I felt the price point for an enchilada, tamale and rice and beans was reasonable at this point in time ($12.75). The service felt really slow, no urgency here, and no real personality (not sure if that was a language barrier or lack of care). What a great spot in Woodburn. As you walk in, you are greeted warmly and seating in cozy booths. We decided to try their appetizer sampler and the super nachos. Both were very good and left us with plenty of leftovers for another meal or two. Do not miss the horchata and the table salsa. Nummy! Will definitely be back. read more

Decided to have dinner here after realizing another Mexican restaurant was closed on Mondays. I was not impressed at all. They might be having financial issues, idk, but we weren't allowed a refill on chips without paying an additional $3, soda refills were limited to 1 refill, and they charged us for onions on 1 burrito. I got the enchiladas a la crema and they were so dry, it was hard to finish. My photos look like they'd be saucy but it was not. My aunts burrito was the same way. She ordered a smothered burrito, so you'd think it would be covered in an abundance on sauce... oh well. Will not be returning. Server wasn't very friendly either. read more

Every shrimp in our food was not cleaned and had the little intestines! The shrimp were hard and the burrito I order was flavorless, they threw sauce on top and it was not tasteful at all. I ordered a beef tostada, which was good. The meat wasn't greasy and the guacamole was delicious!Our waitress recommended the bacon wrapped shrimp for my husband. Huge shrimp! Los Cabos is great... when you get the right service. My wife and I have had a relationship with this place over the past 6 years. Lots of up & lots of downs, even a 2-year hiatus. But we think we cracked the code- Go on a Friday or Saturday. Ask for Marisela. She's the star of the ocean. A genuinely sweet person, great memory, and goes above and beyond to make sure your dish is 5-star every time. She's also a teacher on the days she's not there. Just do it. I always enjoy their camarones cabos blanco (bacon wrapped shrimp smothered in cheese) or any of their steak platters. The wife usually gets fajitas. They make damn good margaritas too. Since developing the Marisela Theory, we've tested going in on other days- and we won't repeat that mistake. Friday/Saturday + Marisela = 5 stars. Other days - Marisela = 2.5 stars. They sat us in the back windowless room with another group and ignored us up for 20 min before taking our order. The waitress was not welcoming in the slightest. We eventually got our food at 1:20, over an hour after we arrived. The order was also wrong (I ordered soup and they brought rice/beans.) my sisters meal was so gross she sent it back. The terrible service ruined my experience. 1) I met my mom in the bar, where the women server thought I was under 21 and had a fake ID - even though I'm 26 years old. 2) Even though we were in the bar (at 10% capacity), the servers ignored us for 15 minutes before questioning my age. 3) The only had one type of salsa - mild 4) Never refilled our water 5) Didn't give us another to-go box to take the rest of chips home! We asked for another box for our chips and guacamole but she refused without reason - saying we can only take home what we paid for. My husband LOVE this restaurant! Their meat is always quality, no weird fatty chunks or gristle which we have found in most other Mexican restaurants in the area. The flavors of their dishes are amazing too! My favorites are the chile verde and chile Colorado, absolutely delicious. They make fantastic camarones a la diabla as well! The salsa is great too and you can buy jars of it! They are consistent with their quality of food and fast service. Highly recommend this establishment. read more

I think I should always trust Yelp star ratings. The hotel we stayed st highly recommended this restaurant, so I ignored the bad reviews, in favor of the good reviews. When we arrived, there was about 3 customers in the restaurant who looked totally bored. There was no receptionist. We waited 5-minutes to be greeted. Nobody showed up to greet us. My wife said: "...let's get outa here..". We left through the double doors without anyone knowing we were ever there. I wish there was a zero star selection or better yet a minus 5 star rating. In all honesty the food was quite enjoyable. Upon seating they serve you chips and salsa. I ordered the vegetable burrito that was jam packed with an assortment of vegetables (i.e broccoli, onion, cauliflower, mushrooms, green/red peppers), rice and beans covered in sauce served with guacamole and sour cream. My mother and I shared this and were both satisfied. And for a burrito of that size it was only $10 which is a great deal. However, the service was near awful. It took a very long time to order and then get the food and even waiting for our check. With that the host was not kind or friendly in the slightest which ruined a lot of the experience of eating out. We had to get the attention of the waiter for drink refills, extra chips and even standing at the register so we could pay for our food. In all if your looking for cheap Mexican food that's pretty good I'd call in and order to go because the service was subpar. read more
