Had the most ridiculous nachos craving last night when most places would've been closed. came to see what was still open and I came across this spot. About 15mins drive from me but it was 110% worth it. Not too many options on the nachos list which worked for me in that moment as I wasn't in the mood to start thinking and having to make choices. Simply "super nachos" chicken or beef. Didn't even care what all was on it but assumed it'd be loaded and boyyyy was it super! I got the beef and I loved it! Also, this is me eating nachos after like a 6year hiatus and I probably won't eat nachos for another 6 years so this was absolutely worth it! Not sure if this place is fast food? Cuz if it is , it sure beats the crap out of Taco Bell. Because they both have drive thrus. If its dine-in it falls short of other tex-mex options like Los Cucos. However, if it is its own taco restaurant it is pretty decent. They are fast, the employees are friendly, and if you're looking to the stay in the car you have a great option. All their items are bit of on the salty side, the portions are good, but the quality is not superb. However, because of how fast they are, it is very delicious as I consider it the BEST Mexican fast food in town. I usually go and get their mixed rice and meats place as they are very filling. We moved to Texas a 1 year ago and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and we finally found it!! Their hard shell tacos are legit hard shell, not like fast food. Their Chile relleno a we're fluffy and cheesy and their enchilada sauce is Smokey and just spicy enough! Their chips for their nachos are nice and thin and crispy. Ask yourself this question would you rather eat at this place or eat ramen noodles at home.... My answer is ramen noodles at home let me tell you why. I've come here a few times when I have a craving but don't want to drive too far. I normally get the 5 mini tacos. They're okay I add alot of lime and green sauce. After reading all the raving reviews I finally decided to give this place a try. We ordered carne asada tacos, burrito, a chicken plate. Food was blah no flavor and cold. First red flag; pico de gallo on the tacos. The chile rellenos were covered in some gross thick gravy. The tacos were flavorless on cold, dry, hard tortillas. If you've eaten authentic tacos you know the tortilla should be warm, soft and glistening with yummy oil aka flavor. This place used to be a go to for my family, but it seems as quick as the past 2 weeks the portion sizes have changed. The super nacho has decreased in size significantly & the horchata seems to be watered down now. We do get other items, but this is what we ordered the last 2 visit we made here and that was no more then within a 10 days span. I found this hidden semi-gem using the handy dandy yelp app. They serve barbacoa...yes, I'm there. I've been here a couple times and it has potential. It's nice, the ladies are not overly friendly but they are pleasant. I went with the mini tacos 6.50 and mexican coke each time, so well under 10 bucks. The first time I tried the barbacoa and the tacos were good but just so unnecessarily greasy (see pic). I thought my stomach was going to have a hard time digesting it and frankly it did. Not long after I ate there I had a bit of a rumble in the tummy. No explosions from anywhere, I'm happy to report. But I don't like the ohh I'm about to throw up feeling even if I don't.... The next time, I was craving tacos again and decided to go with the carnitas. These were the driest tacos ever. That meat was not tender at all, tough and overcooked. I will not make that mistake ever again!!! I prefer my tacos traditional with lots of onions and cilantro. They have a sneeze guarded table with many sauces and salsa to choose from. There is not one I particularly like. I try a combo with the free chips and on the tacos. I moved to the area about 4 years ago and a friend recommended this restaurant so I wanted to try it. I always order carne asada fries. I was very pleased with the quality of the food, but more recently, since new ownership the food quality has gone down and prices have gone up. I understand that inflation has hit all industries, but the fries taste like they are frozen, not fresh and soggy. Excellent "KISS principle" burritos. Simple, delicious, and cheap. Great addition to Katy. We have been to LRs a couple of times. Both times my daughter ordered the chorizo and eggs plate. She loves the way LRs cooks their eggs: plenty of eggs and not too greasy. To compare the burritos at LRs to Chipotle, Uberrito, or Freebirds, LRs focuses on simplicity. No rice or veggies...just meat, potatoes, and cheese. I have had both the carne asada and California burritos, the first one has guacamole, and the second has pico de gallo. I prefer the California burrito between the two. I was served a 16-ounce monster that was plenty of food for two meals. LRs does not skimp on the meat. It is tender, seasoned just right, and definitely satisfying. One think I like about LRs is the salsa bar, which is almost like Taco Cabana. Plenty of salsa choices. LRs does have spicy pickled carrots that I really like. The tortilla chips are ok, but I can really dive into those carrots! My burrito and my daughter's chorizo plate came to less than $15 and was delivered in less than ten minutes. Great lunch/brunch spot. I was craving Mexican tonight. Husband said, "Ok! I was told we should try Los Balito's." I was up for whatever, I just really wanted ooey-gooey-cheesy-TexMex. We sat in & had real chips served with some kind of bean soup to dip in. I think there were chunks of sausage in it. Hot (temperature-wise), flavorful, not too salty & beans were soft. DELISH! We both ordered the Mar y Tierra burrito. Also good! This had shrimp, beef, cheese, rice & some kind of sauce inside. The burritos are large so you don't ever have to worry about still being hungry. Moved here from Southern California two years ago, where great tasting tacos and burritos are plentiful. Found Bolitos and really enjoyed it until late last year/early this year when the taste, quality, portion sizes and service all seemed to decline. Spent almost $50 for two burritos, 5 rolled tacos, chips and extra guacamole and the burritos were noticeably smaller and the tacos were soggy. Bummer. Their menu doesn't reflect actual prices. Example; I ordered chicken enchiladas which I was charged $7.50 (this only includes cheese), plus $1 plate fee plus $3.50 chicken fee. The menu says certain drinks are $2 but they are actually $3.00. Even the nachos are $3 more than what's on their menu. It's ridiculous! If I would've ordered the same exact thing on their website it came out to be 34.50 but I paid $57. Extremely overpriced for fast food. read more

This is my second time coming here but I won't be returning. They didn't give me all of my order and there was a piece of hair in 2 out of 3 of the boxes. I ordered a side of chips and guacamole but only got chips, which had hair in them. I also ordered rolled tacos and a California burrito. The rolled tacos had hair in it as well. Moved here from San Diego a couple of years ago. I couldn't find anything even remotely close to my beloved San Diego Mexican taco shop until this place. Carne Asada fries and rolled tacos are 100% on point with San Diego. The carne asada burrito and California burrito are pretty close to San Diego; 85% on point. I am so glad I found this place. I used to love coming to this taco shop. I probably used to go at least 2-3 times a week to get food. The prices and taste were very good. That's why I always overlooked the MANY times they messed up my order (They'll give you incorrect items and over charge you all the time). That being said, I went again recently after not going for some time and was blown away by how much the prices jumped in 1 year. Burritos that used to be 5-6 dollars are 9 dollars now. Tacos that were 2 dollars are 4 dollars now. I understand the inflation we are going through, but I was expecting something more steady of a price raise but almost a 100% increase?!?! These are literally restaurant prices. To make matters worse, at the drive thru they try to solicit a tip now. The options were $3, $5, $7, and other for a 4 dollar taco. I used to love this place because I'm from Southern California and it's the closest thing to socal Mexican food I've been able to find. However, the last few times I've gone, the lettuce tastes like they are bleaching it and not washing it out. What results is food that tastes like they use cleaning products as a sauce! Plus, they started charging for condiments like the jalapeños and carrots when they never used to before. For those reasons, I'll find my socal Mexican food fix elsewhere. read more
