Strange joint, but pretty good. Ordered a carne asada burrito ($8.99) and a solda ($1.99). Total of my bill $6.55. I paid then looked at the bill and noticed that she had me down for a Chorizo and egg burrito ($3.99). No big deal, I'm not that picky. Didn't take too long. Burrito had a homemade fresh tortilla. Size was fair for the price. Chorizo was a bit dry and it had potatoes in it. I would have preferred beans, but everybody has different tastes. Red salsa was pretty good, green salsa was great. No soda in the ice machine, so I had a warm Pepsi. Another customer informed the girl that the machine was out of ice, but the problem was never remedied. No public restroom on site....you have to go to the Chevron station next door...just a warning. Overall, it was okay; I would give it another shot the next time I am in the area. read more

Los Amigos messed up my togo order and when I went home I realized, so I had to drive all the way back. Long story short, they have great customer service. As should in any customer service/restaurant industry, they let me keep the wrong order and offered to remake my order because it has been sitting for an hour. To any customers who has experience this type of mistake, please keep in mind, customer service/restaurant mistakes happens all the time. Great small local shop. My family goes every Tuesday for their taco specials. Ordering ahead and then picking up is advised during lunch hours and around 3pm when nearby students end school. They have a range of taco selections for their Tuesday specials including carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, and fish. Their tortas are huge and the price hasn't changed much since years back. I came here after the gym ISO a breakfast burrito since I was craving it. I ordered the Los Amigos burrito and asked them to cut it in half so I can share with my fiance. Typically breakfast burritos are really big and filling. We each ate half and were left wanting more. Next time, I would get one whole one for myself. (Sorry I didn't take photos of the food since I was so hungry). In terms of flavor, the ham, bacon, egg, and beans were cooked well and tasted great. The potatoes were undercooked so it was a little hard when biting into it/chewing. We opted to get the burrito without rice since it seemed to have a lot of carbs already. If you want to get the Los Amigos with chorizo instead of ham, it will cost you $1 extra. I got the food to-go and it came with a red and a green sauce. The sauces were not too spicy. Simply put- this place is quick and easy. Woke up craving a breakfast burrito, so I headed over on a Wednesday morning. There wasn't a wait at all, and I was able to receive my $4.25 potato, sausage, egg, and cheese burrito within 5 minutes. There's no salsa bar here, so be sure to ask for your green and red salsas. I've also come on Tuesdays for their Taco Tuesday's and there was a line that almost went out the door! The line moves fast, however, so don't be fooled into thinking it'll take you forever and a day to get your food. I got the pollo asada (chicken) and carne asada (beef) tacos, and loved it! Another strip mall miracle! $0.89 taco Tuesdays and Monday-Friday after 8pm till closing (I assume 10pm)!! KAZAMM!! A lovely couple run this place, the wife cooks and the husband chats it up in the front haha. This little place is nestled somewhere in the strip mall, adorned with a bajillion neon signs. Seriously, 89 cent tacos, 89 cent ASADA tacos are all you need in life. Even though it's 89 cents, the tacos are filling! A generous amount of asada plus a copious amount of cabbage, onions, and cilantro. I'm not a huge fan of raw cabbage and not a ginormous fan of cilantro, but luckily, it's on top so I just flick it off haha. Really though, one of the better tasting asada meat in the area, it really tastes like meat! Fish tacos are pretty tasty too, it's battered, not too heavily like Taco Nazo, but it's also smaller. Skip the carnitas and chicken anything, it's extremely dry, you can see the pictures...dry.. heh... But the asada and fish is good to go! The tostada with choice of meat is a good deal too. I've also had the asada fries, it's literally asada and fries lol, well, there's melted white cheese too, it's alright for $3. Nachos and sopes with asada is good too, but the sopes were your average, pre-made from the factory type and nachos are mainly good if you eat it there as it gets a bit soggy with all the dang toppings lol. Torta is also great, with asada of course, comes with avocado and all the normal veggies. Pretty much anything with asada is good though, so I'm slightly biased. Basically, just get the asada in bread, or tortilla, on top of something, as a condiment, or whatever else you can get your hands on, the asada is just delicious. Don't forget to pair it with their red and green salsas (green the favorite, spicy and funky)! Overall, it's a solid 4 stars for something quick, tasty, and friendliness. Happy eating!! read more

It's definitely the closest I've ever gotten to the ones I get from taco trucks. For $0.89, you get a heaping quantity of onions and cilantro with a fair amount of meats. If you're not a fan of the drier carne asada, I suggest the al pastor. The fish is highly popular amongst my coworkers. This place is a great place for a quick fix of lunch. Wait is minimal except sometimes during lunch hour; aim for coming in around 11:30 AM to beat the rush. Parking is a shared lot and is plenty simple. Seating is fairly limited. Employees are polite and friendly although they did manage to mess up a big order once, so make sure they repeat it back to you or check before you leave. P.S. When I called I fist asked if their menudo came with hominy. They said yes of corse. Then I ask why there wasn't any in mine. She explained because they were out of it so they made it without. I asked her shouldn't they have told us they didn't have ingredients before taking the order serving it for pick up. She said I could bring the menudo back the next day for a refund. After my mom and I lost at bingo at the senior center on Friday, we needed some place to eat lunch. There is a Chinese place that I saw on Yelp but I was also craving Mexican food. I've been to Mexican places with wet burritos that cost $10 without the drink so I had to try there. I was thinking if it was small, I could get a $1.99 bfast burrito also. We found the place and went in and there were a couple of tables eating already. It's not a very big place but had enough seating for 8 tables I think. We both ordered the wet burrito combo with mine being carnitas and mom's being carne asada. They have a coke machine which is a plus since we prefer coke over pepsi. When the food came out, it was bigger than I thought. The burrito was covered half green and half red sauce and it looked great. When I took my first bite, I realized the sauce which I thought was Colorado and chile verde sauce ended up being red and green salsa on top. I did still like it because I do like the kick that it provided but when I order a wet burrito, I'm looking for sauces and not salsa. All in all it was still good with mom's carne asada tasting a little better than my cubed carnitas. My overall rating of 4 stars was mainly due to the bargain that you get for only $6 + tax. I prefer Mayan Tacos wet burrito but for half the price, you can't go wrong here. I do want to try their soft tacos for 89 cents on Tuesday all day or dinner from 8-10 pm on weekdays. read more

I only come to Los Amigos on Tuesdays because of their Taco Tuesday deals. They sell tacos for about 89¢ or so?? more or less, i don't really remember. But i know that it's cheaper than a 1$ for each taco. I usually order on the phone and pick it up because waiting in line is exhausting. the inside of the restaurant is extremely small and not very spacious. not much room to stand in line or even just to wait for your food to come out. There's always a lot of kids there because Walnut HS is right down the street too, so there's never really much space. The food comes out very fast however, that's one thing i really like about Los Amigos. Other than the restaurant space, i have yet to find anything negative about the food there! my order always comes out quickly, whether it's 20 tacos or 3 tacos, i have never had a problem! it's always super tasty. highly recommend this place if you're looking for dank tacos on a tuesday! read more

Used to be good about a month ago when I last went. Went again recently and saw not only has the ambiance declined, but the food has too. The walls look horrible and is filled with concrete patches and the floor is just concrete.I ordered my usual go to only to see half the portion I usually get in terms of both rice and meat.
