My current favorite thing to get is the queso poblano taco and the albondiga soup. Always get a humongous smile from the owner when I come and great customer service. It's a great family owned business and an asset to the community.

4.5 stars. I had driven by Los Consomes multiple times on the way to 99 Ranch, and decided to finally try it out since I love soups. The interior was much smaller than I anticipated, with just a few tables. Order and pay at the counter, but your food will be brought out to you if you dine in. The interior decor was simple, but with a clever pun on the wall. Obviously, they have lots of soups on the menu, but some other non-soup dishes too. We ordered the albóndigas (meatball) soup and menudo, plus a chipotle pork taco and a slice of chocoflan. We were also given a complimentary potato flauta to try (as a sample for an upcoming new menu item). The taco was flavorful but pricey. The soups were definitely the highlight of the meal, piping hot and tasty, plus served in ceramic bowls just like in Mexico. The homemade salsa and chocoflan were also excellent. Prices were fair overall. Some of the plates/bowls were slightly chipped, which is bad luck in Chinese culture, if I am being superstitious. Service was very friendly and the lady was bilingual. There was an Asian duo dining before us (makes sense given the area) who said "gracias" with a cute accent on the way out. I really enjoyed the food and would love to come back to try more soups! Wishing this small business the best of luck as a Mexican restaurant in a highly Asian neighborhood (good thing Asians also love soup)!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this restaurant! They have some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. So far, we have tried: Birria Ramen - This fusion dish really is the best of both worlds. The meat was tender, the broth full of bold flavors & noodles cooked perfectly. 10 Stars!! Quesatacos - Both the Al Pastor & Carne Asada are delicious between the layer of cheese and corn tortilla. Be sure to ask for a cup of broth for dipping ;) 10 More Stars!! Super Fries - The best version of loaded fries you will ever have, we picked Al Pastor for the meat & the fries were cooked just right crisp on the outside and tender on the inside... 10 Stars!! How can everything be 10 Stars you ask? I don't know but it is :) Try and save room for dessert because they have Choco Flan! If you don't know this treat it's chocolate cake with a layer of flan on top... And I love!!!!!!!!!! There is also a selection of soda including my favorite Jarritos pineapple :) Los Consomes is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of safe well-lit parking. The restaurant has ample seating and is spotless.

If you're in the area, you need to stop by this place. One of the best quesatacos out there. It was so flavorful. It was made hot & fresh. I enjoyed it so much. I wasn't that hungry, so I only got one to try. If I was hungry, I prob could eat a few. Will definitely get it again but without onions when in the area. I am not sure what the price range is for tacos nowadays. To me, it was kinda expensive for one. I think almost $5 for one. $3.99 for one and then tax...it was really good tho. Service was wonderful.

Yesterday was cold and it was the perfect weather for pozole. The place we were going to go was closed. This provided the opportune time to try this place which has been on my list! It's a small place in a shopping plaza in Artesia. The plaza has ample parking. The staff were so welcoming!! We ordered 2 pozoles and 2 cocas de botella to drink. They provided chips and salsa. The salsa is made with chile de arbol and their own special touches. They said this batch was not as spicy as it usually is and they could bring us spicier. Since I was dining with someone who does not really like super spicy, we continued with the salsa provided. It had just the right heat and a unique delicious flavor which paired nicely with the chips. The pozole hit rhe spot! If you're looking for an authentic spot that serves a variety of caldos (soups), tacos and other Mexican dishes check them out! Price was a bit higher but I feel like everything has gone up! However, the amount of food and quality and service was well worth it! We will be back soon!! Thank you to the owners and staff that took care of us last night!!

I found this little spot driving in the area and craving tacos. I was definitely not disappointed. The tacos were spot on and the asada fries were very addicting I probably ate more than I normally would have The prices were surprisingly low compared to the quantity and quality of their food. I happened to stumble across Los Consumes when I was in the plaza for other reasons. Just opened 6 months, I was excited to see birria on the menu! My son picked a carne asada burrito with everything ($9.99) and I got the birria plate ($12.99); both to go. The burrito is the size of a swaddled baby and try as he could, my son finished 2/3 before he tapped out. I appreciated the grilled tortilla which helped the structure of the burrito and the sheer volume it held; lol. Very tasty and the rice and beans were delicious. The birria was a miss for me and I don't think I'll get it again but we'll definitely be back for tacos, caldos, and burritos. I spied churros on the menu too! Much luck to your future success, Los Consomes! I hope you do well and are around for the long haul.

I ordered through Yelp and my food was ready in a timely manner. I ordered a burrito and nachos. I wish I would've sat in the restaurant to eat my meal because the food is so delicious. I wish more people would eat there. The place is empty when I arrived there was a young lady there. I don't know if she's the daughter of the chef, but she was on the telephone and didn't say hi. I had a Carna Sada burrito and El Pastore nachos, I think. I recommend this place

Food was made fast and delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem. We tried the pork tamales, asada quesadilla, asada quesataco, a taco asada, a taco al pastor, and the fried potato taco. All was enjoyed. Service was stellar. The ambiance really takes you in with the music and decor. We will be repeat customers.

The consome I ordered was put in a styrofoam cup and the lid melted due to the heat and spilled everywhere in the bag.

I ordered the quesanirria tacos which were tasty but the cheese and tortilla in it wasn't crispy like the photos I've seen on other Yelp reviews. But it tasted good at least. I also ordered the fried potato tacos. Was basically a hard taco shell with some mashed potatoes in it. Maybe the deep fried part was only the taco shell? I ordered chips and salsa which there were none but that's partly my fault for not double checking the order but one would assume the order would be complete. Golden rule before picking up food always double check all items are included. Also ordered the al pastor burrito. Was ok. Meat was well seasoned and the flavors were good. Wish there was onions or cilantro or anything else fresh. Per my picture I ordered a side consumme to dip the quesabirria tacos and the lid melted and spilled all over the bag. I was able to salvage it but had to strain out the melted plastic bits of the lid. Clearly not a good delivery vessel for hot liquid. Overall items were missing and expectations were not met with the lack of crispy cheese and tortilla on the tacos and the along with the consumme botch I'll give them 3 stars since the food had good flavor.

This spot is hidden in a busy plaza and I almost missed it. I was greeted by a really nice young man and he explained a couple of items and made a suggestion. I ordered the quesotaco with carne asada which was fantastic! I also ordered the regular carne asada tacos which I ordered 3 which were so good as well! The only disappointment was the potato taco which was just a little plain for my taste. Also I ordered a bottle of coke that they forgot to give us so we had to return to get it. But over all the tacos & quesotacos were really good. read more

Little Mexican spot but super good! Me and the family have been waiting for a good Mexican spot and this place has burritos, tacos, quesadillas and plates. We ordered an asada quesadilla, tacos de pastor, birria quesatacos and a birria burrito. The birria quesatacos are a good size and are super yummy! My husband loved the burrito and the kids loved the asada quesadilla. They have a green spicy salsa and a red one and both are super flavorful! They have a decent selection of Mexican sodas which I loved! Recommend this spot they are just starting but recommend them! read more

Had a great experience! I went for the first after grabbing a coffee at Holos which is in the same shopping center. Service was friendly! I had two chicken tacos, one carne asada taco and chips and salsa. Everything was good and the chips were especially great! I can't wait until they add guac. This place has great food. The food is freshly made and they use better quality ingredients than most Mexican restaurants. As others mentioned, it is clean inside. I can tell they really take care preparing the food. My favorites are the shrimp burrito and carne asada nachos. The shrimp burrito is super flavorful. The carne asada meat is tender and tasty. No weird smell or tough texture. I have tried the carne asada fries here, which were good too, but I like the nachos more. The food does take a while to come out. However, please be understanding and keep in mind they only have one or two people working at a time. I'm sure this will change once they hire more staff. read more

I'm a local and a frequent visitor of this location. Food has always been great and the owners never fail to greet me with a smile and a warm attitude. Place is very casual and humble but don't let that throw you off from the food. I've had the opportunity to try out most of the items/meats and was tender and delicious every-time. They have a great variety of meats and lots of vegetarian options as well. Strong recommendation for anyone in the area or visiting! Los consomés has come to being one of my favorite spots to eat and drink on the weekends. Queso tacos are my favorite to eat there with a nice cold beer. The staff is always nice if that matters to you as well. I do recommend eating tacos there because they soften up in the container on the way home. I seen mix reviews on that so I just wanted to give my input to help give the best experiences/taste when it comes to eat at los consomés. Thank you and I hope this helps :) read more

"The food is amazing here! Lucy and the people here are very nice. She recommended I eat the quesatacos at restaurant because taking them home will have the steam in the container soften them up! This is my third time eating here. And Everytime I always leave satisfied (not easy to do). It's a fifteen minute drive from my residence but well worth it . I would recommend it to anyone . Place was alright not that good and didn't offer free water cups food didn't taste like authentic Mexican food. The salsa tasted like enchilada can salsa wasn't satisfied with my food and didn't want to finish it. Hopefully they can upgrade their stuff and I can give it a try in the future but it wasn't a hit read more

We decided to try this spot out. Upon entering no one was in the front and no welcoming greeting. We order the queso taco it was pretty good and lots of cheese. Taco meat was cold. Rice and beans are bland and overprice. Not sure if the A/C was working but it was hot inside and didn't feel like eating my consomes cause I was already sweating inside. Staff never came out and ask us if everything was ok. And when we left no bye or thank you for coming?! Customer service is lacking, food is ok, inside dining is very plain and hot inside. read more

A friend recommend Los Consomes and it did not disappoint. The woman who helped us was just the nicest if I recall her name is Linda. Now onto the food my son had a carné asada quesadilla that he absolutely loved. I tried the quesataco with birria and it was one of the best I've ever had. We ended our dinner with their mini churros for the win. Their portions are a good size and very affordable will definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area! read more

I definitely recommend this place. They have a variety of food and great customer service. I for sure recommend to eat the quesadilla birria, quesataco birria and or ramen birria it's really good.
