This bakery is on a side street so if you do not go around town it is easy to miss. The setup is a standard bakery. All the signs are in Spanish so they assume you know what it is. In fairness to them, English speaking bakeries do it too but in English. The staff speak some English making it a bit difficult to find out what it is or if you have allergies whether or not to avoid it. The staff is friendly. The prices are standard bakery prices. I had the conejo and Berlin crema which are the exact same thing but different presentation. I had the erizo which you need a fork to eat. I did not know that and it is like trying to eat chocolate cake with your hands (if you did not get the fork). The most memorable part was a male staffer that really did not want to work and wanted everyone to know it. He spent his time kissing his girlfriend, talking to her, and letting her touch his chest. Loved this place!! I was looking for coffee shops in the area and came across this location. I loved it here! They have fresh pastries, sandwiches, and the best/strongest coffee I've ever had! This place was outstanding. The kindest staff. I love how it's a cafe tucked into sleepy hollow that is baking up and serving authentic Chilean goodies and selling them. They make their own sodas too. A of their breads are delicious and fresh. I had a sandwich. Fresh grilled juicy beef layered with fresh avacado tomato and incredible ingredients. Their hot sauce is so flavorful. Not spicy but delicious. I slathered and dipped into on everything. I even bought to take home. The flower bread so pretty and delicious. The empanadas are the best I ever had. Extraordinaire. Wow. The bread phenomenal and stuffed with beef .flavor, olives. An egg and highly recommend. The cakes with light and pillowy. Small local bakery on a side street in Tarrytown. I wasn't familiar with some of their offerings and the staff was patient and friendly in answering my questions. I got an alfajor that was short, crumbly and sweet as it should be. I love dulce de leche and the added coconut coating made for a great combo. My son got a custard bun that was soft and tender. Recently I've been checking out bakeries in Westchester. I saw Los Andes on Yelp and figured it was worth a try. Parking is a bit difficult but I was able to find street parking nearby. The store is clean and bright. The women working behind the counter were very nice and helped me to select savory and sweet items. There is a sizable selection of authentic Chilean pastries. My father in law and I had their beef empanadas at a table in the shop. We took rolls and a larger flat bread and an assortment of pastries to go. The beef empanada was sizable and delicious. Zesty beef filling, great crust, and a nice spicy dipping sauce. The rolls and flat bread were quite good as well, we enjoyed them with dinner later. The desserts were a real highlight. The alfajores were amazing, a couple of items that featured layers with dulce de leche in between were delicious, and the "Berlin" was a great custard filled doughnut. I feel like this bakery is a hidden secret. We've only been a couple of times but each time is a journey in flavor and cakes. I usually just ask them to choose a couple of things for me and that's most likely very annoying to them but appreciated by me. Last time I had this Carmel custard thing that reminded me of the cafes in Portugal that I was once lucky enough to be in. Let me just say , the owner here is very obliging and kind. I walked in (on a pandemic rule "individually wrapped" cookie emergency mission) where there was just one person working the counter. The owner pulled a worker from the back to help me immediately and never blinked at my please right now request! Must have been a surprise-I bought every single mini alfajor they had in the shop and asked them to put 2 in separate baggies. No Complaining just action. In my book that is excellent customer service, but I do recommend always calling ahead if possible. South American bakery treats have a different dough, they are not overly sweet, the caramel and chocolate/icings make them something perfect. They have a good selection as well, and I have never been inside the bakery and not seen someone order empanadas and cafe. I look forward to another stop in with added pics. read more

Got an urge for an empanada, googled empanadas near me & got Valley Bakery aka Los Andes Bakery in Sleepy Hollow. Scooted down to the bakery and order two beef empanadas sight unseen. The server asked whether I would like them warmed - yes I replied. They arrived boxed so could not tell what they looked like. I kind of expected a crescent shaped patty, like the ones I had in Argentina or Rubins Empanada in Manhattan. No, they were square. OK, no problemo. Open one up looking to see what is in there. Find ground beef, raisins, egg, onion & a whole black olive somewhat disappointed about the olive. The empanadas I had have stuffed green olives to add that saltines. All in all the empanada was delish moist not dry. Oh BTW the empanadas are big one is great for lunch & at $4 it's a bargain. read more

What a gem up in Sleepy Hollow! My husband and I hit up Los Andes Bakery after a trip to the beautiful Rockefeller State Park (highly recommend this combo). We ordered a near feast of several pastries and beverages for under $18. A great place for an inexpensive lunch or a snack. The two empanadas we ordered couldn't have been more different. We ordered a plain queso empanada that was buttery and flaky with stretchy, rich cheese on the inside, and piping hot. We also ordered a carne empanada that was more breadlike, folded into four corners like the pictures you can see here, filled with many ingredients like ground beef, olives, raisins (maybe??), and an entire hardboiled egg. As few others noted in other reviews, the outside was toasty warm but still quite cold on the inside. However, it was absolutely delicious reheated at home to the desired temperature, and served with their tangy salsa. Perhaps if you are eating it right away rather than bringing empanadas home, you can ask them to reheat it extra hot just in case. We also ordered some sort of guava twisted pastry that was so special and delicious-- could have used more guava, but was quite a memorable experience! There was a twisted cone-like pastry (can't remember the name, despite a Google search) wholly stuffed with dulce du leche, rich and beautiful to look at (JUST LIKE ME... kidding). It is expensive and not worth it. OVERRATED. Los Andes Bakery made all of family have to run to the bathroom. I don't recommend any of the empanadas- the meat seems cheap and they were not filled with proper Chilean olives or eggs. We couldn't even finish them. The cheese empanada seemed skimpy as well. There was barely any cheese. Normally I would right an amazing review for this place but after this experience it seems as if they lost parts in their supply chain and people. There are a few nice women who work the front- not the owner but I think her name is Mia. She is always great. If you want the best Chilean Food in the Tri-State area - you will have to travel to Wappingers Falls to a bakery called Los Hornitos Bakery. read more

Cute little bakery in the beautiful town of Sleepy Hollow. Come in for coffee and oatmeal around 11:30 am but they were out of oatmeal. The lady behind the counter told us it was lunch time so they did not refill the oatmeal pot. We decided to get empanadas but she informed us that they did not have cheese empanadas yet. We were confused because it seems like they did not have breakfast but they were also out of lunch items. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.
