Once people eat it they end up coming back. I've probably eaten here about 20 times. The food is consistently great. Carne Tacos are around $3-4 The taco depending on which style you get. These are premium tacos and not the junk that you get at the corner taco stand. High quality ingredients and great food. I got a big appetite I can eat about five of those tacos no problem. I'm not crazy about their guacamole or chips. They also have some potatoes which are AKA tater tots. Don't let it fool you though everything else is awesome. I've never tried the burritos yet they are pricey. The tacos here are the best in Riverside hands down! This is my go-to Taco for the inland empire.

Little hole in the wall type Mexican food joint, which is my favorite when I want a quick lunch and am super hungry. Came here with my boyfriend after letting him know i was in the mood for some refreshing ceviche. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and one asada taco and he ordered a California burrito. Service was friendly and quick for weekend lunch time. I enjoyed my ceviche-- shrimp was fresh and the amount of citrus was good. After throwing on tapatio, it was even better haha. As for the taco i ordered, the meat was solid. I think i enjoyed the taco more than the ceviche. There was also a good portion of meat on the taco which was great. My bf gobbled up his burrito pretty quick and he said it was pretty decent. We both enjoyed our food but it wasn't more than 3.5 stars worthy. Needless to say, we have always loved Chilitos. Then why only two stars? Only one reason. They are no longer offering their pico de gallo at their complementary salsa bar. Their pico is delicious, adding extra zing to whatever dish is ordered. Now you can only get the delicious pico if you order with your meal, and it's a very small amount (the tiny plastic cupful) for a dollar. When asked why the change, the very nice young lady said it was because of the increase in tomato prices. Tonight I purchased some very nice Rosa tomato's at Stater Bros for $0.99 a pound, so I am certain restaurants are buying them at an even lower price than the general public. There is something else going on here, and I feel I've been lied to. Bottom line: I will check from time to time to see if the pico is back at the salsa bar. If it is, I'm back as a loyal customer (we go there an average of twice a week). If not, Chilitos loses several regular customers. It's a shame, but there are other Mexican restaurants around that I love and will enjoy my business. If you're a customer, tell Chilitos to return the pico to the salsa bar.
