    Lengua and al pastor tacos
    Airi G.

This review is long overdue because I get takeout from here often but I finally visited during Taco Tuesday to take advantage of their sale and let me tell you... it will take a while. They have the best lengua I've ever tried so I called ahead to order lengua, carne asada, and al pastor tacos. They told me it would be ready in 15 minutes but it ended up being close to 45 minutes. I wasn't happy about the wait but nothing I could do about it because another (at least) 10 different groups were also waiting for their order. The good thing is that they check every order to ensure it's corect so I appreciated that. And the lengua is always as good as I remember it to be so they got quality under control. My typical order is a lengua burrito with no rice but these lengua tacos might be a close first.

First of all, good on them for having 89¢ taco tuesday. I ordered a total of 7 tacos and a burrito and one of my tacos was just a tortilla!!! The girl was checking orders at the counter and it took a long time, so I did not even bother to check order. The front of house staff were pleasant but order took a long time, maybe 35-40 minutes. The food is ok, but I would not go again just for this special.

They have pretty decent street tacos and their taco Tuesday is a hit with the locals! Service is alright!! Taco restaurant ambiance and nothing fancy.

Was craving Huevos Rancheros, found Los Amigos. Holy smokes- their food is legit ! Huevos Rancheros just like I like it, give you choice or corn or flour tortillas, lots of food. Restaraunt small, clean, play nice music, people who work here very nice!

TLDR: fish tacos: solid Al pastor: solid Carnitas: solid My weekly routine: I call in to Los Amigos on Tuesdays and order 5 fish tacos, 5 carne asada tacos and 5 carnitas. I come in to pick up. The cashier at the front recognizes me because I come in every Tuesday, gives me my tacos, and I go home and eat them. I would definitely recommend Los Amigos for their Taco Tuesdays. In this day and age, 89 cent tacos are hard to find. I would recommend using your own salsa or hot sauce, because at times, their salsa solidifies in their fridge and isn't easy to eat.

Been going to this spot for years, and it definitely deserves a review. As my accessible go-to in the area, I make sure to go to at least one Taco Tuesday each visit. Solid al pastor, shrimp, and birria tacos, birria burritos. Tender, flavorful birria that I can have without the dip to save my sodium intake so my blood pressure doesn't skyrocket. My only disappointment is that they no longer offer the great aguas frescas they used to. I always used to get jamaica and horchata, which never missed. They offer Jarritos now as drinks. May be a result of the pandemic. For folks who rely on your aguas frescas fix with your meal, you'll have to look elsewhere for the drink. Service has always been great, friendly, fast. It might be a good idea to phone in orders, as I'd seen some offices buy literally ALL the birria before noon on Taco Tuesday once They may have remedied this, since months later, they got plenty of birria at 12:43 this Taco Tuesday. They keep tables wiped, the space clean, and got Reggaeton music videos playing overhead. Nice, easy vibe! Always will recommend!!

My bf and I came here last night and were greeted by a very sweet lady! The nachos were sooo amazing and had many different layers of flavor to it so shoutout to the chefs! Also the way they cook their meat is incredible! Definitely check this spot out

LOCATION: off the 57 going into Walnut, plenty of parking as it's by a gas station. Interesting location but findable and small restaurant when you go in. SERVICE: a couple of seats inside but not a lot, cashier and servers were helpful and prompt with the food. Overall great experience, they didn't ask for a tip either. FOOD: gotta take advantage of their taco Tuesdays for 89 cents! Wow! And birrea tacos for $2! Tacos are small and a small amount of meat, onions, and cilantro, but worth the 89 cents! It was tasty with the hot sauce as well. Overall, great small traditional place for some affordable Mexican food!

Food was decent. Customer service was great didn't get the lady's name but she had black glasses, very kind. The area it's okay but inside made me realize why they got an A rating rather than a S. Also the worst part is that it shows one $ for this restaurant when in reality I PAID 3.83$ for a 12oz manzanita!!! For an order of enchiladas and one breaded fish & shrimp taco total was around 21$ so not bad but I saw a mosca and got scared so eat at your own risk.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. Mother's Day Dining Experience To the Management Team,…read moreI am writing to share my recent experience at your establishment this past Mother's Day. As a long-time fan of your restaurant, this was one of my favorite places to dine; however, my experience during this visit was deeply disappointing due to a lack of communication and poor service standards. My primary concerns are as follows: Limited Menu Communication: Upon arriving, I was disappointed to find a restricted holiday menu that did not include the dishes I had specifically come for. While I understand the need for a limited menu on busy holidays, this should have been communicated to guests waiting outside. Waiting an hour to be seated only to realize the items I craved were unavailable was a significant letdown. Inattentive Service: Despite the restaurant not appearing to be at full capacity, the service was lacking. My father's meal arrived significantly later than the rest of the table's, and basic needs--such as coffee refills for my mother and water for the table--were never addressed. No one checked in to see if we were satisfied with our meal at any point. Gratuity Policy: Regarding the 18% gratuity for parties of six or more, I completely respect the policy in principle. However, when the service does not meet basic expectations, being told I must pay a specific dollar amount--in this case, $40--feels intrusive. I am someone who genuinely enjoys leaving generous tips in cash to reward good service; being forced to pay a set amount for a subpar experience felt less like a gratuity and more like an unjustified surcharge. I believe your establishment is capable of much better. I hope you take this feedback into account to ensure future holiday guests receive the transparency and quality of service that originally made me a loyal customer.
