Special Carnitas burrito (pictured) was delicious! It's a smaller restaurant in a shopping plaza but don't let that deter you. My daughter is kind of a burrito snob and she enjoyed her Wet burrito (not pictured). The sauce available at the bar was also tasty. This place is good. Very fast-food like, so don't expect super high quality authentic Mexican. It's very TexMex-like, what I mean by that is Americanized Mexican food. The taste is good, though, especially if you're in a rush and want a burrito. They have a salsa bar, which is always good. You pay at the cashier and they bring your good to your table, no table service besides that. I'm not even sure if they offer refills or not. They have very authentic juices, which are DELICIOUS and one of the reasons I'm coming back for sure. This place is great! A little back story, I grew up in San Diego, California and still consider the Mexican food there the best in the country. My favorite thing was California burritos which are Carne Asada, fries, sour cream, cheese, and sometimes guacamole. This place has California burritos! They are really GOOD, the carne asada is very similar to what I loved from San Diego, and the fries were perfect. I will be back here for sure and soon. This place is average at best. I'm only giving this place an "A-OK" 3 stars because it's the only place I know about around Killeen that has Carne Asada Fries and California Style Burritos. The flavors and taste are just okay at best. There isn't really any spice or zing that brings out the flavors of their food. It's literally just seasoned meat, store bought sour cream, and Guacamole. The food might be average but the workers there are really nice. You can tell that they are genuine people and they love serving their cultural food to the Central Texans. I had a conversation and they told me they're actually from California...so there food is the legit Cali style stuff. 2nd time in two weeks i got overcharged. First time they said their new prices were higher than on the paper menu. They said the price would be even higher if I used credit card so I paid cash which was the new prices plus the 8.25% tax. Second time I knew exacatly how much it "should" be plus tax. However, once again it was more. I paid the new price which was higher than on the paper menu, plus the 8.25% sales tax then an additonal 4% which I assume is their credit card fee but I didn't use a credit card. I paid cash to avoid that fee but looks like I still got charged it anyway. I didn't get a receipt so I can't show them anything but the changed I received. Not a right way to run a business. First time the burritos were meaty. Second time there were tiny bits of meat and a lot was grisly. Won't go back. read more

OMG... I am a review reader so I knew they had some good feedback. But damn that lengua burrito is nothing short of heaven sent. I couldn't stop going back. I was eating there once a week and every time I went to pick up it was clean and smelled fresh of bleach at the end of the night. I even saw them cleaning the trash can. It's really nice to get food from a spot that takes pride in not making people sick with their food. I've seen flies swarming over the chipotle food and food service workers barely swat them. This is NOT chipotle. It's a clean, happy burrito with authentic ingredients and the quality only people who care about health codes can provide. I'm also a Cali guy, and so far, this is the best mexican food I've had in the Killeen area. I hate the fact that is on the opposite side of town from me, but its well worth the drive. We had previously been going to Taqueria Mexico because it was close to our house, but Los Burritos puts them to shame. The super burrito was delicious, packed with tons of meat and the perfect combo of rice, beans, guac, pico, and cheese. And it was big enough that I couldn't even finish it. My wife and I shared the carne asada fries. I've probably had better in California (mostly aesthetically), but the end result was delicious mix of fries, cheese, guac, sour cream, and perfectly cooked bits of carne asada. Different story here, the owner here was working back in San Diego back in 95' at a taco shop called Robertos. He took what he learned and made it his own here in the heart of Killeen. I am very impressed and happy that i found this local place. Now i can have my carne asada fries whenever i please. The red salsa is on point and it reminds of Robertos back home. The burritos here are standard size from back home, you try going anywhere else in the area you'll get half the size. The Owner and his Wife are so friendly too! I come here for the supper burrito. I've been eating here since it was in Harker Heights. I think the supper burrito is the best tasting burrito in town. The house pico de gallo is delicious. The lemonade is very tasty. The cooks leave a lot of cartilage in the burrito. You can easily break a tooth blissfully munching on the burrito. I'm glad I don't take a date here. Having to spit food out is awkward. For seven bucks, they need to cut that stuff out. It's good to cook with but not to leave in. Since moving to Texas my family and I have had problems finding a decent Place to get the kind of Mexican food we use to have in Oregon. los burritos is the closest we've been able to find and enjoy it. Simple menus and quick turn around times is why we keep coming back. Prices are competitive to those Tex-mex joints that like to give you canned queso sauce all over your food.
