I've been to the Rams training came a few times over the past 2 years and it's been a pretty cool experience. The training camp practice is free to attend but you have to reserve tickets online ahead of time. Parking at Loyola Marymount is $20. Aside from watching practice they have a fan zone area where kids can participate in a few random activities, they have a merch booth, and a few snack stands selling food. With how much tickets cost to go to actual NFL games I think the training came events are a great way to have an affordable family outing and get a little bit of the NFL experience without breaking the bank at Sofi Stadium. If the Rams aren't your thing or you're looking to experience more NFL teams during training came look into the Dallas Cowboys out in Oxnard over in Ventura County. read more

So this is an update to my previous review of camp that took place at UC Irvine. Camp relocated to LMU in 2024 and I have to say that the experience was a lot better than before. Since there's a smaller field and bleacher seating, the crowds are reduced and it's a more "intimate" time where you're closer up to the field and not herded into cramped spaces. Although they still charge for parking, getting into camp was a breeze and there was no "waiting area" as before to get into the field. This time around you could just go straight to the fields from the gate upon opening. Although it's more improved, I hear they'll be moving again in the future so I hope the next experience is just as good. read more

Last year I had the VIP tent with complimentary food. This year, ironically, I had an even better view as most of the practices were close to the bleachers. I noticed the food trucks, beer garden and had an area for the kiddos to play with bouncies ,etc. I definitely recommend the funnel cake here. Snacks and drinks are sold here as well but I think there's opportunity for more refreshments. The bleachers are covered but it would be good to bring your own seat cushion. There's a holding reception type area when you arrive. It's a little confusing when they open up and let the crowd in. The crowd control does a decent job in handling the lines. read more

This past weekend, my friend and I went to the Rams training camp. Seeing that first pass of the official training season from Stafford to Kupp was amazzzzzzzing. They are an unstoppable duo. WR1 in the league! Let's gooooooo. Overall, DJ Mal-ski was awesome, as always. Walking into the event with his usual amped up spirit and beats was exciting. He knows how to pump us up. Watching the players do drills was so fun. If you love the Rams, this is super cool. If you wear another football teams gear, prepare to be strongly booed as you walk by the bleachers. Super cute towel in the shape of a jersey giveaway! And for season passholders, we got an awesome license plate frame. I already have put it on my car! We didn't get a chance to try the food because we didn't want to lose our seats, but people had pop, water, beer and the nachos looked bomb! Then the not so great... ~It was a 15 minute walk from the $15 parking. That was lame af. ~Getting into the parking was also a clusterF. It was an insanely long wait and staff was not great at directing the crowds. ~Once you get to Crawford Field, entering was really confusing. It was a thick crowd of people pressed together trying to shuffle in. Anxiety inducing. My friend found a random secret entrance so we were able to skip some of the shuffle before being funneled back in. There's gotta be a better way than one entrance to the practice. ~The bleachers are uncomfortable and super small. This is a college field so I guess that comes with the territory. But you're smashed in with people. ~Where you are seated matters. A LOT. The best seats are right where you enter with most other seats sucking, LOL! Plus people stand right in front of the bleachers obstructing views. Security tries their best to get them to move, but people just don't care. Many were arguing with security when trying to move them. I would go again next year knowing what I now know, but this is a one and done type of thing. I'll go for the season ticket holder day next year but no need to go for multiple days. read more

Went here on Friday. Awful signage when driving around campus, we basically followed 2 cars we were assuming were there for training camp as well. Parking was $18.00. Staff was friendly. Corona bottled beer (poured in cup) $8.00. A few small bleacher sections. Very large field with poor visibility of the players. Questionable crowd, lol. To be fair, the Rams are not my favorite team, however they could have provided decent seating for the fans. read more

Amazing I am definitely visiting again had a awesome time and had some amazing food would highly recommend!

Me and my best friend of 48 years decided to go to the Rams practice for the first time and since the tickets were free we went. But after getting there wand parking we could see why the tickets were free. We paid $18.00 to park then they make you throw out your water bottles and Gatorade in the trash cans before entering only to step inside and be be told "get your water bottles and Gatorade here only $5.00 lol plus they were making all the poor old ladies take their purses back to their cars a 1/4 mile away but still use a metal detector to check everyone. The food trucks and Rams clothing and souvenirs were way overpriced so we didn't spend a dime. Also i couldn't get a handicap seat for the life of me all the chairs were taken up by perfectly looking healthy African American people and there kids and then i was told only i could have a chair if one came available but not my friend. I felt like people were being favored because of the color of there skin and not their disability. At times it felt like a uncomfortable atmosphere. Going here once is fine but not twice. read more

Didn't have a great experience at all. I am happy that the Rams are back in LA and have been a fan since the Ferragamo (btw, he was a great restaurant in OC) and Jim Everette days. Came here because KCBS are the channel for the Rams games and was here for the kids day. There were supposed to be autograph signings, free Spinners, try on Jerseys. According to the Rams and UCI website, it was supposed to be at 3:30pm and 3,000 fidget spinners were given out. http://www.parking.uci.edu/rams/schedule.cfm We got there a little after 3:30pm, by passed the security bag check, passed the merchandise truck and of course with our luck, they were out of the fidget spinners. We tried looking for the other kid's activities but all we saw were tons of news crews everywhere and VIP tents. The shaded, first come first serve, bleachers were way too far away from the players. Can't really see much especially with the people walking by. Really, someone dropped the ball on planning this event. Can't imagine baking in the heat looking for things to do. Parking was $10 at the nearby Garage and pretty much a rip off for just 30 minutes of our time seeing nothing. We asked some of the UCI and security staff on where the kid's activities were and no one seems to know. There were no signs by the entrance or even a map and time of the scheduled activities. There are a few more dates left until the 17th of August. I wouldn't pay the $10 to park if I were you, I'd be just disappointed. But if you want to take buy something at In-N-Out and walk over, that probably be the best way for a quick 30 minutes. read more

If you're a Rams fan you have to come and check out training camp. Unless you are loaded with cash this is the best way to see the players in action and up close. COST Entrance to training camp is totally FREE! Parking on-site will set you back $10 if you purchase your parking online and at least the day before. If you purchase parking that day it will cost $14. Either way, it's a small price to pay to get this kind of access to an NFL team. LOCATION The Rams train on Crawford Field at the UC Irvine campus. UCI is convenient to the 405 freeway and easily accessible to anyone in Orange County. SETUP Park in the Mesa parking structure, walk by the Bren Events Center, and you'll encounter the security personnel. After your bags are checked you're free to walk around the practice area. The Rams have two full sized football fields. Hospitality and family/friends tents line the south end zones, but if you walk past them you can to the rails by Crawford Hall where you can see the players entering and exiting. Bleachers line the sidelines of both fields with half of each set of bleachers in the sun and half covered. Adults can also watch from the covered beer gardens located near the 50-yard line of each field. The north end zones also have bleachers or you can simply stand along the rails and watch practice unlike the sidelines where they shoo people away from the rails if they are blocking the view of the people in the bleachers. Although there is a small concession area near the entrance, most of the concessions are in the northeast corner of the facility near the bathrooms and down a short flight of stairs. KIDS ZONE If you have kids you have to make sure and stop by the Kids Zone. You sign an online liability waiver, spin the wheel for a prize, and then your little ones can then play on a huge inflatable slide, an inflatable obstacle course, and practice passing and kicking field goals. CONCESSIONS They don't care if you bring in bottled water and I don't think they really care if you bring snacks either. In 2017, they had a small concessions stand just past security and then a larger concessions area next to the Kids Zone. You can get Mexican food and hot dogs, but your kids are going to want to grab a funnel cake or a snow cone. The prices are no worse than any other event like this and certainly cheaper than what you'd find at the Coliseum. Each of the fields has a beer garden at midfield with $5 beers. AUTOGRAPHS If your kids are lucky they can win an autograph token when they spin the wheel at the Kids Zone. This grants them access to an organized post-practice autograph session with a pre-selected group of players (O-line, D-line, QBs/TEs, etc.). Wait in line by the far bleachers after practice and the kids will be shepherded on one side of a short metal divider while the parents can watch from the other side of the barrier. It's all very organized and peaceful. If you don't have an autograph token, you can line up along the rails and wait for when the players leave practice. Of course not every player can sign autographs or take selfies but plenty of them do so. It probably helps if you know their names (instead of just yelling out "hey you" or "number X"), are a kid, hot young woman, or are wearing Rams gear. read more

Camp had limited ADA seating and did not prioritize seating for those in wheelchairs and turned them away because the tiny Ada areas were full. Most of the covered space was taken up by VIP areas which I guess is more important than accommodating those with disabilities. The marketing team harassed us and determined that they needed an entire area (not blocked off) to aid VIP check in. The security eventually let us stay in our spot in the sun, but told everyone else to "stay behind the chair" referring to my quadriplegic family member. Gross. read more

We got there before practiced started and could not find a seat and standing area was 6 rows deep... couldn't see anything. My updated review for the Rams Training Camp is lower than my original post. Why? Primarily because the parking fee range was unclear. There are now two different parking fees. $10.00 if you prepurchase at the minimum the day before vs $15.00 the day of. The Rams and UCI websites weren't clear. Normally if you prepurchase parking it means before you get to the facility even the day of but apparently now it means at least the day before or else you will be charged $15.00 even if you purchase parking online. When I called the Rams at 818-338-0011I told them what their website stated and what UCI transportation charged etc. They basically blew me off and told me it was all UCI because it's their parking and not the Rams parking or personnel. I asked if I was out of luck and the Rams rep basically repeated what he had already told me but thanked me for letting them know so they could update their website. He didn't even throw me a bone like, "Hey for the incoveniance let me send you a free whatever." That would have been good customer service but instead I was told in a polite way tough luck not our problem. Also, the Rams and UCI need to raise the bleachers about five feet from the ground to allow a clear view of the field. read more
