me. I glanced around and I saw that all the gardener's were eating the same thing, a bowl of menudo, complete with pata. I ordered two fish tacos, and a carne asada taco for my wife. I was ready to order tacos for myself, when I realized that all the gardener's were eating menudo. I too ordered a bowl of menudo, but, with a front pata. After paying, I waited and saw more gardeners coming in here to eat. All of them ordering a bowl of menudo. I knew that I had ordered the right stuff! After a few minutes, my order was ready for me to take home. The tacos came with cabbage and meat. They left the sauce on the side. They had both a green sauce and a spicier red sauce. Both my wife and I thought the tacos were good. The menudo came with individual cups of seasoning, pepper, and a bag of cilantro and onions. As with most Asians, I asked for flour tortillas, instead of corn. The menudo was good. It had lots of menudo, hominy, and parts of a pata in there. I would not hesitate to order it again on a cold rainy day. Los Amigos is a hidden gem in Walnut. It has good Mexican food. I need to come here on a Taco Tuesday when the tacos are 89 cents. Grosss!! I ordered their cocido this morning and instead of a comforting tasty soup I got a bunch of meat that looked rotten and old. They didn't even bother to chop they vegetables. Do you know how hard it is to eat a whole potato in a soup? Pretty hard. Very disappointed they could try getting to work early and take their time in preparing their food. It is after all their job. Wow! It's been a year since I was last here and my, has the food and the service changed! The last time I was here the tacos were just mediocre. This time around I decided to stop by on an off day for their carnitas and Asada tacos after work. My, is this THE SPOT! Even though their tacos are kinda pricey on days that are not Tuesdays, I think they're well worth it for how juicy and tasty they were! Ok, I have been hesitating to write this. The food is delicious and that's why we keep coming back. Now, on the other hand the customer service isn't up to par with the food. The women working there are rude at times and very and I mean very forgetful. If you ask for the item they forgot to give you, they look at you like you are crazy for asking for it. I am a student at walnut high school. I go to Los amigos pretty often and I have to say if I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. It is always a good atmosphere and the food is always phenomenal. My bf and I were craving some Mexican food and this spot happened to be open on New Years Day. They closed a little earlier than normal but luckily we got there on time. The lady behind the cash register took our order then after giving us our total, she said that they only accept cash -_- wish she would have said something to us while we took a good minute or two to decide on what to order OR at least when we walked in. Saddest breakfast burrito I've ever had. The restaurant is small and stuffy with no air conditioning. I came here on a Thursday morning and the cashier was quite rude and didn't seem interested in helping me. She was more concerned with what was going on with her phone. I ordered the chorizo, eggs and potato burrito which was $4.99 + tax. And the burrito came out puny - smaller than any other breakfast burrito I've had (and I eat a lot of them). I was feeling tacos today so I'd thought I'd give los amigos a shot . I decided on al pastor tacos with rice and beans and they're were so flavorful and delicious . My sister decided to get a al pastor burrito and she said the burrito was hooked up and it had just the right amount of rice, beans and pastor she also said the burrito was really flavorful . I'm a fan of Los Amigo Tacos because of their food and their service. It was a Tuesday & I was looking for a place to get tacos. I am very picky about my tacos. It's nasty to me when fatty meats & grease are my tacos. I like the meats chunky, no skimpy little chopped up trash pieces of low quality meat full of fat. Driving up to Los Amigos, I was happy to find that they had their own private parking area. It was in a quaint & safe location, at a strip style complex. Upon entering the brightly lit restaurant, I saw the line of customers filled out the door (food must be good!!) After ordering one of each taco, doubling up on a few. We sat down & awaited our taco orders. The tacos came out quick! I ordered one of each and tried them all! My favorites were the CHORIZO, CRISPY FISH, CRISPY SHRIMP, ASADA, & CARNITAS. The meats were generously packed & the tacos are beautifully made. The service here was welcoming & super friendly. Workers had smiles & came around asking if more sauces were needed. The food always comes out rather quickly ....even if there is line is long on a Taco Tuesdays! PS- THE ASADA FRIES ARE WAY TOO TASTY! U must get them!!! DO NOT add anything extra to your order from this place. I've ordered from them using Door Dash several times. It's pretty good but last week I asked for extra meat in my cocido. You know you can't add THAT much, it's the SAME container so you know you get less broth and vegetables but I expect to pay a little extra cuz meat is more expensive than the veggies I'm not getting but what the heck I could've ordered 5 more cocidos for what they charged me! Size was fair for the price. Chorizo was a bit dry and it had potatoes in it. I would have preferred beans, but everybody has different tastes. Red salsa was pretty good, green salsa was great. No soda in the ice machine, so I had a warm Pepsi. Another customer informed the girl that the machine was out of ice, but the problem was never remedied.
