The one good thing, the lunches were reasonably priced. Also, although there were a few people in the restaurant at the time I ate lunch, my lunch came out in TWO minutes! Wow! Despite the fact that I asked for NO beans. I had chicken taquitos. They weren't bad, but not the best I've ever had. They were generous with the sour cream and guacamole, but I didn't like the taste of the guacamole. It tasted..... too..... "commercial." Like it wasn't freshly made, it was a commercial thing full of chemicals. Also, the salsa with chips. Over the years I have developed a fine tuned palate for detecting whether the salsa was made with tomato sauce or not. Some Mexican friends I used to know say that using tomato sauce is "cheating." Well, the salsa had tomato sauce. Oh well. I have only been to one Mexican restaurant in my life that made their own salsa fresh with no tomato sauce. There is a sign that indicates "RV and Bus parking" but I wouldn't take your RV in here. You have to drive over a small "hump" to get in the parking lot and an RV will scrape bottom. Really great service and yummy salsa! However, I feel like some of the dishes here lack flavor/salt. The enchiladas and Carne Asada would have to be my favorite here. The service was awesome! My husband and I went in with our toddler for my birthday. Our hostess seemed a little unhappy to be there but our server really made up for it. He was fun and so understanding about us having an on edge toddler. I was indecisive about what to order so our server said he would surprise me. So glad he did! The food is great, and the proportions are large. The place is usually medium full, but they always have room for me and my family. We stop here every so often on our way back to Seattle after our son's soccer games in Eastern Wa. The folks at Los Cabos are extremely nice, and the food is perfectly fine. Great fresh salsa and nice warm chips the moment you sit down. The only thing I agree with reviewer "Ballard" is there is somewhat of a disinfectant smell, but not unlike some other restaurants I've been to - and at least the bathrooms are clean! read more

I tried this place for the first time and won't return. I had the chili relleno which had a 2 bite pepper in it and was not tasty at all. I ate half of my meal and it sat heavy in my stomach... This place is now our go-to sit-down Mexican restaurant! The Ellensburg Blue Margarita was very tasty (although I like salt on the rim of my glass and there was hardly ANY!) and the complementary salsa and chips are some of the best I've had (great combination of spicy with a little salt and lots of sweet tomato flavor-- just the way I like my salsa)! The burritos we ordered we just so-so; huge portions but nothing impressive about the taste or presentation. The tamales, however, were very tasty and I will definitely be ordering more of them upon my next visit! The only negative was the inconsistent service we received on our first visit. While we were greeted and served promptly upon arrival, our server completely abandoned us after bringing our entrees so that he could sit down at a booth and chat-it-up with a friend. We ended up having to wait a good 20 minutes for our check, which normally wouldn't bother me if a restaurant were crowded but it is a bit annoying when it's a result of a waiter's laziness. I'm not going to hold a restaurant accountable for one server's poor behavior, however, and hope to be back soon for more deliciousness! read more

At Los Cabos, the chips, salsa, and guacamole were quite tasty. However, the food after that was downhill. This is my first Yelp review. I am taking time out of my day to let everyone know that this place is the worst place I've ever eaten. My grilled "steak" quesadilla might has well have been playdough from Kmart -- literally the worst food I've ever attempted to eat. My margarita did not have any tequila in it -- what a shame. My tab was over $23 for these two terrible items. MIND BLOWN. Luckily I am not from this area and will never have to return. To all the other folks passing through, BEWARE. This place was great for lunch as we were passing though town on a roadtrip. One of the freshest and best salsas I've had in a long time. My mom and I both had vegetarian avocado tostadas on the lunch special and thought it was great, with a lot of food for the price. The service was super friendly and personable. HORRIBLE customer service!!! And the food wasn't even good! Dried and over-cooked chicken breast, it's honestly inedible. I ordered to-go and had a problem with my food coming out differently than how it was described in the menu and asked to have it made the way it was described. It came with a sauce and I'm allergic to most sauces and lots of other things so I have to be careful when at restaurants to look for things in the menu without a sauce. It stated in the menu that the chicken was made with tomatoes and avocado, not a sauce. I also have all of my other food allergies to think about so it would take an hour to talk to the staff about what I'm allergic to. I just be sure to get something without dairy, gluten, anything spicy, and no sauce. I was then blamed by the girl up front (I guess she was the hostess, she wore a red hoody, glasses and had dark hair up in a ponytail) who said "you should have seen that it came this way in the menu." I told her it wasn't listed this way in the menu and she checked and saw that I was right and then got her manager, who was rude as well. They "fixed" my dish but honestly the chicken is so dry and over-cooked that I can't even finish it. Don't waste your time! read more

We had the misfortune of walking in right after a group of 40 so our waiter came up immediately and said if we ordered quickly he'd make sure to get our food in before the big party. We ordered as fast as possible and got our food super fast. I had some thing I can't remember the name of that was mushrooms shrimp and onions in a spicy sauce, super delicious. We stopped in while traveling through the area. The food was good and the price was more than fair for the amount. As soon as we arrived the son brought hot chips and salsa. I had a chicken enchilada lunch plate for around $8. It was a lot of food and the chicken was chicken breast. Compare that to other fast food places in the area... seriously it is a great deal. The service was amazing. They were constantly cleaning up after diners, pouring water and taking away dirty dishes. It is evident that the family tries very hard. It is not the best gourmet food ever, but for the price and location it is definitely worth the stop. It was a nice break from a long car trip to be waited on. The staff was great with children. The worst customer service in Ellensburg. Our food came about 50 minutes after ordering and mine came out wrong. I ordered chicken tacos but received steak. I tried to suck it up and enjoy the tacos anyway. I couldn't because the steak was very fat and chewy. I had to track down a server to get it replaced. The second plate came out 50 minutes later. I spent so much time waiting for food and they refilled our cups only once. After finishing one taco, we decided to leave because we were just uncomfortable. The older gentleman server barely talked to me and just kept flirting with my friend. He even referred to me as 'the white girl'. When we went to pay for our meal up front, the server ran towards us, obviously trying to make sure we didn't dine and dash. We asked for my meal to be comped given the wait time and order mess up. The girl up front was very rude about it and refused to do so. Go to El Corporal instead. Better food, greater service and good prices. I will never be back due to feeling traumatized in this establishment. read more
